Why does your oats look golden and delicious, and smooth?? I tried your recipe and it looks nothing like that. I didn't melt the honey peanut butter in your video it's almond butter. You put an even ratio of oats and bananas like 1 and 1/2 cups of bananas in this video and looks creamier in texture. I don't get it
@@arisu229 okay, I finally made the bars and you are right 😂. My oat bars look nothing like his either. Followed the recipe to a T. He for sure used flower or did something that is not on the recipe to make his bars look fluffy and light golden brown. For anyone who is interested in making - As for taste, they are okay, my husband said bars tasted too much like oats 😂 I liked the bars , I’m not much for overly sweet snacks and this was perfect. Will I make them again ? probably not because it requires a whole cup of nut butter and nut better isn’t cheap and I would rather use it for other recipe’s. But if you love oats and are looking for a healthy fast easy snack, then this is your recipe!
I just made this and it's Delicious!! Although I added the 1/2 the peanut butter and the other half I added hazelnut chocolate spread and put them in a small pot with about 2 Tablespoons cream to melt them and spread them more easily in the mixture. Turned out great!! The family loves the bars!! Thank you for sharing.
This recipe is like your cookie recipe which save me during breastfeeding. I just added in my supplements. I made a batch of these cookies everyday when I was breastfeeding. Thank you so much for helping a stressed out first time Mom. ❤😂
Firstly, amazing looking healthy cookie bars here!. Yet I'm a slightly confused as you have mentioned in the recipe blog to add butter but in the video it isn't mentioned and baking soda is not mentioned in the ingredients list in the blog as well, could you please correct that for us, for the ease of cooking later? ☺️
I saw this recipe a while ago, i made it once and its so good that i started to crave it every few days!!!😭 Its so easy to make and SO TASTYYYY i usually eat it without baking it, its good both ways tho! (Add Cinnemon trust meee)
I made these with sunflower butter because Im allergic to peanut butter. They turned out great but unfortunately, as they cooled they had turned green on the inside! I did some research and apparently this was caused because of a chemical reaction with the baking soda and sunflower butter. I ended up throwing out the whole thing. So don’t use sunflower butter!!
So you threw all that food because it wasn't aesthetically pleasing or because it wasn't safe to eat? Because what's wrong with it just turning green from reaction with baking soda?
The green is literally just the chemical reaction taking place when the baking soda or baking powder interacts with the chlorophyll in the sunflower seeds. It’s completely harmless. Similar concept when people see garlic turn blue green in some mixed because the ph changing the color from interactions with specific ingredients. It’s natural and normal and completely safe to consume. Sometimes lemon juice can help counteract the sunflower turning it green. Or add in shredded zucchini if the appearance of green bothers you so that way your brain will perceive the green as normal since zucchini baked goods can often show some light green but our brain expects that so we don’t perceive it as “wrong”.
@clocktoweruniverse1369 not sure?? According to Google, you can use pea butter and soy butter 🧈 +sunflower butter!!! My favorite was using almond butter!!! 😋 I hope this was helpful!!
My bars don't look like the recipe. They actually look ugly taking out of the oven. I think there are too many oats in the recipe and your bars are smooth and delicious ontop like it's made of flour or something.
Okay so I am here to comment, this is BOMB!!! I had to bake mine for more than 12 mins because my dish was deeper but it came out just like this....I dont think its a healthier alternative because of the peanut butter and bananas but it's definitely worth it
It has health benefits even though it has calories (like different types of vitamins and healthy fats). Calories isn't everything, and lack of calories doesn't mean it's automatically healthy either.

I was a bit mad that I had to “look” for the recipe. But when you put something that’s good you can demand that. I tried and now this is my favourite oats recipe. I used a mixture of tahini and peanut butter. ❤👌🏼 thank you 😊
