I’m currently undergoing pretty extensive treatment for breast cancer, but watching your videos gives me so much hope and determination to survive so that I can continue to explore this amazing country. On a side note, Jasper is a very old soul and is a beautiful human! You are imprinting on him the importance of our earth and nature - beautiful family!

Hi TFGF, Well done and congrats on your channel. I like the mix of road/driving vision, town reviews, camping spot reviews, equipment reviews, attractions and local info. The background music is fab too. I dream about touring Oz, but for me it's looking like it won't happen until retirement (when I'm too old to do it on my own effectively LOL). In the mean time Ive picked (haven't bought) my van, tow car and photographic/video equipment 🙂

I lived at Chinchilla for awhile really nice place. It is said out there that it's just east of too far west! That's funny... in the 80s a joke was... "ya gotta build a tower to get a view out there!" 😂 ... And they did!

After bingeing every episode over the last few weeks I am finally up to date. And what a great episode to catch up to - 10 years to the day I started my career out at Roma in the mines 🙂 thank you so much for all your content

Great episode as usual. Try reducing the pressure in your air bags by 5 psi, it took the bounce out of our rig.

We enjoyed this one about our beautiful town of Chinchilla. My husband and I are hoping to do some traveling in our caravan to see this wonderful country we live in. Your channel inspires us to get on the move. 😊😊

Just found you guys and I wanted sometime different to follow a couple/ family travelling around Australia. Watched a couple of random vids and loved your commentary and the way you explained about the town, people, weather, campsites etc. We are from Sydney and took us 12 years to finally completed the lap of Australia in Nov 2021 living in our caravan full-time. Now we are currently living in Cairns. So these vids will bring back lots of memories. We stayed in Chinchilla about 8 years in that free camp next to the weir...gosh it has changed alot. Looking forward to your vids and watching some of your past ones.

We loved Chinchilla although the waterpark was not working when we went through. The Big Rig is a place we recommend to everyone if we know they are going to Roma. We stayed at the Gun Club while in Roma which was an excellent Low cost stay. Great video, as always Jasper steals the show

Thanks for the journey, know all the roads yous travelled well , Chinchilla, then Roma was my Work base for several years, Was based at the Villa Caravan Park, right next to old winery, the years they had 3 floods , 7.6m, 6.7m, then the big one 8.4m, so much damage, It's good to travel the back roads so much to see , less traffic, Enjoyed , Cheers Bevan from Sapphire Central Queensland 🤠❤️🇦🇺

Hi. Longtime UK viewer here. Loving the series. I like how you mention all your songs with Spotify. Do you have a playlist of all the songs you have used that you keep updated. Would be great to share it on Spotify or your website. Enjoy your travels.

Good video series. On 70 series suspension - it's most likely going to be a simple case of prioritising load capacity over comfort. Remember that 70 series are not a magic carpet ride and the rest should be easy. It's good that you are weighing the rig after mods - that will tell you the required rear spring rates - or whether you need to shed some rig kgs. From what I can see, I'd say you are in the ball park of needing 800kg rear leaf packs for the load you carry ( you might already be there). Heavy leaf packs are often avoided because they impact unladen ride quality, you lose some clearance and rear flex will be limited. Parabolics probably aren't the solution for your rig - assuming it's very heavy. Air bags are possibly ok for trimming the ride level but it may not be wise to rely on them to supplement an under-sprung vehicle - especially with the leverage influence of the ball weight relative to the axle on a 79. Good luck sorting it out.

A great spot Chinchilla is. Glad you’re doing the natural science loop. Eromanga, Yowah and Charlotte Plains were our highlights. On your way back to SEQ you should camp at lake Broadwater near Dalby. The facilities are like those at the weir of Chinchilla. It’s a beautiful spot.

Don’t get too hung up on ride height towing. You want a little bit of give. I have an old F250. Different car, but same basic suspension. I only run about 18-20 psi. I have slightly softer leaf springs and air bag. I make sure my adjustable shock absorbers are wound up a bit. Also maybe look into parabolic springs. See 4XO Andrew Simpre White. Cheers Mark

Hi guys. Can't comment on the cruiser suspension but I run a 2018 Hilux and tow a 2.4t van. I've got ~300kg on my ball and a bit in the tray with a fibreglass canopy. Running a lift with standard weight springs and I find 18psi is where I need to be. 16 gives us too much back and forth rocking and 20 is a bit rough on the bumps.

I towed a van on that poor excuse for a road in June. Trust me, it isn’t your suspension that is the issue. It is the poor condition of the road. The only thing that worked for us was to drive at a slower speed!

I have an almost identical land cruiser, o tow a 22 foot van. I found 30psi gave great stability, but I had to firm up the front shocks to reduce bounce. Reducing airbag pressure would also help prevent the sea-sawing type bounce. What suspension do you have?
