I didn't read this comment, otherwise I would not bother writing the same. Exactly! People dive into boxing because they're boxed in. He is wise indeed!
At the hospital they found out he had a concussion, a fractured left cheekbone and a herniated disc….smart man. Takes a man to stand up against all those that told him to stay.
@@dustinalbers8160No, this is absolutely different The level gap between Tyson and this guy is ridiculous it’s insane for him to be up in the ring with him in the first place. He would have quite literally “Died” It would’ve also been pointless, there’s a certain part where you have to say “Yeah this ain’t my time”
His coach never understand what this man felt until he found medical records from hospital.. He was really serious injured from this fight. He save his own life.
@@skepchica Read the history bro, this is I copied from Wikipedia: The fans who attended the fight were angry and pelted Golota with garbage as he retreated to the dressing room. It was eventually discovered that Golota was suffering multiple injuries that influenced his decision not to continue. At the hospital, it was discovered that Golota had suffered a concussion, a fractured left cheekbone and a herniated disc during the fight. Golota left boxing for almost three years before returning on August 14, 2003.
@@andiashadisalam583 I asked was he really injured because he's also the same guy that launched a full scale attack on Riddick Bowes family jewels while he was actually winning the fight. Twice. Well-- headbutting is no joke.
Ngl some of the worst training and corner men I ever seen, I remember it thinking these actually don't give a f if this man gets seriously hurt and doesn't go home tonight.
Effectivement il suffit de regarder l état du boxer gerald maclalen il a terminer sa vie comme un legume ,,, tout ça à cause de la fierté et de la gloire La vie n'a pas de prix Respect a ces 2 légendes de la boxe
He's also a dangerous man, as long as there are no rules. The 2nd reason I'd never fight my father. The first being he's a good man. No such thing as a fair fight in the streets. Lol. I respect the walk off though. No glory in death if it's borderline suicidal.
He didn't quit at all, he stood up immediately and walked out ON HIS BOTH LEGS without showing you a sign that he was close to a permanently damaged brain. He didn't quit, he saved his life. There's no shame at all to quit against Mike Tyson.
Он Крыса, бившая специально многих оппонентов за бой по несколько раз ниже пояса, смотря как они корчатся от боли... Он Крыса, трусливая и никто то нëм не вспомнит. Только как о Трусливой Крысе.
That man saved his own Life. After the second knockdown he felt something was wrong and he was right, the hospital caught it early. Wisdom is when you understand there's another day.
You want to fight a gladiator in modern times, this is what u get, what did u expect to get? This man lost everything, time and time. money, family. he lost everything. He got nothing to lose anymore in that time. God bless him. A true warrior.
The man was still a warrior & even more so to know his limits --- even though injured, he saved himself further injury whereas he could have ended in a vegetative state -- permanent brain damage or even death...wa very smart man indeed...God Bless you, Sir...
No shame in defeat. Man was willing to accept he was bested and keep what dignity he had. Much respect to someone who is firm in his decision despite the pressure from everyone else.
And then he wrecked his head. He broke his orbital bone, gave him a herniated disk in his cervical spine, and broke his jaw before he threw in the towel. Can't blame the man and he would have been hurt had he not done so.
@@alessiolopes1474it turns out he was badly injured. Had the fight continued, he would have suffered brain damage and perhaps death. A wise fighter lives to fight another day.
People want to call him a quitter but probably one of the smartest opponents he's fought. Other fighters over here with brain damage reduced to playing with Legos. At least he gets to live a normal life.
here’s how to refute the trinity in less than 30 seconds so the father, son, and holy spirit are each 100% god that means they should each have 100% of the attributes of god, does this mean jesus is independent of god the father or dependant on god the father? if he's independent of god the father, that's 2 ultimate independent existences meaning 2 gods, if jesus is dependant on god the father he cannot be 100% god as god is 100% independent and we have numerous verses saying jesus is dependant on god the father For example, in John 5:30, Jesus says, "I can do nothing on my own will. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me", John 14:28: "You heard that I said to you, I am going and will come to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I", John 5:19: "So Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of himself, except what he sees the Father doing; for whatever he does, so does the Son", John 6:38: "For I did not come down from heaven to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me- doctrin of trinity is that the father, the son, and the holy spirit are co equal and co eternal, but here this verse is going directly against that, the father is greater than I can only mean one thing. jesus was limited in his knowledge, the father wasnt, jesus was limited in his strength and will (cup luke 22:42) the father was not
@@lifeonearth5321 because continuing with concussion would give you brain damage, and with a herniated disc in his neck, possible paralysis. Also his cheek bone, which forms part of your eye socket, was broken as well. Had he continued, it's very likely he would have died in the ring.
I was very young at that time, me and my dad did a night out to watch this match as we were not sure at what time Mike's match will start. The other guy looked stronger and had 0 or max 1 loss. First round both boxers just tested out each other , ko happened in 2nd or 3rd round, I was disappointed as the match ended so early. But that guy knew that he could not continue, he took the right decision.
@@user-mc6qh2su5z You come across as a reasonable guy, but everyone agrees with it being a smart decision. The few are the ones saying he should've stayed. Go through the comments. All but a troll here and there,
@@rubend9391 sure, but when I speak, I speak in general here and there. But you know what, you are what you look for. It's good to see positivity prevailing. Stay that way 👍
Even I felt that punch. All the people trying to disgrace someone who knew he would literally die if he kept himself in the fight, are in fact disgracing themselves. It took guts to face Tyson at that time and he really did a smart move by walking out when he did
Yes it did anyone watching the spines fight can tell you that the look on stinks face was pure fear he wanted nothing to do with that fight. But credit to him he got in the ring and was smart enough to stay down soon as the first decent shot made contact 90 or so seconds in lol
Crazy in 2024 we still have followers and people pleasing. So many times the crowd has been wrong. Too many to count. I never care about a group mentality
There would have been a lot less deaths, brain damage.if past boxers had done the exact same move.some of these corner men,if boxer wants out for some reason or other,he wants out.
