Al does crowd work early on in his set and finds out peoples names and occupations, has a laugh with them, and also calls back to them when he feels like later in the show, his memory is amazing.

When I first heard Al Murray out of character on a video podcast I was shocked. He is so well-spoken, polite, informed, and easy to listen to that I had to double check that it was the same person.

Peter Mayhew played the Wookie in Star Wars. He was actually a hospital porter in Croydon (England). He picked up my 200lb father in law as if he was a child. A lovely chap.

Great reaction as usual. I was 14 when the first moon landing happened and found it amazing, watching the videos on the news programmes in Britain. A fun fact reference Star Wars. The late actor who played Boba Fett,in the original films (Jeremy Bulloch) was the father-in-law of one of my nieces. Fact! ❤

Great reaction. FYI, do you know that when you speak, laugh, the video sound level drops and it's hard to hear it. Adjust the automatic sound level option in the software to fix that. Keep up the good work. Love you guys.

Don't know if you got the joke about 'Michael Collins played by Liam Neeson'. Michael Collins was also the name of one of the prominent Irish independence leaders of the early twentieth century and a prominent member of the IRA. There was a film about him in 1996 and Liam Neeson was cast as Michael Collins.

Al always talks to the first few rows in an audience, getting to know them and what they do, having laughs along the way . As the show moves on he includes the same audience members and jokes along with them. Being at one of his shows is such fun. He is about to tour again in September { i think.. Al was being interviewed about it a few weeks ago)

Hi Mike and Jess, the first part of Al's sets involve him interacting with the audience, finding out their names, jobs and hobbies/interests, he'll then bring up certain things about them in the rest of the show. He's actually from a very well connected family, and is related to the poet William Makepeace Thackeray, and former Prime Minister David Cameron. He wasn't lying about Buzz Aldrin, he had a sort of chat show at one stage, and one of his guests was Buzz Aldrin. The Michael Collins Al referenced was a different Michael Collins, a leader of the IRA in the 1920s, Liam Neeson played him on film. Next Al Murray set, "How Global Finance Really Works". Where you'll get to experience some of Al's accents.

Fantastic reaction guys and so funny. Yes, Al Murray a genius comedian as the pub landlord and he actually graduated in history and is a well known historian. One of his best comedy sketches is "Al Murrays take on the nations of the world." Or if you fancy a longer skit from Al, try his "How Global Finance Really Works" which is so funny. 🤣😂

Al Murrays career started off with him doing impressions of German fighter planes from WW2. Everything else grew from that. He also did a documentary/personal journey where he looked at the relationship between England and Germany mainly from the German perspective.

I was 10 watching the Apollo 11 mission in Ireland. (I'm in London now) I was completely awestruck at what Michael Collins did, being alone and not certain of getting back (I forget the possible scenarios if the Lunar Module failed on the Moon) He was and remains to this day my all time No. 1 hero, odd as that may sound. I couldn't believe they left him on his own! (BTW this was also the name of the hero of an Irish revolution in 1916 but he never stayed in Space on his own!) PLEASE react to Al Murray's piece : How Global Finance Really Works. Put cotton wool in your ears, and gen up on all the German WW11 aircraft of the time that I had some models of - Heinkel, Messerchmidt 109, Dornier, Focker Wolff etc I have to admit watching this again that All Jobs are Terrible ranks as a close No. 2 to Gobal Finance at No 1 for myself and many. Never followed Al Murray / The Pub Landlord at the time. Only through great You Tube reactions like this did I become a fan. Great channel with wonderful and appreciative and appreciated reactions; however you are now under the control of your commenters! 😆😊

Just for information: Al Murray, a few years ago, formed a six piece band called ‘Fat Cops’. He performs on drums and vocals. They issued a recording in 2019 and one of the tracks it entitled, ‘Hands up, get down’.

Al first part of his shows, is asking and talking to the audience, getting their names, occupations and that sort of thing, as you have seen, he is very clever with it. he does not just pick random, he goes through the ages, and both young and older, and men and women, and he then so clever, that he brings them in to his comedy, depending where its going, like this one one older people, who may remember the moon landing, he is a genius along with many british comedians, who do the story telling, not the one liners, al, billy connely, peter kay and so on, its all relateable as well, you watch it, and picture yourself being there

You should check out Al's extensive historical knowledge in a clip where he explains how the British have defeated every nation we fought(including the U.S 😁) Its hilarious. I was 10 when Star wars came out in UK cinemas and it blew my little socks off.😂 I'm with u Mike, Disney has ruined Star wars but if I'm being honest anything other than the original 3 I thought were 💩. Seems Jess has a bit of a fan club and I can't blame them as that laugh is utterly contagious.😂
