In today's episode of Victoria 2 A to Z I played as one of the greatest and most fun nations in Victoria 2, the Ottoman Empire. Can I restore the Ottoman Empire to it's former glory across the Middle East? Or will the Ottoman Empire take its revenge?

Particualrly the less well off countries, such as the Irish, greek, polish, Italians, etc. etc. etc. immigrated a lot to leave what was effectively WAR HELL to the New world, were at most you'd be worried about an apache taking your scalp.

By the way you can annex Egypt way quicker by not accepting the event for their surrender and instead just peacing them out manually, a few years after you've puppeted them you should get an event where you annex Egypt. Edit: spelling

I agree that using the event to annex Egypt is fair in that situation. Sometimes the game kind of cheats you out of something you should have got, so it's fair enough to get something you normally should have anyway. Love watching your videos btw

Yes! Finally you have returned, missed this series after binge watching all of it. It motivated me to finally finish an entire game of Victoria 2, got inspired by your Jan Mayen video and decided to try my luck with it. Turned out pretty well for my first real game ended up as the 8th GP and most of scandinavia under my control (I also took parts of China and New York as souvenirs). Thanks for coming back!

you have to enforce the war goal in the oriental crisis instead of accepting the peace in the event that shows up if you enforce a war goal you get an event to annex them a few years afterwords

Dear dude, please oh PLEASE use your Diplomacy Points for ''Improve Relations' 1. Makes Sphering easier as 100% relations = 50% sphere points increase / 200 % = 100 % but also same for the negative. 2. Your mistake was accepting the Egyptian Surrender event. If you say no peace, and fight to 100 war score, you can actually annex Egypt outright only a few years later.

Do you take the option to disable colonial railroading in GFM? I'm never sure because I don't know what it actually does. I usually leave it enabled and still manage to form some pretty ahistorical colonial empires as nations like Scandinavia or Italy. Colonize a country. Claim that because they have a significant amount of your people that you should annex their country. Take their country by annexation or war then annexation.

How do you guys get to play this mod with good performance? I've been losing my mind with how frequently it crashes and how slow everything moves. One of the popups when you begin says there's a fix by changing a txt file, does anybody know if that works? Does changing my fps to something lower help with anything? I really wanna play the mod but with that performance It's a nightmare

You should have refused the egyptian peace offer and instead enforce your wargoal manually. A few months or years later it would have given you an event to annex Egypt

Hey, Strategy Games Turkoman, just heads up about the mechanics of HPM and GFM, at the end of Oriental crisis, don't accept Egyptian surrenders. just go all the way through and propose peace instead. You'll get an option to annex your Egyptian satellite later. If you're playing as Asia or East/South Europe, conquer Japan immediately WHILE America trying to establish Japan at sphere so they won't form great power. And then take West Coast of USA while they are at civil war. Californian gold rush will boost your economy. I managed to get Ottoman Kyushu all the way to Hokkaido, also Ottoman California this way (also Mughal Oregon in other games lmao). If you're playing West Europe/West Africa nation, conquer East Coast instead. Losing West coast will have USA limping, but they still could fight. Losing East Coast will cap 'em the whole game(you don't have to worry about them anymore). BONUS if you could take Italy before they formed. There are other strats like golden mines in Kunming, Yunan, but that requires luck and long term planning.
