March 27, 2016 - Resurrection Sunday Communion at Metropolitan Baptist Church with Pastor Emeritus Dr. H. Beecher Hicks, Jr. and Richard Smallwood on keyboard.
This is so beautiful. It takes me back to when we were not in such a hurry but truly enjoyed the fellowship one with another as we reflected on all that Jesus did for us and how much God loves us.
Brings back fond memories of the fellowship I had when I was an Associate Minister at MBC. May God continue to bless you and keep you in His care. I love all of you.
When on the cross of Calv’ry The Lord was crucified; The mob stood ’round about Him And mocked until He died. Two thieves were nailed beside Him To share the agony, But one of them cried out to Him, "O Lord, remember me.” Refrain: Will the Lord remember me When I am called to go? When I have crossed death’s chilly sea, will He His love there show? O yes, He heard my feeble cries, from bondage set me free. And when I reach the pearly gates He will remember me.
I will make it a point to visit this church when I'm in the D. C. area. Amazing choir! I absolutely love hearing their version of 'Lift Every Voice and Sing'.
Please do so! Try to go when the Emeritus Pastor Hills preaches. It will be a treat you will never forget. He is the one singing solo and in the suit. I can't attend regularly anymore but I used to drive 150 mile round trip for services on Sunday. Be aware parking may be tight. It is an outstanding church.
Cancel the "cancel culture" this is my kind of music, my kind of service, deep spirituality coming from the soul deep inside, and not from phony Christians singing "love, all you need is love" Beatles sang that and then settled for money instead!
