How tight do you torque the nuts on the engine block when re-installing your manifold? How do you ensure the gasket has been install correctly; any tricks to avoid pinching or damaging it?

@gamaphobe7 that is correct, the L spacer goes on the lower or rear 02 sensors :)

So the L spacer goes at the bottom and they come with the header? Also good tutorial

Those stock exhaust manifold pipes look really good for a stock set-up. Did anyone do a before and after run on a dyno? I would almost think that a cat back system would be more helpful.

The headers I bought came with a mid pipe as well, would that make a difference?

Maybe you guys might know the answer to my question, or someone who sees this will. I had codes p0431 and p0421 come up. Took my gs to the shop, they said it was the cats, which I already knew. They replaced the one with the exhaust manifold, but said the other didn't have a sensor so they didn't change that one to "save me money." A month later, I'm getting p0431 again. Could that be from the second cat not being changed or something wrong with the installation of the one with the exhaust manifold? I don't know much about cars but I'm trying to learn lol.

I have the obx headers and i have a catback exhaust that is catless do you think i will have problems when i get the obx headers on?

Can I just use a wrench instead of the 02 sensor socket?? And do you need the swivel socket? No way around it??

I have a 09 mitsubishi galant with a 2.4L. I have a bad catalytic converter(s) and I really don't wanna buy another one I'll rather get rid of the cat. Do you think this header will fit on the galant with no problem?

Do you guys know where I can buy the o2 sensor simulators? I'm putting long tubes and a cat delete on my 2012 eclipse gs 2.4l. As far as I know all I need are 2 o2 sensor sims. Or will I need to get sims for all 4?

Hey, did the lower o2 sensor after the cat through a trouble code? P0421 or something like that catalyst below threshold? And if it did how did you get around that.

I installed some headers on my 4g eclipse gs and it's running bad now. It has no power and doesn't rev past 4500 rpms and sometimes has a hard time revving up as well when I press the gas. Any ideas on what I did wrong?

I had my headers installed to my 4g eclipse gs about a week ago, after a day or 2 of driving without issue my engine service soon light came on and it's been on ever since. I had my headers installed professionally and when I asked the shop about the problem they told me I would need to have my car tuned. Is there truth to that or is it something as simple as resetting the ecu?

But its the gs, why does anyone put anything aftermarket in these when even maxed out it's just as good as a stock GT.... Which a person can easily buy for around 4k. Or spend half that ( or almost all of it) on aftermarket items for a gs...... Makes absolutly no sence
