Yes it happens. My cousin did this to me. We were sleeping in a room even my mum was there. He was touching my thighs. I ignored at first. He thought i was sleeping he did again and then a got up and told him loudly to keep his hands under control and my mum get up. And later i even told my mum about the whole incident. So people it really happens. Be aware and alert. And stand up and speak for yourself.

I was sexually abused by my uncle. That person is the son of my grandma's sister. His other brother also tried to do such things with me but I didnt let him do coz I felt like something was wrong. It all happened in my childhood. It was very confusing for me. My family members also have some kind of orthodox thinking when it comes to clothes etc. They would never allow me to like even meet a boy. Even if he is just a friend. They are more concerned about society. I am grateful to my parents for the fact that they want me to become financially independent. But their mentality about some stuffs doesnt have any logic. I mean, they put so much of so called effort to protect me. But they dont realise that they are making me weak by doing so. I have social anxiety. And I feel like this is bcoz of the fact that i rarely go outside as they dont want me go outside ( even in the times when covid was not there). Once I was with a guy outside my home. He was just a frnd of mine. One of my bhaiya saw me with him and complained about it to my parents. And after that, they were being angry as if i have committed some kind of crime. They were beating me. And after all the lecture they gave me about society and what will people think and all, they could still give me that vague statement that they dont care about what society thinks..like really? You recently told all the stuffs like what will people think nd now ur telling this ? My mother abused me and used the r***i word for me just coz i had a bf nd coz a stalker called me and said cheap things about me. They are ready to provide me with facilities so that I can continue my studies in a proper way. But I think they should also try to understand what I feel and should sometimes value or even try to understand some of my opinions.

I am really sorry that all of this happened to you. None of this was ever your fault. It is your basic human right to be able to go outside and make friends. Some parents put so much pressure on their kids due to societal pressure but fail to understand what Is happening under their own roof.

Didi, I agreed with you. Please parents give strength to your child to tell her openly about what she is going through. My parents never told me that they will bad touches and never given me awareness about those things. But my friends protected me from my so called brother in the family. It might seem really bad where you can't be safe in your home then u can't be safe in this stupid world. Even now I have no dare to tell my parent that my brother misbehaved with me. Girls, my advice is never drink so much and be cautious about everyone. You're only one who can protect yourself. Please never trust anyone and never reveal all your secrets to anyone. Be cautious and be safe in this world.

Hi Prachi, according to my experiences parents need more awareness about these things when their children are growing up. Our so called modern Indian society is like, tell us if you have faced any sexual molestation and when child speaks up (Hesitatdly) then parents say don't need to say anything to anyone or don't need to spread awareness or else their image would be demolished. How it would be possible for that child to be open up in front of them.

Prachi di hi. I am 19 years old girl. I am stuck in a very toxic family. My mother cheated on my father 5 years ago. She was not happy with my father. My father is very narcissistic in nature. I have not seen any love between my father and mother since childhood. This made my mother more hungry for emotional need and eventually she cheated on him which was quite a bad step I believe because she is not even financially independent. Now they fight every day with each other. They are not moving on. I have just literally lost respect for my parents. I just hate them badly. This is making me depressed everyday. They are very closed minded people. I hate my mother too she is not understanding what consequences can occur because of her actions. My father always blame me that this all has happened because of me. Help me.🙏

These kind of people don’t need to get married they need therapy. N gurl u need to move out . If they are close minded it will be like a slap on face. If you don’t have funds u can ask family for enough money so u can rent a pg . Start working at a call canter, they are still hiring. Anything is better than the current place u r in . Or if u can move in with ur grandparents. U didn’t mentioned if you have any siblings. This is the time you rebel . They are not going to move on . N you know that.

I feel.. You should focus on ur studies and try to ignore them at least until u are a graduate.. U can spend time with ur good frnds to get rid of all those negative thoughts.. I know ignoring them is difficult being in the same house.. But i feel u need to complete ur education first.. N later you can work and live separately or just talk to them about the negative impact they put on you.. But dont live on ur own atleast for now is what i feel.. If u have any close trustworthy relatives like ur grandparents, etc then u can think of living with them.. But till then just try to ignore them.. At times u can show them how u feel... Maybe at some point they'll realise.. If now u will be independent after few years😊.. Best regards❤️

Find a college and move out. If you're already doing some course then study for any entrances for colleges available in other cities, if you do get in then drop out of your current college and move on. Its never going to get better. Cut contact completely. If they dont agree, fight for your right. Your dad blames you for the problems anyway. At the same time when you do move out, you'll have so much freedom and it's important to remain responsible. All the best!

I don't think your mother is wrong anywhere here. She was unhappy in the marriage n as you said your dad is not a good person either. Just coz she is a mother does not make her any less human!! She has a right to live her life her terms.and you're no kid.. you're 19, move out of your house for college/job purpose if your family environment is bothering you, in case they are ready to support you financially if you're in college

I was molested by an uncle, for over 4 years and it started when I was just 12 years old. Unfortunately, my family had decided to send me at his house. I didn't even know what was happening. I never thought, something of this sort would happen to me. When I opened up about this to my aunt. There were a lot of fights between them. Then I informed everything to my mother. But my grandfather, he said just be there, it's for your education. I was tormented so much. I lost trust in everyone around me. Finally, when I talked about it in school. No one did anything except sympathize. And my family blamed my clothes and my behaviour for this. It's been over 3 years but it still haunts me. My grandmother and aunts told me. When he takes advantage of you, don't let him. But I was so small, I couldn't help but freeze. Nothing was reported to the police. My family members told me, if I talk about it outside the family. They'll kick me out and disown me. I hate my family a lot for this. Prachi Di I hope you come across my comment. I pray all the girls out there, have supportive family members. I hope, no one ever goes through, the hell I went through.

