Thanks Jason! I've searched for help on learning how to replace my spark plugs on my 07 eclipse GT v6. Your video was the best by far!! You literally saved me $425 in labor! And I can also go ahead and change my spark plug o-rings and valve cover gaskets while I'm in there! Thanks man your videos are awesome!!George
Accidentally launched a plastic straw through the TB and into the manifold the other day, so now I'm looking for a way to get it out. Looks like this will do nicely. Thanks man
Ok I know this has been up since 2013 but THANK YOU for this video and for being so detailed and straight to the point. Most videos I've seen end up having too much banter and unnecessary content. It is so difficult to find anything specific to this car especially when I want to know schematics. You told every part and even the hint on labeling to bolts was perfect because who thinks about that until afterwards when it's too late lol. Now I know exactly how to get to the back 3 when others only show the front 3!! Thank you again!!
Jason Willis 😲 aww man well I hope you got something you really like to replace it. And I still know I can probably refer to this video/comments to ask about any possible questions on mine lol. It's hard to get responses on alot of forums.
Good video bro, so many people make crap videos. This is simple, to the point and detailed. I cracked my engine cover 2 days ago because i didnt know where to pull it xD should of watched this before i tried
Thanks for the Video! This is gonna be my first time doing the tuneup my self and I was wondering what type of spark plugs should I use? I was looking at the NKG BKR6EIX would you recommend those?
Hey man, I was wondering how much of a pain in the ass or is to go 1 step further on the back bank to the valve cover gasket? I just got an 07 gt 3.8 and I've only worked on like 80's Toyota type 4 banger shit.
Great video! I hope you are still active on here.. Where did you get the conversion kit for the bolts with the Allen key head? Will those also work for the valve cover? I just snapped a bolt..
thank you very much mission done 100%... but I have a question after I do that if I accelerat smell like something burning I don't know from whare it come!!!! sorry for my week English!
I have a set of 6 OEM used with 40k on them that fire fine if you want to buy them from me and i can ship them. usually if one coil starts misfiring they all will in sequence as you replace them unless you do them all at the same time.
Thank you🙏 Really professional help. I have replaced my spark plugs following you and it was very easy. I have found a cut wire on my GT and I don’t know from where is coming. Could you help me out?? I could send you some pictures if you could give me your email adress.
Hey Jason , does the gasket under the intake manifold need to be changed? I also checked one of my coil packs and it had a bit of oil on it. What could be the possible cause for it?
I changed the spark plugs on my 2006 Eclipse GT but now it runs and idles rough, like it has a vacuum leak or something. Is there a gasket under the manifold that you removed?
there is a gasket in-between the upper and lower manifold. you should replace it when you take it off along with the o ring gaskets on the valve cover and valve cover gaskets.
Which plugs are on the front 2,4,6 in rear 1,3,5 is that correct I know firing order Is 1,2,3,4,5,6 my check engine light is on because of misfire number 3 cylinder
yeah so if your standing in front of the car looking at the engine the cylinders from left to right go 246, front from left to right a 135. keep in mind you usually have to replace all the coil packs.
I replaced the gasket on the valve cover. When I plugged the spark plug boots they seem to not plug back on to the spark plug tips firmly. What's the fix for this? I thought you just push them back on to the spark plugs - but not that simple.
My buddy broke my cover taking it off to help me the first time i changed my plugs so i used super glue and baking soda to repair it then after it was dried i put some body filter over it sanded it down painted it and now u can't tell it was cracked
im thinking about replacing them and get it over with already, cause the labor involved in replacing it again if need be later on while doing my spark plugs. Im above the 100k mark so i think mines due for a change
lol you lost me it got confusing with the injector part like do i really have to remove all those wires and cables? if not you should make another video on just the spark plug how to
First thanks for the video, i need to put back the valve/rocker covers, what are the torque specs for the bolts? Or advice? I just got a 06 eclipse gt, no owners manual.
