This game is really interesting in that it takes what everyone is constantly doing on autopilot, and puts it frontstage in the spotlight, making it seem really awkward and mean. We're constantly surveying people around us and determining if we find them physically attractive or not, even if it's usually sub-conscious. It's pretty rare for people to actively pursue a relationship with someone they aren't physically attracted to, and for most people, there are going to be a lot more people you aren't attracted to than people you are. In the context of this game, it seems like a dick move to reject people you aren't attracted to, because it's put on full display and seems shallow. And perhaps it is. But I think maybe that's just natural, and we're all a little bit shallow in some ways, even if we don't want to admit it. But what would be better? Acknowledging this, and finding someone you are actually attracted to, or trying to deny it and make a relationship work when you don't find them all that attractive, only to risk really hurting them down the line because there isn't enough of a connection? I think the former is probably better.
