Just shaved my head after 4 years of knowing I needed to but was terrified.. Your channel is what gave me the courage.. I should have done it long ago.. Keep the videos coming.. Your doing awesome
Finally! I shaved my head & now I'm feeling much better, at first I was little nervous but your videos Harry gave me the confidence & your looks, thanks man😄
Ah, hairdryer! Good idea! I've heard that drying the blades is supposed to extend the life of the blades, so I always flick the razor on a towel after. I'll be using my wife's hairdryer from now on.
I personally just use a mild safety razor. I really liked the head blade when it came out but stopped using it when they increased the number of blades beyond two . Your skin is thinnest on your head and the increased number of blades gave me incredibly bad cuts at the nape of my neck . The hair pulled and the razor would shave off chunks of skin. It’s a great product but it just no longer worked for me .
iv'e been using headblade for about 10 years, you say astonished that it lasted for 2 weeks!!! i usually replace the blade every 2-3 months and even then it's just out of habit, i really don't see the difference, amazing all the time. i thought about switching and you convinced me to stay with my trusty headblade, thank's!
I found shaving cream in a can to work better than soap and water. But Cremo Cream works better than shaving cream. It can make shaving with any razer pretty easy. There is too much focus on the internet on the type of razor instead of the type of lubricant.
Hi, Based on one of your video I have started to use the Gillette Skinguard, very happy with it, except it takes me more than 10m to shave my head. Does the headblade makes the shaving fastest? Does it comes with a blade or should you directly buy some blades with it? Thanks
Awesome videos as always bro!!!!! I've been shaving my head with the Phillips One Blade as of late and I shave it probably twice a week. I know you've given this razor a positive review in the past. I used to shave my head with dollar shave club razors which I know is just horrible. LOL The One Blade doesn't take the hair down as much as a razor but it is a closer shave than any electric shaver I have ever seen. I may try the "sports car midlife crisis blade" next now that I am 43. hahahahha Keep up the awesome work with the Baldcafe channel and videos bro. I feel like I learn a lot of cool things on this channel and that we are likely going to see you introduce us to a yet undiscovered new razor design with the Baldcafe signature on it. You've made balding and head shaving fun my friend!!!
Thanks so much for this comment and for the awesome support. Really glad to hear you enjoy the content and I will continue putting out the best stuff I can 👍
Hey bro it’d be cool doing some kind of consensus or debate on guys who don’t or can’t grow facial hair and shaving your head bald would be interesting to hear people’s different perspectives.
Good idea I will see what I can do man and add it to the list . For me I don't think it is essential at all but its nice to have the option and use it to mix up the look a bit 👍
Was SO excited to try the OmniShaver......and it sucked... Apparently I can't use a regular razor NO MATTER WHAT... ALWAYS bleed or get crazy bumps... I HAVE to use an electric foil razor so prevent cuts...
Thank you for this video! I just shaved my head for the first time. I've always thought about it but never tried. I just figured that I'm stuck in the house during all of this Covid-19 stuff so, now would be the perfect time. I did it with clippers and two days later with my regular razor. I ordered a Headblade a few days ago and am currently waiting for it's delivery. After seeing your video it looks like I made the right decision. Thank you again!
Ive been a Headblade guy since day one! But i think its a bit of a learning curve and some people might find it a bit tricky!😉 Excellent video mate!😊 Also i like the Headblade because of the price point and they have a great website!😊
@@danielerubado32 Ya man i use the Headblade Moto every two days also! The Headslick is great but i usually experiment with different shaving creams! Gillette makes awesome products, cant go wrong with them! I just prefer the Headblade it feels so easy to use for me! 😊
@@ericvanslot5409 the same with me.i use headblade moto and headslick shave cream o shaving cream with brush, every 2 day.do you like hb4 o hb6?I prefer hb4👍🏻
Interesting review. You stated that Dollar Shave Club's blades are not the sharpest but the blades in Headblades are sharp. The problem with your analysis is that both the blades by Dollar Shave Club and Headblade are made by Dorco and both use Dorco's premium blades so they should be equally sharp.
