I became a Leeds Utd fan in 1975, and Gordon quickly became my favourite. I was gutted when he left for MU. As an Englishman I will always remember his goal for Scotland against England, a flying header. One of the best headers I have ever seen. R.I.P Gordon.

Dementia is one horrible disease for anyone. I remember big Jack Carlton documentary few years back having dementia and it was hard to watch seeing that legend that made Irish nation proud of our team under his watch.

Gutted. He was part of the Man Utd team that i first supported as a boy. Without even knowing he was ill, I was looking him up on Wikipedia last night and looking back at his career. Don't know why, just popped in my head. R.I.P Big man. A true Scottish warrior.

Glad he came to us ( Man Utd ) He was a great centre half for us. When big jack retired from leeds i never thought they would replace a legend like him but Gordon McQueen was that good that Jack was hardly missed.

Growing up in the late 80s when United were rubbish my dad(rest is soul) would tell me stories about the babes, the 60s with Law,Best and Charlton and then the post relegation side that included Big Gordon(one of my dads favourite players) Buchan and later Robson…..it made me fall in love with my club. Sad news for sure I played with Gordon (his nickname was "Gogo") I was age 16 -17 years of age at the time. We or most young lads who played football a school in Kilbirnie called "Central School" they had a concrete playground there may have been 20 to 30 young lads playing. Gordon had a very good left foot if my memory serves me right Gordon had tackety boots think many young lads did have these at the time. nice story about going out on the town and playing golf did not know that one. This story was 7 days ago as I write this comment there was a fine moment on the game through the week at start of game Gordon had his picture up. Yup like i have said sad news for sure does bring it home when it happens to someone you have known and of course age 70 a young age nowadays.
