Former midfielder Robert Pires discusses his relationship with the boss before, during and after his time at the club.
A modern great, Robert was an instrumental part of the Club’s success during the 2000s and one of the major creative forces behind the ‘Invincibles’ campaign of 2003/4.
During his six years with the Club, Robert won three FA Cups and two Premier League titles, scoring 84 goals in 284 appearances. To further endear himself to the Gunners faithful, he scored eight times in 12 games against Tottenham and was never on the losing side in a local derby.