I remember watching this. We all thought it was dude just taking the fall. They had mike portrayed as being this horrible human back in the day. His management did help the situation cuz it made him money. Thank god he lived long enough to let us know who he really is. (We loved mike. They just made you feel like it was rooting for the villain tho) Mike's the peoples champ. Tru 🐐
He was a warrior just to stand back up, that man knew his brains were scrambled, and he didn’t want to get permanent brain damage, I say again it was a miracle that he got up on his feet after that punch
Tyson broke him, he knew he broke him, and golatas trainer called him a disgrace for retiring, no shame in quitting for your health, golatas trainer was the disgraceful one here,
Dude.... here is the actual TRUTH. This fight was after those Bowe fights and after Tyson had already been Holyfielded. These were BOTH SHELLS of themselves and young fellas make me wanna piss acid. They were both done by then.
Much respect for one he stood up in the ring with one if not thee most iconic boxers of all time but yet was smart enough to walk away before there was permanent damage to his self my lids off to him most definitely
Tyson was full of juice. I'm going to tell you a secret. After ALI STOP fighting the boxing business was slowly dying and Larry homes wasn't enough and sugar ray Leonard was old, we had no one to make money, so Tyson was allowed to take the most powerful performance enhancement drugs in the WORLD and the rest is HISTORY. Tyson was setup by Don king so he could take control of Mike's 400 plus millions of dollars. Maybe Tyson was great maybe Tyson wasn't. WE know that when Tyson was clean he lost to Lewis and Holyfield and the world will never know if Tyson was great or not, because of DON (the crook ) king.
@DesertPine003 tf are you talking about? No they did NOT "intentionally " match him against bigger opponents just for show. Mike fought through the ranks like every other boxer, attained the HW championship (the youngest to do so) defended, just like any other champ and fought the top contenders, some being former champs themselves. You telling me Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, Razor Ruddock were not good boxers when they won championships. GTFO casual 🤡
Bigger doesn't mean you have the skills to hold your own against someone who has better genetics and better skills. Genetics and superior skills matter a lot more than bigger sizes. Remember that in boxing, you have to be able to take a beating and keep on fighting if it comes down to that. You give a beating, and sometimes you take a beating. The genetics will allow you to take a brutal beating while you keep on fighting, and maybe even you can recover and win the fight in the end.
@@hasn666”he won’t be laughing Friday” he meant that literally, bro fractured his jaw bone and gave him a concussion from one punch. after this fight he can barely speak properly again.
Damn, it was literally written on his face: “ you are not the one’s actually fighting against him, I am, so don’t tell me wtf to do”. Wise man, absolutely nothing to be ashamed of
Those guys in his corner only think about the money, they didn't care about how brutal Mike hit him. They promised him loudly, that he is going to beat Mike Tyson 😮 he is smart to walk away from danger. Bless him.
The man fought a beast got his face actually broken He could've died He got a concussion and a broken chick bone (usually people faint from that) He acknowledged he lost and left like a real man You win some and you lose some He's not a quitter He is an honest MAN Tyson is a the goat The fact that he didn't get ko'd by him is enough to prove he is tough as nails
I box here and there, but no professional, and have studied Tyson's boxing style. He puts every ounce of body weight he can, into his fist right before it makes contact with his opponents face that's about to be rearranged! He uses the advantage of his shorter stature and his super dense body weight and gets in close. So close you can't get away. He's also fast, really fast. It's amazing to see in person. I can't mimic it and if you can, your a bad mofo.... No matter your size.
Bro look up all his injuries from that fight. It wasn’t just his eye socket that was messed up. He had a herniated disk in his neck and some other stuff as well
It takes a real man to acknowledge you are beaten and leave with dignity before you get permanent, or potentially lethal, damage. Respect a warrior for knowing what needs to be done.
It turned out that Golota had his jaw broken, a damaged vertebrae, and something else hurt when a doctor examined him after the fight. He would have been seriously hurt if he tried to continue and was right to say he wouldn't go on. He knew something was wrong with his jaw and cervical spine after Tyson broke them. Mike was something else. Now he is one of the coolest guys to listen to. He has seen a lot of changes.
@@gregholmes5089 xDDDDD go put your Tin foil hat back on ur recieving CIA messages in your teeth again The man suffered some real damage before he threw the fight, go check all that Tyson did to him just with that 1 bomb to the head
Nah he actually gave him concussion cracked cheek and a herniated disc so Mike was actually on his way to becoming an actual killer dude knew he was putting his actual life on the line it wasn't a fight anymore
This literally makes no sense. Mike Tyson is a name that means nothing until this guy. He’s literally the reason why Mike Tyson means something not the other way ahead around. I guess that’s why you’re Ovid Hughes????
@@skepchicawhat does that have to do with anything him testing positive for weed also if he did that wouldn't give him any advantage if anything It would give a disadvantage
Hit his ass hard😂😂😂 Golata shouldn't have laughed when Mike told him he was very serious. Golata took the hardest punch that Mike ever landed that didn't result in an instant KO but he sure got the hell outta that ring quick enough 😂😂😂