U k it story is so much similar to mine ..so this happened when I was just 4years old he touched my chest he is my jiju so I was really small at that time I couldn't understand that but each time I went to thier house he used to touch my chest as I told you I was small I was just had becamr 6by now and now we didn't visited them for years because of some family issues and I had also forgotten this thing I thought that maybe it was just a misunderstanding but when I was in class 8 or9 I don't remember exactly it was new year me and my muma had visited them I touched his feet and then went to the room and was watching TV he came into the room after sometime and startrd clicking my pictures till now he had touched me my Di came in and said that my Nani was calling everyone for lunch and then she went and as I was on the bed so as I got up to leave the room and had reached the door this man pulled me and he started touching them again by now I was aware of what he was doing I tried to remove his hands and then he just held me with firm and his another hand went inside my shirt I was frozen I pinched him and then I realized that I was his sex toy all those years and then I just ran outside where everyone was there and that day as soon I reached home I told my papa about all this and the next day he called him alone and made him do sit-ups but u k what he still sees me those eyes and I k that I can feel so dear when ever he visits u just try not to be alone in a room try to be always with someone elder keep a paper spray with u whenever u feel he is coming to u and the best thing u can do is whenever like whenever he tries to touch u the next time just make sure u scream so loudly that everyone comes ... Thank fully I am not alone in this world who has gone though shit shoe him that u r not his sex toy

Well am a 17 year old and tbh it happened with me too not only once not only twice but 3-4 times. I have suffered. First when I was in class 2nd. And recently was when my grandfather expired and my Papa's Mamu Molested Me. He Was Trying To Press My Breast Almost He Pressed While I was sleeping and watching tv. The reason being, it's watched by those who don't agree with my thoughts. Prachi Di. My younger sister who passed away last year and I, we were molested by my Taekwondo teacher when I was 17 and my sister was 11 years old. I didn't tell my parents about it as I was too scared and didn't know what to do. I told my best friend and she asked me to quit the classes which I did. Now when I'm 19 and my sister is no more, I feel very guilty of not doing and saving her from him now and this is bothering me so much. I don't have anyone to talk about this, I can't tell my parents cause they're already depressed and I don't want to give them pain. Spirituality never says that a spirit can posses you, There are negative and positive energies but they can get inside your body. Scientifically, negative and positive energies exsist they change from one form to other but can they get inside your body. For people who believe in horoscopes donot see the zodiac sign and randomly listen to any of the one, you will feel that all this is what you need. Please, please donot follow such things. Spirituality and Religion are very very different. If a person is actually spiritual you will get good vibes, u will be happy around him/her but even the one deeply into mediation can tell u things about ur life or such stuff coz Spirituality can never be explained it can only be experienced. :)

It's outrageous that your college won't allow pepper spray. Make your own pepper spray and store it in a spray rose water bottle. If anybody asks, tell them it's rose water, which you need because your skin gets red in the sun and you get a severe allergy.

Actually asi mentioned I have a younger brother...we don't have mumma..she passed when I was 6 th standard...after that I take care of his studies...when mumma passed he was 1st standard...and when I used to teach him he used to listen to me...but gradually he started hating studies to some other level..and would say I will leave s hook and work as a mechanic...and all that kind of things..first we tried to force him to study. .. later we nicely pacified him..and told him the pros and cons of studying and doing labour ...now he goes to 7 th std..and he is getting worse day by day...plz help

Hi i am 11 year old and i have 13 year old sister my mom and dad have a love marriage after i was born they start fighting at little things like why did u wash my white shirt with purple shirt and when i was 9 my mom starting irritating fights but i didn't say anything because both were right because they have points on the things they say to each other then she start using messenger on facebook sheet a guy and talk to him he was a full pervert and i want to stop it because from the beginning i knew that he is trying to use my mother but after 3 months i saw a message and i was shock my mom was cheating on my dad i was a child with no sense so i was in a big shock so in shock i told my dad that my mother was cheating on him then fights for 7 hours not lying and my mom stopped talking to him for two years and after that we shift and my mom again start talking to other guys after that my father himself knew about that after 3 days and told mom to give divorced to her my dad was not thinking clearly and my mom decided to go to that guy house to see his parents by lying to us that she's going to met her sister from delhi rhan after she came back after 12 days to sign divorce papers after signing them she was going there again and there was flight after half in hour my dad have to stop her so he called my mama and Nana and told them everything and mom didn't listen to them and go there and its two months i don't know how to tell her to come back i said that my female dog is pregnant and asked her to come back but she said ok beta and nothing else i don't know what to do plz tell

I never condone behaviour like rape. But the issue of rape need to address upon. I have a wild preposition to address this issue of rape. Why can't we legalise prostitution and normalise it. It seems frustration need to be channeled in some way. Open to healthy conversation and other options.
