@@guitar4254 your body CANNOT recover from that workload, no matter who u are. I do actually (for reference) follow MMA quite close, and the workouts those guys do are grueling, and they're not even 1/5th of these numbers. Anyways, that's not what this was about. Clearly AI. ;)
The GOAT 5’10” & 220 pounds (100 Kilograms) 45 min run 2000 squats 250 sit-ups 500 tricep extensions 500 pushups 500 shrugs with weight 500 neck crunches 20 full rounds in the ring Supplemented with other aerobic exercises like jumping rope 1.5 hours of cycling on a stationary bike 60 hours if training each day with only Sundays off.
When you're opponent with no neck walks into the ring, wearing only an old towel with a cut out hole for his head to fit through, a pair of boots with no socks and plain black shorts, you know you're in trouble!
When Tyson was in him prime, he only wore his shorts, shoes and gloves and had worked up a full sweat walking to the ring lol. He literally intimidated everyone and any boxer who said otherwise was just lying.
You don’t know what to believe anymore nowadays lol. I knew it had to be a lie. 2000 squats?? I don’t think that’s even humanly possible with the amount of weight Mike was squatting in the video.
Except we HAVE TO work for a living whether it’s 60 or 80 hours. I don’t have privilege of punching a bag for a living. Not sure how HE did it. Must have pretty good support network or something. Stop glorifying athletes
@@tradingelevationthose numbers are reported by everyone close to him, perfectly doable for 5 weeks before the fight, a regular dude would be dead but we're talking 1 a 100000 genetics here plus a team of people training him, cooking for him and the sorts. When he was off fights he enjoyed his life.
@@DimitriTheBarbarian Mike Tyson started training in his teens, early teens. He didn't have a home, wife & kids requiring him to work 60+ hours to provide for, Cus made it possible for him to literally live, eat, sleep training & preparing to become a legendary heavyweight champion.
@@sergiomarretta3753 don't spread misinformation! 2000 squats? if you know anything about training then none of this makes any sense - and that's not to say Tyson's training was easy. It was super tough no doubt but it's not this.
@@Twobuckets321 you're a liar, Mike even when he lost never got knocked down in a shocking fashion. He had one of the best chins actually, it's just overshadowed by his skills
That was his Prime. No body stood a chance against him, not Holyfield not Lennox Lewis. He started losing once he stopped following that work ethic and started partying.
@@royceschmidt5263mayweather also did the same shit of avoiding pacquiao in his prime. Accused pac of peds as an excuse when he’s guilty of the same shit. You don’t go to the olympics full natty against a world full of rule breakers
And then fired Kevin Rooney and had Don king with his cronies filling his head with hate. I wish cus had of lived 5 more years. Tyson was an awesome specimen and I’m grateful to have witnessed it first hand!
Cus created a gladiator. That amount of time he spent between working out and looking at old fighters makes this a very dangerous man!. The boxing knowledge alone makes him frightening.
Heck the fact that Cus even saw huge fight potential in fat chubby kid that liked being with pigeons is amazing in it's self😂. Cus was the great sensei of boxing
@@CCmagee3he publicly admits he used drugs even before fights. So, no secret there. I mean, I don’t even like violent sports, but every time I watch Iron Mike, I get mesmerized. It’s absolutely insane. My all time favorite boxer. He is the best, period. And guys, don’t even come and tell me he lost with this or that guy, You need to take into consideration everything that went through on those fights, his life before the fights he lost, his mental state, the goals, the will to win, or lack of it. If anyone tells me he is not the best eve, because he lost some fights, it only means they don’t understand shit about life, about mental state and everything connected to losing a fight by a guy such as Mike. Even pride can make him lose. Although I don’t think it was pride that made him lose, it was other factors. He is the face of boxing.
It's like Tyson said on JRE podcast, "Getting in shape is being able to fit in your clothes, Getting in condition is being able to come out of your SOUL"
That training is ridiculous, you can't maintain that sought of training without becoming stale. It's over training and I don't believe this was his routine
it was noticed by several people even before he met Cus that he was extremely strong for his age and was a lot stronger than other kids of his age. That fight where he was i think 15 years old fighting another boxer who was several years older than him and Mike looked like he was 25 in the face.
Insane thought. What if he had MMA training since age 15. It's just a thought. One fight he was eyeing up his opponent. It may have been Marvis Frazier, or one of the Spinks brothers. They were "shaking," and I remember a tear or tears of fear. I would not let my fighter go out to even start the fight. That's the fear he put in opponents .
Tbh when mma was starting to get recognition (90s) alot of people where pure strkers or grapplers. At the time the fighters werent nearly as wellrounded as today. Mike Tyson in the correct age could probably get pretty far i he just learned some basic kick/wrestling/submission defence.
Unstoppable drive, confidence, determination & vision. It was MTs turn to prove it to himself. This man earned hos degree ,masters & PHD in the gym & convocated in the ring. I say roll out the carpet for thos man and make his the saint he is. He was crucified by the masses, but always rose to the top. Saint Mike he is. God bless.
I wanted to replicate Mike’s regiment but his workouts consisted of reps that were in the THOUSANDS. Hit a thousand of anything and you’ll get on the right track.
Can't people just give credit to hardwork without bringing genetics. There's sheer force of will as well If you don't have the will, genetics won't mean shit
True but without that genetics your body wouldn't be able to recover quickly enough for you to be able to do it all over again. Most people do 2000 squats they can't walk for a week, man was doing 12000 per week for 5 weeks.
Mike was 13 yrs old and nearly 200 lbs when he met Cus. After watching 1 round sparring, Cus told him; you're going to be the youngest HW champion in history. Mike had zero training and didn't know what "work" was; he was a street thug with 38 arrests. CUS SAID THAT BECAUSE OF MIKE'S GENETICS. Which proves you're a brainwashed fool.
Yeah, that’s why Mike was so good at basketball. The fuck genetics don’t play a huge part in someone’s success at certain sports. His proportions and leverage are perfect for a heavyweight boxer. Those were handed down from his ancestors’…. Genetics.
His only weakness, which started showing up in the second half of his career, was his mental fortitude. Aside from that, I think he’s the greatest heavyweight of all time.
I worked for a magazine distributor back in the eighties. I remember seeing his picture on all of the sports magazines. I can remember thinking, how in the world is anyone going to beat this guy? Turns out not many did.
You also have to remember that his trainers built him up to that level of workload over 6 years. That's still a massive amount of training, and I would not be surprised if that one of the major reasons that Tyson burned out early.
Most all of us have trained in some sport and know what it means to train hard, but this is a mammoth gift of genetics, strength, size, determination, power and the list goes on and on. There is only one Iron Mike.
