I went through a similar situation to the guy with the black uncle but much (MUCH) less embarrassing. I’m Latino and as a kid I went to a majority white elementary school. Kindergarten was the first time I was in close proximity to other kids my age who weren’t family. After like my 3rd or 4th day at school I noticed something peculiar about myself. I noticed my skin was noticeably a little darker than a lot of my classmates. I convinced myself that my skin looked the way it did because I was dirty so during my bath that evening I scrubbed myself extra hard and for a lot longer expecting I’d come out as white as Macaulay Culkin after toweling off. Needless to say that didn’t work.

Watching a lot of these cringe confessions has made me realize something. People, if you bring someone on a date and they don't realize it was one when you try to make a move, be forward with them. That's what causes so many issues. Also, if you have a crush on this person, you should likely already know how stupid they are and that they likely wouldn't pick up your clues.

13:00 I once got into a scrap in a laser tag place, but I was much older. The other team was older kids, they weren't really playing the game properly. Deliberately covering up the part of the vest that senses the laser, that kind of thing. Whatever, nobody's taking it too seriously. One of them gets hit but proceeds to walk through a bunch of us, pushing us out of the way. I push back, we square up, and he swings. He doesn't make good contact, but I was kind of stunned that he actually threw hands. The next thing I know one of the attendants is escorting him out. She must have been moving in when the altercation started because she was there the second he threw the punch. Anyway, I got a story out of it lol.

God, big promposals in front of people are so embarrassing. I always felt so bad for the person being asked. My junior year prom, I took a girl to Noodles and Company for lunch, told her I was gonna run to my car to get my jacket and came back with a small bouquet of flowers and asked her to go to prom with me. Worked great. Later that day, I'm in a class and 3 dudes burst in and start singing to a girl in the class and one of them asks her to prom. It was terrible and the face the girl made when it was happening still haunts me. Girl looked like she was being attacked. To anyone in high school, don't make a huge spectacle of asking someone to prom unless they've expressed to you that they love big promposals. Poor Overwatch guy got screwed though. If she felt pressured to say yes in the moment, she just should've told him privately later that she didn't actually want to go. Not waited 2 weeks lol

25:26 Tbh I feel like, while the guy WAS missing cues (he’s not super young, he’s in college; you still have learning to do about life but you shouldn’t be *completely* oblivious)… at the same time, his goal seemed to just be respectful. I feel like part of the difficulty many people have in dating is because they expect people to catch hints, or in some cases even read minds; but if you try to do so, you also risk being wrong and doing something you regret way worse. That whole “MUTUAL CONSENT” manga meme panel thing is kinda like a joke, but like, at the same time, isn’t that so much better than assuming intentions and making things way more uncomfortable if you assume incorrectly? So yeah, honestly the whole situation had multiple things right and wrong. The whole everything leading up to getting to her house seemed pretty good ways of dropping hints. The guy was dumb and didn’t catch them. But nor did he outright say “I find you hideous and would never want to do anything with you”, but that’s seemingly how she received it. So three things: 1. Her hint drops were actually fine, guy was just dumb 2. The guy DIDN’T assume intentions, which isn’t outright bad; in fact that’s encouraged. If he hadn’t been as oblivious then he probably should have just directly asked something like “are you saying you want to go-“ 3. While it may be hard to believe someone is so oblivious, you (in the girl’s position) shouldn’t completely rule out that your date is just not expecting your advance, or that they really ARE that oblivious, or even just that they’re trying to be nice and may have CAUGHT the hints but don’t want to assume what you’re saying. Again, the guy could’ve said something to clear it up better, but so to should the girl Open communication is key 👍

In Ontario Canada Catholic schools are publicly funded due to weird historical reasons and thus are pretty popular. They basically function as normal public schools but you have to take a religion class and go to mass.

So about the giant leg (no that person was not me, nor my old roommate), my old roommate was born with no muscle on the heel, so for the first few months of his life, they essentially had to stretch the skin from his upper achilles, almost to his calf down to the bottom of his foot. Because of this, his left leg was A LOT stronger than his right, and he walked most of his early years with most of his weight on his left. This got exaggerated to the point where, when I saw him wear shorts for the first time, I saw that his left calf was almost triple the size of his right. I flinched forward, and it felt like I was DK with my eyes bulging out of my head. When I asked him about it, he just with me with, "Oh yeah, I noticed that when I was in highschool." I asked again and he explained fully what happened. Let me also clarify that this man is three years older than me, and I was 21 at the time.
