I received a tempting offer from Oracle India, but with the current recession and talks of layoffs, I'm torn. I've been in front-end development for 9 years, currently at 20 LPA. The new offer is 35 LPA, but I'm nervous about transitioning to a product company like Oracle and uncertain about my skills fitting in. Any advice or experiences to share? Would love some guidance on whether I should make the switch or stay with the same service company..plz reply me
Congrats on getting a new offer ,If you are confident that you are skilled enough and also have a good network to get referrals then you can switch. I am too looking for a switch and I see lot of job posts daily. the companies hired people on high salaries and they knew they can get more skilled people for less money , in order to normalize they fired people and now hiring again. There are jobs in market , recession has affected mostly freshers as they are not eligible for jobs due to less experience which is not a problem for you. Best of luck

I’ve seen so many podcasts and interviews of software engineers and data analysts cracking 40+ LPA packages. Does it mean that non-IT guys are all jobless and earning peanuts? You guys are actually making people believe that there is scope only in IT sector whereas Non-IT guy’s life is miserable. Do make some videos for non-tech background as well.
