Very interesting - as usual... Gotta love these old farm collections. I drove a 1958 Pontiac Starchief for a few months back in 1968. It had had an unfortunate encounter with a large tree directly head-on. It had pushed the front back just enough to make it look cross-eyed. Still ran strong. Those 370 cubic-inch V-8s were strong. That would be a great 1950s cruiser for somebody who loved to work on old cars... I would love to have a shot at the 1936 Chevy truck, or the early Nash. Either would make a fantastic cruiser... Keep up the good work, you are really good at it...

That first truck is not turned over. If the guy was 96 he came from a time, especially for rural farmers, where you drove the farm truck when you needed a truck, and you went to town only when you needed to. That thing would probably clean up like a time capsule. I don't know where you are at, but I would try to snag that at auction in a heartbeat. At 37:05 you walk past the tailgate for it. The 74 olds is pretty straight too. It for sure has the olds motor in it yet, and highly likely it is a 455. Worth more then scrap, even as a 4 door full size.

@@sykwookiee, if I had the money I'd sure love to try to restore it. But, time is not my friend as I am approaching 80 years old and seeing things like this only disturbs me because those of us that still appreciate the rare beauty of classic vehicles are leaving the scene far too quickly. When the "chop it up and rat rod lovers" have destroyed everything they can and have themselves left the scene, what have they left for others? Just a pile of junk that's not even recognizable as what it was but could have still been.

@@richardcline1337 We all die and all cars eventually go to the junkyard, be they fully restored, rat-rodded, or demo-derbied. I used to feel like you but as I get old I realize that none of it really matters - people can do whatever they want with their own vehicle; rat-rodding it gives it more life and is much more affordable for us po' folks than a full restoration that usually ends up costing way more than you can sell the vehicle for. I remember guys spending $75-100K to restore their 4-door Edsels, and when they went into the rest homes, they could only get $15-20K for them.
