Onana was a mistake replacement for De Gea, they should have kept him, however Ten Hag was never the correct manager also so it’s not surprising this was the outcome for David De Gea. Large mistake.

Great video. All the top teams now have keepers with incredible passing skills, it is clear this playing out to beat the press gives you an advantage. Arsenal swopped out Ramsdale for Reya and they have improved. The fans and journalists don't really get it but all the coaches know playing out from the back will win you more matches. Arsenal were brave enough to do it at Spurs last weekend and it was a big reason why they won the game.

The simple fact is he's the best shot stopper of this generation, and he still was when he was axed at United. And yet no top team will touch him anymore. There is something wrong with the current state of the game when that's the case. It's become a sterile and nauseatingly clean game to watch. I want goalkeepers to be goalkeepers again, not glorified No 6s with gloves on.

De Gea kept United from relegation in the latter years. They were appalling but he saved them time and time again. almost like a one man team. There is no comparison between De Gea and Ten Haag who has not shown himself to be a very good manager. Rather than change the player, change the manager. Not a United fan but did admire his brilliant goalkeeping. To be honest, a spell in the Chanpionship might do entitled United some good.

I loved watching him in the United goal. In the end, he gave the club better than the club gave him, and I truly hope he has enjoyed life post-Manchester. He was player of the season 4 or 5 times, which says a lot about the sad state of the club. If your best player is your goalkeeper, on a consistent basis - then you have much bigger problems around the park. Case in point: every World Cup Brazil has ever won, was accomplished by 10 gifted outfield players and a very average pedestrian wearing a different color shirt. They have the best goalkeepers today that they have ever had, and aren't winning anything.
