@@zachzachzach Those people are just telling on themselves. Like liberal politicians, they accuse others of what they are guilty of. That guy would help these people out and expect them to pay him. I fix cars for people and don't take money for doing it. They just pay for parts and supplies and any special tools that are required.

This reminds me of a forklift driver I used for work with. Routinely, she would hit things or drop stuff which became very frustrating. One day she was forced to stop driving as it was revealed that her eyesight was becoming too impaired due to a growth in her head somewhere. Turns out, at some point she developed a dark spot in her vision which grew larger over time. She had to have an operation to remove the growth. It all made sense once we learned about her impaired vision. She hid it because she was the main bread winner in her family. Losing her job would affect her family tremendously and driving was all she felt she knew how to do well. She was, in my opinion, our most skilled driver. I'm not saying Darren has vision problems but maybe we have to look outside the box to find the root cause(s) of why Darryl keeps breaking stuff.
There is no excuse for that damage on the truck or for any damage he causes. You joke with him when you call him destroyer but he needs to be held accountable and start paying out of his own pocket. He will learn to be more careful then. I love your channel and watch all your videos. You are so forgiving and generous with your people it amazes me.
In most states you can't legally charge your employee if they cause damage. That's why you carry good insurance. You can however suspend them without pay for it.
That's probably the worst feeling you can have as an employee is when you break something really bad like that, I could tell he didn't have words to say and the way you handled it was amazing, you guys said what needed to be said and moved on. That's a good boss right there.

I love Daryl, I used to have a guy just ike him (Scotty). I couldn't live without him but man it was always an "accident". You are great with him (and Jr). Sometimes I think this stuff is staged. He was mad for 30 seconds then acted like nothing happened. If you watch previous videos Ryan has mentioned about putting a flat bed on the truck to make it easier for salting and cleaning, so you have to wonder sometimes.

I had an employee just like Daryl. I started charging him the cost to fix whatever he broke. One time he was up in an attic and went clean through the ceiling.
I can't believe the patience that Ryan has. I was upset watching the video and it's not my money going out the window! What makes all of Daryls “accidents” worse is he shows no remorse he laughs and thinks it's all a joke. The guy shows up late, causes damage to everything, is always “sick.” I understand loyalty to a friend, it is admirable. When do you separate business from personal though and let your biggest job site liability go. It will take another crew member getting injured by his carelessness unfortunately.
That's the truth Daryl keeps the ratings up with RU-vid. However I’d guess Ryan pulls 10 fold profit from concrete then he does RU-vid. So with that in mind spending the extra money on something that could have got by for another seasons makes me not convinced “it was for show” considering the cost of that rear fender is about $1600. The flat bed was just a byproduct of the “accident”
Plus if it was a coordinated stunt for views and revenue why post it on second channel with sub 70,000 subscribers and far less views than the main channel. I could be wrong but that's part of the reason I don't believe it is staged. I could very well be wrong. We will never know unless the big guy Ryan, himself chimes in this chat.

I work with a few guys like Darryl who constantly make mistakes. My theory is that they're too distracted. Either has ADD or doesn't take care of himself leading to loss in focus. Been there done that, just need to realize it and make a change before it's too late yenno.

Never met someone with that many excuses as a full grown man. It's a real shame when parents dont raise their kids right. That is the reason Daryl Jr is going to be even more of a burden to society than his father is.
Ryan, a number of years ago it was found the power steering pumps in Crown Vics were failing, particularly in Police versions as the pumps could not keep up with the higher revs in say a high speed pursuit. Several cops were killed when they unexpectedly lost control at speed. At first it was a mystery what the cause was but a police driver instructor determined the issue and pumps had to be replaced. It was similar that your pump cutout after a few high-rev burnouts.
@@billy_doink generally making those noises, it could be going out but you gotta make sure it has proper fluid level before you assume that. depending how bad the noise is, might be a good idea to think about finding leaks or replacing the pump/lines. its like a lot of issues where you can assume itll be fine for awhile and it might work for another 10 years but who knows. ask a mechanic or 2 what they think
@@prayforparis422 i replaced fluidd and it made it a little better, but can still hear the pump noise when turning wheel tightly such as tight you turns and such. I'm guessing with fluids proper it means the pumps going bad?
@@billy_doink did you fully flush the power steering? generally easy to do. just need the fluid, a manual fluid pump, container. siphon fluid, add fluid, turn on car, cut wheel back and forth a bunch of times, turn off, siphone fluid, repeat until its clean. but yeah if you own one of those vics that are known for this issue, id be careful and get some quick opinions locally
For me personally it's when people that work for you break stuff or damage your vehicle and they just never seem to say sorry... "it's an accident", it's this, it's that, it's always someone elses fault. People make mistakes there's nothing anyone can do about that but all I ever want is a sorry boss i messed up. Never had it!
Those vehicles at the beginning were not stuck. They just had bad drivers. If only every tow job was that easy! That guy should not be operating a bobcat. He's clearly not intelligent enough.
Hey Ryan, I had that ego single stage snow blower. It's great, but I ended up upgrading to the two stage blower because the single stage struggled with the stuff at the bottom of my driveway that the road plow leaves behind. The two stage handles it fine. Other than the issue above, it was great!

25 minutes. Can you please please please do a monthly video with just you and Daryl. He is such a kind hearted man and your friendship is genuine and true. Hate to say this without knowing but if Darryl is a drinker this is a huge liability for a small businessman, if someone is seriously hurt on or off the job because of impaired driving or equipment operation it could financially destroy Ryan.
I've been watching this channel for a few weeks and have seen Darryl and Co do at least 10 things to get fired, but he's still around. Your level of patience is unmatched! But, maybe I missed it, how is Darryl still around while others get fired? We need a Darryl appreciation video of the good things he does, because I just don't understand. Thousands of dollars in damage through the 20-30 videos I've watched.
Daryl has been fired multiple times in the past 2-3 years. But for whatever reason, Ryan keeps bringing him back. Daryl’s only good for driving the Mac to dump concrete and pick up gravel, even then he still breaks stuff. Power lines, etc. 🤷🏻♂️
Honestly…. Ryan probably saves money with Darryl being a CDL licensed driver and just being kinda laidback with Darryl’s laziness and clumsiness. CDL drivers are in huge demand now.

"Accidents" out of pure carelessness, especially when they repeatedly happen should come out that persons paycheck. Even if it's only $20. a week until paid off. Sometimes you have to make a person care and no better way of doing that than making them financially responsible for their carelessness.
I won't give to salvation army. Years ago, my mother measured and sold all the flooring in the homes of 4 top people for the organization, and they were all massive mansions, and the people were very rude and snobs... I mean *really" not nice people, and they treated the installers horribly, like servants. My father was one of those installers, and I helped him. It never ceases to amaze me just how wealthy people at the top of "non profit" organizations are. 🤔
