The era of Arsenal/Man Utd between about 1997/2006 was absolutely the PL golden age for me and I'm a neutral. The intensity and quality of the head to head matches definitely lived up to the hype, and usually decided the league. 2003 when Arsenal looked like nailing it but threw it away is a shame. That would've given them 3 titles on the bounce, and they definitely merited that sort of record.
This France 2000 was certainly one of the most mythic Euros teams with Zidane, Henry, Djorkaeff, Lizarazu, Deschamps, Vieira, Desailly, Blanc, Thuram.... And with Anelka, Pires, Trezeguet, Wiltord, Candela... on the bench. Mental !
This guy banged in 15 prem goals from midfield and how many assists for 3 seasons straight in his prime 02-05. The genesis of the inverted winger in the Prem era. What a baller.
Lol he was not uNdErRaTeD at all. Another stupid comment made by someone who wasn't t alive to watch him rip apart the premier league with Henry and co. Just because your stupid friends or young kids don't talk about him that does not make him uNdErRaTeD. What's next? Glen Hoddle is uNdErRaTeD?
Rio is one of the best hosts in football right now. He ask questions like a fan and very humble yet he was such a big player himself. If he decides to be a coach I'm sure he will be a great coach.
Ronaldo was a more talented/natural dribbler. Henry took time to develop, which people don't jive with as much I think. But the level Henry reached between 02-06 was absurd. Had all the physical traits, dribbling, flair, playmaking, free-kicks. Everything.
In those years, he never dominated Henry; he was injury-prone and overweight. Henry won golden boots with fewer star players compared to Real Madrid's. He carried Arsenal and France to UCL and World Cup finals.
Trezeguet’s goal will always be 1 of the best goals in the Euro competitions, the turn, power, precision & on his left foot too jheezzz top quality finish
ARSENAL & MAN UTD now they were the PROPER rivals the best Prem era bar none when these 2 were at it for 7 years legendary battles from Arsene & Sir Alex down but there was always a hidden respect for each other
Magnificent player a Arsenal great I remember his first season at Arsenal people was writing him off but he show anyone and became a arsenal great one of my favs
I remember watchn the final...I supported France, Italy led 1-0, my grandmother kept shouting to me to go to sleep, I didn't want to, but then after a while I had to & went to sleep....Missed the whole thing... Thanks grandma! :D
Trzeguet, what a player, what a goalscorer he was. If you had just one shot to win a game, just pass it to Trezeguet. Not a fan, but i give him his probs.
There were players way before him that were diving. Klinsmann came to England in 1994 and would celebrate goals with a dive to poke fun at people who said he was diving.
You calling him one the best wingers in the premier League and then calling him uNdErRaTeD in another? You realize how contracting yourself you are? Put some respect in bobby's name. He was never uNdErRaTeD
I love how he is not thinking about Portugal. He doesn’t have a clue about what’s coming. Best squad we ever had. Ok, Cristiano is not a fraction of what he used to be and that has a lot of weight, but the rest of the team? Options and more options and all of great caliber.
Im so glad Pires said this. For years, Henry has somewhat damaged his reputation by praising these new school greats and belittling himself in the process. Yea CR7 and messi have unprecedented scoring records and all but Henry delivered in his era. He gave what was demanded + more . I cant list a top 5 all time without him. He was that Good. He controlled games like messi, defence splitting passes, one man counters, skills, everything. How have people forgotten ? 😂 This man went to Santiago and mocked madrid, juve, villareal and was super close to beating a star studded barca team in the final .. months after losing Vieira . You should see his post match UCL final interview. Dinho wowed us but Henry was the better player imo
03:32 Robert “in 2000 at that moment he (Desailly) used to play in Italy” WRONG 😑 ❌ Marcel left AC Milan after World Cup 98 & joined Chelsea (98-04) get your facts right mate otherwise it’ll look like you just making up stories like majority of you media 💩
Just like Neville saying he spoke to schmichael and Irwin in the changing room during the Highbury tunnel incident. Neither of those were at the club at the time
It bothers me a bit when I hear these sort of things because I have rainman memory but all ex pro footballers will do that because they've played so many games which I suppose is different to just watching them all and obsessing over it and even looking up things regularly to refresh your memory even more where as these footballers have more things going on to get all the minor details right.
Jesus Christ. You can't even quote properly, then you attack the man for the words you put in his mouth. "He used to play in Italy and Italy in 2000 I think it was the best league in Europe."