Harry we need some body grooming video i am particularly s guy who get alot of irritation on shaving anywhere except face A video on how to have a shave nd have a long-term smooth irritation free experience would be helpful
Thank thank you so much BaldCafe! I wanted to get my boyfriend a head shaver and I was looking at all the different types of head shavers on Amazon and youtube. Yours stood out to me the most to me and I love the fact that you described each one of their pros and cons. I agree that Moto is the best one so far. I will be purchasing this for my boyfriend as a Father's Day gift thank you so much. ❤️❤️
@@Baldcafe I had a comb on my pocket all the time, just in case. A big beard like that needs the same product that when you had hair. A hold cream or wax do wonders my friend ;)
I feel like if I’m gonna shave my head (and I do) my first thought isn’t “I need to be able to completely shave it faster than I can take a piss” 😂😂 less than a minute?? I mean I’m shaving my fucking head 😂🤣 it’s gonna be the first thing people notice immediately. Take your time fellas. If your chosen head shaving technique takes you 10 minutes….. is that horrible?? I’ve been using my skull shaver (although I do switch up what I use) lately and I do go fast but not too fast. I take my time make sure I haven’t missed anything. Gently not too much pressure at all and I even touch up with my Braun series 9. After shave care and yeah it’s 10-15 minutes total max. Every 2 days 🤷♂️🤷♂️ that’s good in my books. Take your time
Bro why wouldn't you trim your mustache is having hairs covering your lips a cool thing to do what's going on here? How can you function in life like that? Point is trim mustache bro walk around cleancut respect comes with the territory therefore trim up proper and dress like a boss.
These are good razor blade but I always get razor bumps using it so now I got the pitbull skull shaver. It shaved really good almost as close as a razor blade. The price is just a lil high but its worth it.
Cheers mate you make great videos this one your reviews and honest guide make great viewing I saw your reviews gave me the confedence to shave my head and three months in it's the best decision I made thanks to you . I use combination of OmniShaver and headblade Moto loving it keep up your videos
Hey man this video reminded me of the time I shaved my head clean. I found that I had a tonne of spots and then over the next few days I had bad spots and painful ingrown hairs at the back. Basically how do u avoid this
There are a few things to try but I don't have so much expertise with spots etc myself. I would say make sure you prepare well before the head shave. Nice and warm head. after shaving rinse with nice cold water.
I've heard they are "average" The heads were made by Dorco im not sure if they still are. The Dorco page 6 plus is a winner for me. But just get the original Dorco version and not a more expensive rebrand 👍
I just found out from this comment. I’m heartbroken :/ Only seen and spoken to him once. He was really friendly, we actually got to talk about Headblade and also about the other products mentioned in the video
@@KD_SWAGGER yes. I just found it wasn’t a very smooth shave. I cut myself a couple of times. I also had trouble cleaning out the blades. To be honest maybe it was just me, but overall I ended up tossing it out.
I tried all three and these are what i think about each of them: Headblade: Easy to use and it curved to the shape of my head. I stopped using it because it had too many blades for my head. Omnishaver: Like you said it felt like i was scraping my head and my head is sensitive so going against the grain made my head fight off razor bumps for weeks. Halftime razor: Just like the omnishaver the going against and with the grain left me patches and razor bumps. Learning curve was annoying.
What you using now? I’m looking for a quickiest and easiest and safiest headshaver but so far I have no idea what would be the best if Omnishaver would leave razer bumps on sensitive skin.
Well, I've used all of these and your favorite is my least favorite. The Headblade clogs like a son of a gun. If you shave daily, fine. But wait a day or two, and it's worthless. (I've tried several models of the HB, and it's just a non-starter.) Both the Omnishaver and the Halftime Razor are pretty good. But for covering a big area fast with no clogging, the best razor is The Defender. A friend turned me on to it and I think he's right. You keep The Defender handle and just replace the blades.
We’re you using the 4 or the 6 blade cartridge on the HB? I use strictly the 4 blade cartridge and can go 4-5 days between shaves and have no issues with the blade clogging
With this three razori prefer headblade moto! It quick and smooth shave. But in this moment I use my Gillette fusion prosheild flexball. Headblade moto and Gillette fusion prosheild is two my best.by
Have been using the headblade for about 18 months it's so easy to use, only cut my head once in that time and that was my fault, I use a skull shaver first then the headblade to get my head smooth, I use in conjunction with the headblade slick and am really impressed with results, recommended to a mate who has been using a conventional razor for years and he's not going back to a stick.
I can recommend the Twinshaver. It's designed by a guy in Munich. This Thing is quick and clean and the replacements are widely available (at least in Germany) as this Razor uses Wilkinson Protector 3 Cartridges. You can get 4 for 4€...
