In America we call it a rotation of the coffin bone. The bone is shaped just like the hoof. It is located right under the frog. My 41 year old quarter horse had an exposed coffin bone because his sole had gotten to thin. I keep it bandage for 6 months to keep infection out. He was doing good from that but he got down from arthritis the day after Christmas 2022 and with all our might we could not get him up, so I put him down and miss him every day. No hoof no horse. Why did you have to put him down because he couldn’t stand up? I’m not familiar with how horses are. Is it because he can’t run anymore? Couldn’t he still eat?
@@GodBlessGodBless1227 He had arthritis and when he got down we 3 people tried to get him up but he couldn't stand anymore. He was 41 and half yrs old, which is not heard of very often. I raised him from birth off of my mare. So I had him all of his life. When a horse is down his body will start to shut down. We turned him over and over but he was old and tired.
I am not sure about protein but a high sugar diet causes inflammation. It would be hard for a horse to get too much protein unless it was getting grain and pellets which is also high in sugar .
