Growing up in the sixties and seventies we were inordinately lucky to have been blessed with the best music. We may never see a period like this again, but at least we have it documented to enjoy when and wherever we please. I love that the younger generations gravitate to real music!
"REAL MUSIC" is the big difference. Requires REAL TALENTS. Yes, we were the luckiest when it comes to Music, Cars, TV Shows, MINI Skirts, HOT PANTS Price for Rock Concerts, Price of Gas (28 cents per Gal) Parties everywhere.... and much more.
SO GRATEFUL BUT SO SAD FOR YOUNG ONES TODAY, THERE SOCIALNESS OF THEM SELF WILL NEVER BE EXPLOYED WITH THERE OWN ONES SELF OF FIGURING IT FOR THEMSELF. BELIEVE ALL THATS FAKE ON THIS TIC TOC.
has been my all time favorite album since I first heard it - late 1970's -had as an album, a cassette and a CD- now on my playlist Georgia is one of my all times favorites- do yourself a favor and go see him in concert-- last time I saw him was 2019 and his shows never disappoint
The Christmas in Georgia's eyes turned the moonlight into searchlights, Busted! this is one of the Hottest album of the 70, he's almost 80 and jamin tonite!!
Boz is one of those artists who sound the same or better live ! He still tours, you tube his live performances, you won’t be disappointed, always the best musicians and backup singers !
I have been so lucky to have seen BOZ Live 3 times. I took my girlfriend to see BOZ at the Hollywood Bowl. She LOVED HIM. The very next night I took my 14 year old sister Kathy to see the same show. She cried when he did "We're All Alone". Both shows were awesome. There was a 14 piece band with horns and strings creating the magical sounds this artist makes. William Royce "Boz" Scaggs is someone special indeed.
Nice analysis. "Silk Degrees" is packed and Boz is so underrated. Terrific and timeless music. So glad you're in the Boz groove. Check out his work with Dukes of September with Donald Fagen (Steely Dan) and Michael McDonald (Doobie Bros.)
In an interview Boz said of all the instruments in his music he considers his voice is most important to get perfect and concentrate on being in proper key for the song. I'd say he does a damn good job at that. Such a unique voice.
David hungate, the guy that played bass on this, was a product of a University in Denton Texas just North of you right now ha ha...same uni produced Ron Tutt, who drummed with Elvis and many others, plus Dean Parks, who played on almost 1000 records, including several Steely Dan ones...Texas aint just country haha...have fun, my wife and i went to the big D for our honeymoon and it was great!
So glad you got into Boz Scaggs JM, Silk Degrees is a long time favourite, it was rarely off the turn table when it was first released and I've rediscovered it several times over the years. A true vocal and musical masterpiece of a recording with no duff tracks, loving your reactions.
"PALM SPRINGS" T-Shirt.... Been there many times out in the desert of So Cal. Great place to Party, lot of Bars and the cops are cool too. The place just got FLOODED BAD. Very wealthy town so it will be cleaned up fast.
He's awesome? No, you're awesome, we're all awesome! :) So glad you checked this out. Silk Degrees is so good. Not one skippable song on it. Love Me Tomorrow, Jump Street, What do you want the girl to do, Harbor Lights, We're all alone...dang, you still have some to get through lol! Harbor Lights is a different vibe but so so good still. Do that one if you want to chill with one next. Otherwise, any of the other songs from the album. Love your reactions.
The songs from his "Some Change' Album are amazing - LOST IT, I'LL BE THE ONE, SIERRA CALL ME, I'LL FOLLOW THAT MAN, and TIME is smooth as silk and soulful. If you are getting into Boz, these are killer tunes.
Every time you react to one I've been hoping for I get all excited, yay! This lonely convict full of longing for his love has always been so dear to my heart. Only Boz can do this to me🎶💫
Very true reaction! IMHO Silk Degrees is one of the best albums of all time. All the songs are 🔥. Not an album cut or filler among them. Try Harbor Lights, next. For me personally it’s a top 5 album of mine. I don’t sort the top 5 it’s a disservice to their greatness. Just enjoy them all. ETA: In honor of the three members of the band and Boz’ co-writer who went on to form Toto; Africa and Rosanna.
@@eviekelpie1 the 3 band mates on Silk Degrees were; Jeff Porcaro, David Hungate and David Paich. Paich co-wrote the songs with Boz. On the other end of this musical journey. Boz came from the Steve Miller Band (Joker) and it was Steve who taught Boz how to play guitar. So many connections!
@@jbs256 Wow! I'm in awe! Such amazing talent. I never knew all the background stuff, so thanks very much. Now I'm eager to see if I can find a RU-vid video on the " making of"...
Superb album which I bought at 15 and still have! Harbour lights ( or Harbor for you guys) is beautiful. Also, We're all alone, from Silk Degrees. I love your reactions. You don't muck around. Enjoy your motel stay. Looks nice and neat. Cheers from Susana, NSW Australia
Please check out Boz 's Moments Album with the song Downright Woman, Harbor Lights and Moments. Painted Bells is awesome too. My second favorite Album next to Silk Degrees. But if you do Downright Woman, you'll be the first to do it!!,😊
you are my absolute favourite channel, and i feel you are VERY under-appreciated. everything is such a class act, and always very professional. a lot of your choices are eclectic and iconic, not just the run-of the -mill. keep on doing what you do - you are perfect. with appreciation and gratitude from a very old canadian boomer
I totally agree with you. No swearing, smoking joints, laughing at the fashion, or just talking for the sake of saying something.... Greetings from NSW Australia...young Boomer here, 61😁
I've been watching "Reactors" for over 4 years. I collect the best ones. I discovered JMBOY on Jan 12th...He was doing Led Zeppelin - "Since I've Been Loving You". He did a great analysis so I subscribed. He had only 39 videos and 496 Subscribers. He did my first suggestion Jan 14th.. #41 and 562 subs that day. He is by far the Best Classic Rock" Reactor on YT. Check out his Playlist for artist/songs
"Georgia" I swear I've never seen such a smile Gorgeous enough To make an angels heart run wild Your lazy eyes and small town lies Have got me in your spell Your drive-in boys and backseat noises Oh you learned so well Oh-oh-oh So how was I to know You got me you got me... by now Georgia Your daddy was high The night he dreamed of you Georgia the stars were flying The night that you came through Christmas in your eyes Oh what a nice surprise Oh-oh-oh And now I miss you so But baby I'm comin' back to you Georgia We will be together dear If they ever let me out of here They will say that its not true But I did it all for you Georgia Won't you tell them for me dear Georgia girl I never lived through a night like that Sure enough Got your loving where I like it at Moonlight through the pines Oh-oh-oh But how were we to know That wasn't moonlight They were searchlights Oh no Georgia We will be together dear If they ever let me out of here They will say that its not true But I did it all for you Georgia Won't you tell them for me dear Georgia We will be together dear Oh my dear If they ever let me out of here
Have you reacted to Paul McCartney and Wings? (Paul, former Beatles). I suggest, Live and let die,( Paul was asked to write the song for the James Bond movie of the same name) Also, Maybe I'm Amazed, official video, and.. Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five
