Correct, and he used to have a regular TV series on saturday night, with guests, but still with a segment as the Pub Landlord, but thanks to PC and woke, he moved to live theatre, and has massive support

Yep, saw him back in '99 and a friend helped out back stage. He told me afterwards that it was all non-alcoholic beer, but he did such a great job of playing the role, especially as I don't think he'd been on the telly yet at that point.

The first part of his shows he interacts with the first few rows of the audience, finding out their names, jobs, hobbies etc. Then incorporates them into the show, Steve in the audience had told Al he had been the keyboard player in a quite well known punk band. Although his charecter is a blue collar pub landlord, he is actually from a very elevated family, and is related to former Prime Minister David Cameron and poet William Makepeace Thackeray. He has a degree in modern history from Oxford University, and filmed a documentary on WW2, "From D-Day to Berlin" He also had a quasi chat show where his guests included Astronaut Buzz Aldrin. He developed the pub landlord into a sit-com charecter running a dingy run-down pub in London, titled "Time Gentlemen Please" (the shout every drinker dreads hearing). But his best work is in stand-up. Try "How Global Finance really Works", where you'll hear his accents from arounf the world.
Great reation guys👍Al's crowd work is awesome,he'll pick half a dozen people or so get their name and profession ond throughout the show will refer to them like 'Steve' in this one that Al found out played the piano,hence the can you play god save the Queen. I saw him in April and he did a 2hr set like this. Athor brilliant ones from him are- Countries of the world All jobs are terrible How global finance works The British have defeated every country at war There's loads with Al tbh you'll love him,cheers✌️
I know I’m not wrong having read a lot of these comments: I’ve watched a lot of Americans react to Al Murray and this clip which is far too short. Some don’t get him at all others are offended but NONE have laughed in the way that you two have! You get him and your response is not only genuine but uncontrollable… I’ve nothing to add to the other offerings suggested because every one’s a gem. I’ve so enjoyed your channel right from the off and hope to see much more.

One video I implore you to see is the Morecambe and Wise sketch with the famous American pianist, Andre Previn. It’s a long sketch but so, so funny, and it will give you an idea of the sort of things M & W get up to. M & W were like another Two Ronnies, but they were a partnership that started back in the 1960s, and during the 1970s and 1980s were generally pulling in around 28 million viewers for one of their Christmas shows. Please look this sketch up, I know you won’t be disappointed.
Al Murray, despite looking like a bar room brawler is as close to genius as most will come. He is an authority on historical matters. He appears to have a photographic memory and a marvellous method of delivering the English language in Murray like logic and a sense of the bizarre. Been to one of his shows - he's merciless should he focus his attention on you in the crowd. Can recommend anything he's presented as worthwhile listening if it's a serious documentary or if he's delivering a comedy show as the pub landlord.
Al Murray's character on stage is the pub landlord, hence the working bar. Al is a very funny and clever man, but you check out his stand up where he's talking about, 'all jobs are terrible'. Really hope to see you do more Al

His whole act for 30 years now has been the persona of a Pub Landlord and he used to be a drummer in band so knows his musical keys etc. He's a national treasure in the UK, a very intelligent comedian, you should react to his every country the UK has invaded video, also there's another comedian I think you'd appreciate called Stewart Lee, he's not quite like any comedians you've reacted to already, but he does very sharp, very intelligent comedy which I think you'd enjoy, look up his Braveheart skit, that's a good entry point.

Al Murray is playing his character The Pub Landlord (bar manager) in his show, he continually talks with the front rows and balconies throughout his show. Crowd involvement is a huge part of his show also the bar is motorised and he drives it around the stage at the start and end of his show.
That video that was coming on next 'batman and robin'only fools and horses, is an absolute classic 😂😂 Only fools is an iconic series back in the day. Some amazing comedy moments you should check out.

You haven’t truly experienced British comedy until you have watched Only fools and horses which popped up on screen at the end of that video. I’m sure lot of people would love you to watch all the fools and horses episodes from start to finish. It is the best, funniest and most loved comedy program ever made in the UK and is absolutely hilarious. The more episodes you watch the funnier they get, especially once you get to know the characters. You would certainly draw a lot of subscribers in if you watched these episodes in full. 🤞

As others have said, Al Murray is a great comedian, and is very intelligent with a degree in history. The Pub Landlord is his main character, and based on the average pub landlord who are generally very opinionated. If you can watch a few more of his videos, he is great. He always includes the audience in a very funny way in all his shows. Every Country the British have defeated is a good one too.....
I'm a Brit myself and we learn the lyrics to the national anthem but we don't learn how to play the song with instruments and the keys etc. Great reaction video next time up the volume on the video as it was too quiet for me.
Great fan of your channel. Just a small observation. For the first time when you speak while the video is running the volume of the video goes very quiet and difficult to hear. You are not alone. I have experience this on some other channels. Hope that’s of help.

Just ignore those who pretend to be " offended", and are really " virtue signalling" to their puppeteers who tell them what to think, and who wake up every day relishibg what they can pretend to be hurt about today. Us grown-ups can take the piss out of ourselves every day, so I guess we are the sensible ones, or actually happy in our own skins, and need no input from others who are not living OUR life.
