c-6 Z06's have the sound thing covered over all cars. The more rpm's and alcohol and meth till they are better and better attaining perfection even over any other crank style or number of pistons and compression. Even the ls3 and 9's are notes from the gods!!!
One of the nastiest N/A cars around. I have serviced a few and have been in several. I thought the Hellcat I was in was insane. These cars with HCI upgrades are even quicker still N/A.
My mechanic has one HCI putting down 580 whp. It’s insane. The gears are pretty tall but the low end torque makes up for it. It’s a rocket on wheels with just over 3100 lbs.
@UTubeCorruptAntiFreeSpeechLiberalCo Absolutely not. They all came with the LS7 7.0L engine. The C7 Z06 is the only Z06 that was supercharged with the LT4.
I wrench in a speed shop and was on a road test in a modified C6 ZR1. Did a pull on the freeway on ramp through second and third gears right passed an unmarked cop parked off to the side. I hit the brakes when his lights came on - I was at about 120 mph - but the cop never moved.
Right....you always seen in race vids with vettes vs other cars where someone says, "they're lying about the horsepower". Nope, people forget they weigh about what a Honda accord does, and the transmission is in the back for better traction and balance.... assuming its older than 2020
Power to weight is a hell of a thing. My Mustang would need about 700whp to keep up. It's hard to find gears for a Z06 but imagine with 3.55 or 3.73 it'll be a monster.
I don't know, the gearing seems pretty spot on to me. This thing is crazy fast, and I think changing out gearing like that would just make him shift more and possibly hurt top speed for little to no true benefit.
When I had a c6z I swapped out the trans for a tr6060 out of a c6zr1. That is what this one needs. Those trans have better gearing. You see the way this one drops a good amount of rpm’s going from 4th-5th the zr1 trans does not
@@racequad9 they come with a tr6060 also but the gear ratio is different then what comes with a zr1. Try to watch a video of a zr1 going through the gears and look at the 4th-5th vs a z06. Then you will see what I mean.
@mk6chris I just bought one a few months with just over 600hp at the wheels. Once you get into the cam hard around 5k rpm it literally feels like my gsxr 600. Gearing is the exact same too. It’s a monster for sure
@@MK6CHRIS It has RPM heads, cam, long tube headers, x pipe, dewitts racing radiator, all bushings upgraded to carbon graphite, upgraded suspension, led headlights that look like newer model, Apple CarPlay 10in tough screen strereo with amp sub fully upgraded stereo, short shifter and more i am forgetting right now. I bought it for 42k outright then put 10k into it the first week. Still going to cost another 10k to get interior upgraded to where I want it. I have an Audi S4 getting its engine built right now. After I get that back in a few months I will get z06 interior done. Once it gets on the cam though it moves lie crazy. It is stupid fast lol Makes my 448hp at the wheels S4 feel like a civic lol
@John Smith I have 2 online stores, a digital mining farm and I actually just shut down this other online business I had. I didnt have enough time to do everything. I am going to this training in FL in a few months to learn to do vehicle wraps and window tinting. Each class is a few days and runs between 1.5-2k which isnt bad. Plan on opening a local shop that does tint and wraps. Once I start getting a good rep locally I will hire 2-3 guys to do the work for me. Average car costs almost nothing in material. So paying someone $20/hr costs $160 a day. So I need each person to average 3 cars a day which after material would be about $750 a day they earn for me. Well $590 a day after they get paid. Roughly 3k a week will be what I make off each employee during summer busy months. Online stores I bring in around 12-20k a month. Winter is slower but spring and summer are busy. Mining it depends but around 5k on a bad month but 15k on a good month. Plus I have over 500k in investments, house paid in full and no debt. I grew up in public housing as a kid. I remember what it was like getting a walkman for Christmas with nobody there. I swore my children would never experince that life. They live in house with 5 bed, 4 bath, gym, office, 3 car garage, huge inground pool with diving board. Growing up poor made me realize my mother made piss poor decisions with money. Basically cut her out of my life years ago when she kept asking me for money. I always knew I would get here as odd as it sounds. Even when I didnt know how I always believed in myself. I literally came from having nothing to putting myself in a position to retire in a few years if I wanted to. Although I would never retire because to me that is just being lazy which is against my core values.

I was considering the rpm stage 3 build for my Z with the b3 cam but am considering doing their stage 3 build with this cam instead. Seems to have more mid range and better overall, a few less horsepower but better power band. B3 seems to only really come on up top and is too aggressive

Short shifting first gear is pretty normal right. I usually lose traction on my type r no matter how smooth I go on first gear so it ends up making me super slow unless I short shift. The stupid all season tires I out in it aren’t helping either.
@@DutchZombieSlaya it's been proven you'll get 3.4 0 to 60 when you change to the michelin tires that are stickier than the run craps...i mean run flats, but stock the best times have been 3.5 from a 2006 which also happens to be the lightest year of the group and had the most aggressive tune from factory.
This is to Rob C, I will not argue the point of top speed. I could careless about internet bs, because no one provides proof of their vehicles being stock... Having tested these myself for GM, most of these C6 Z0’s never got over 194-195 mph in perfect air and a near sealevel elevation. The most common top end was 188 in fact. We tested 100 C6 Z0’s top speed and all other acceleration, braking and handling before they hit the showroom I was on the testing team. A mildly modded C6 Z0 with around 585 hp could push 200 mph. The 200 lb heavier C6 ZR1 couldn’t barely hit 200, topping 203 several times and it has better, longer spaced gearing in the last 3 vs the C6 Z0.