I am looking for a head shaver with 3 or 4 blades that does not shave completely but leaves half a millimeter or one millimeter of hair length because I don't like to have a shiny head and the skin feeling. Other than that I don't like classic trimmers because they starch my head and it is unpleasant. Does anyone know if there is a shaver like that?
I was actually wrong about my last comment about protein intake. Look up dietary fiber and dht, apparently fiber lowers the amount of circulating androgens by increasing SHBG which lowers DHT. Check it out. I could be wrong about this too
Hello there, thanks for all your reviews and vids. Quick question: is there any electric shaver you've reviewed that get close to a wet razor shave? If not, which I assume there isn't, which one gets the closest? thx in advance for your time and thx again for the great vids!
1 BlackAnt keeping it in there permanently? It could prolong its life I suppose. They recommend using their own brand of shaving butter to prolong its life also.
thanks for the videos new to balding which electric razor would you say is best you've tried so far for that quick close shave using a Remington 360 at minute and takes ages keep going back to the one blade to finish the job but like the palm feel of the Remington was the skull shaver any good thanks
Thinking of trying the boldking anytime soon? They say no nicks and no cuts with a fast shave but both first and second (last) shaves left me with many cuts and nicks, I’d compare there razor to a safety razor rather than a cartridge razor if anyone does think of using it. Or maybe after all this time I just don’t know how to shave my head properly 🤷🏻♂️
I've been shaving my head for about 2 months now. Head blade was my starter and I love it. I'm using the original model though whereas this review was on the MOTO model with that extra side to side pivot. I've been interested in the Omni and Halftime so I'm glad I saw this and can be happy with the choice I already made. Just like any other razor though, be careful about the pressure you use. I lopped off a few horrific sized pieces of scalp in my first 2 weeks going at it the way I would a Gillette on my neck. Don't press, just drag it and it works fantastic. Only a mild learning curve to it.
Appreciate the comparison. Been using Headblade Sport for many years. Always have led with the blade, while the wheels tagged along. Now Headblade seems to be the reverse: Lead with the ball, let the blade follow. Seems like it would be harder to control. Anyone else changed from the old to new? Thanks!
I use warm water, conditioner and a Bic single razor without lube strip then to keep it smooth throughout the week a electric shaver. It does the job good. I also use when not using conditioner toothpaste gives the scalp a clean feel
I'm not balding in anyway in fact I love my hair especially growing it out but one day I just shaved it down to a 0 and I loved it. It made me feel even more confident and I think I look great. Then I found your channel and I'm hooked. Bald is powerful
I feel you. I still have a full head of hair, but I started experimenting with the bald look during the pandemic and I love it. I enjoy my hair but the bald look is so simple and enjoyable.
I use the cheap yellow Bics and they work fine. A little tedious, though, so definitely interested in something a little more purpose-built for my dome. Thanks.
What is the cheapest and least hassle thing to do to shave your head mate. I dont want to keep buying razors over and over. Atm i use a balding clipper it was £20 and great but not super tight. Like what did vikings do 😂 or bald guys through history.
Bald DeGea The buzz cut with a decent set of clippers like the Remington quick cut is a good option but not super tight like you say. To save money it would be the DE safety option. But my fastest most comfortable and affordable shave comes from the Dorco page 6 plus in the shower 2 mins I’m done ✅
@@Baldcafe my wee balding clippers are 0.4mm which is alright. I'm far too lazy to use a razor everyday. If i go travelling or something man I just want something to chuck inn suitcase yano. Oh i went back and watched your vid when you were deciding to grow a beard, made me decids not to shave mine off 😂
Baldcafe I’ve been seeing you are liking the dorco pace 6 plus a lot now ? seems like it’s your top razor these days, I know you use to praise the Gillette pro glide 5
Yet again, great video! I was looking for the Omnishaver online a couple of days ago, but couldn't really find a reasonably priced method to get it here in Europe. Then I stumbled upon something that is called the Twinshaver on Amazon and ordered it straight away. Its comparable to the Halftime Razor, but with the difference that both blades can be in contact with your head at the same time. I was really impressed with this on my first try, because it halfed my shaving time on the first try, without any technique to speak of. Really great product too. The only thing I don't like is that the cartridges only have 3 blades each, giving the whole shaver 6 blades total.
