Not many people give enough credit on how the new TNGA based Toyotas actually have well sorted handling like some reviews did mentioned. They're mostly overshadowed by people calling them "boring, outdated, uncle car". The only TNGA car I've driven so far is the Corolla Cross, and I was surprised how nice is it to drive for a crossover SUV. Most people will dismiss the TCC for being "outdated, ugly, overpriced, why not buy the X50 instead?", but having driven both, the TCC is just an overall more refined, rides and handle better, only lacking the more powerful turbocharged engine of its competitors.
That would be a huge downgrade. I downgraded from MK7TSI to X50 Flagship, I myself also think is a downgrade. No offense, from MK8 GTI over 200K to 120K HRV would be really surprised to made this decision. As even I bought TSI for 144K and bought X50 FS for 106K, people were being sarcastic, let alone from MK8 gti to HRV
Sometimes you need to swap from sports to comfy 👍🏻. Me from Alfa Romeo to Honda civic, my first impression was no one would like to look at it for another time compared my previous car that sometimes would be someone stop and look at it even take a picture 😂
Bimmer for me is always like a in between temporal experience , its * arguably * better than some legendary sport car mx5 , s2k, gr86, skylines (jdm) yet far from the best (porsche, lotus, etc) , apart being the stigma of the most auto goto car for wealthy uncles & aunties or auto go to for the brand conscious professionals is an image i cannot shake off, or less desire to be associated with , every bmw model identical grill make them all like the same car only make it less attractive to me Same reason i dont go for mazda consumer car , i cannot distinguish very identical models like that , they r beautiful respectively tho Obviously , it is inarguably solid all rounder to own & have its own magic otr , However , it means * at times* esp after the honeymoon period over, there will be more enticing choices out there , say RS , new Supra , european , etc each with own justification for replacing the bimmer The only thing i can imagine myself driving a bmw is m2 . I would migrate from Jdm to 718 gts 4.0 or a high end Lotus
