Thanks, fellas. This is important information to get out there. My sister, who ended up with a pacemaker, NEVER got ‘crushing chest pains.’ When the cardiologist did the various scans and tests on her heart, though, it turned out that she had had SIX heart attack events! She said ‘Yeah… there were a few times I felt really tired, but I just thought it was from running around with the kids…’. We almost lost her on the last one. Ladies, pay attention to your health. ✨🙏🏻✨

This was excellent! I went through a month of arm pain, no other symptoms, mostly when I was active. The pain started in my wrist, (thought it was carpal tunnel ) moved up to my lower arm after a week or so, A week or so later, it hit my shoulder as well. Paramedics came out, EKG normal, but blood pressure was very high!! I opted to ignore it. A week later it hit my left breast. Called 911, First group said it was anxiety, make me walk out to the ambulance, second group saw I was having a heart attack. Women's symptoms are often so different. The education is invaluable. I'm 7 years past, and feeling good, but still it haunts me.

I'm a retired ER nurse and over the years I've had women present with a severe toothache, severe upper back pain and abdominal pain radiating through to the back. The elderly woman complaining of severe upper back pain died within 30 minutes of being triaged and she had no previous medical problems.. Yes, there are the classic signs and symptoms but I've learned over my 20 plus years as a nurse that a heart attack is insidious in presentation.

I have a dull pain under my left shoulder blade (not an injury). Also I had a full pain down the inside if my arm (that's gone though). Is it the outside or inside of your arm that's painful with a heart attack?
@sandrataylor2323
@sandrataylor2323 2 года назад
@@theeggtimertictic1136 It is usually the whole arm that hurts but then again it could be atypical, meaning that arm pain during a heart attack can present in different ways such as you described. Have your gallbladder checked out as it can cause pain in your shoulder area also. See a physician as they can run tests that are needed to determine if it is a heart attack or not.

Women are built to have a higher pain tolerance SPECIFICALLY because of childbirth. Women's brain hemispheres are also more connected so we are also more sensitive to the pain we feel. I really appreciate Chris admitting the truth about women's high tolerance to pain. It's so common for doctors to ignore or minimize women's complaints of pain (which probably effects how they seek treatment). Thank you👋✌

Women are built to have a higher....because we might have sons and are stuck marrying our favorite dumb animals! It's a woman's right to scream their heads off and no pain between contractions, my husband got kicked out during my 1st labour and was ill, again, during my second, too ill to run down the hall when my son was cresting (exiting) so I had to climb up the intercom and still the staff felt sorry to him... Guy wouldn't rest... I finally got fed-up, called 911 "Help, my husband won't get off the couch 🛋".... Have a nice week everyone!

Since December of 2020 I've been diagnosed with anxiety, basically severe anxiety. Ever since then I've gone from chest pains every day to every now and then. I've been to the doctor and ER several times. My heart was always fine except for my adrenaline boosting my heart rate up but it wouldn't go past 107. As soon as they would help me calm down my HR would drop and calm down. Also my doctor found out that I am anemic which can cause pains as well. I am still learning everyday to not panic so much. When my chest does hurt I take an anxiety med that's prescribed to me and I relax. My partner also helps me when I'm really panicked and keeps track of my heart rate. It's been a huge battle learning about my body. Understanding that every pain in my chest or around my chest is not heart related. Can anxiety and anemia give me similar pains? Yes. And the last time I was at the ER the doctor asked me "what other proof do you need to be sure that your heart is fine?" And the truth is, I don't need any anymore. My job is very physical and I feel great after every day. It's when I sit down and think about it that makes it start. Chest messages help as well. I'm doing better but every now and then my body will throw me for a loop but I will conquer this. I'm facing it head on but being smart as well. Positive vibes to everyone on here. 🙏🏾

Everything is normal. So I've got to just deal with it. If anything does happen then maybe they'll believe me. Until then I will just do the best I can, cause there's nothing else I can do. My husband had a heart attack and passed away at the age of 50 in June 2019. He had symptoms for 2 years before he had it. He kept going to doctor for little twinges of chest pain, but it wasn't bad, and EKG always came out normal. For 2 years, he was sent away. The night of his first heart attack in March 2019, the EKG was reading he was fine. His only symptom was chest pain, and it wasn't that bad. The only way the doctors knew he was having a heart attack was from his troponin level. He got 2 stents placed that night and then died 3 months later. I believe the stents failed.

I’ve been heaving chest pain for months now, I went to the emergency room, the doctor said everything looks fine and my vitals are good. He said it’s probably stress I told him that I’m not stressed. He didn’t have an answer and I don’t know why I have this chest pain, he referred me to a cardiologist and I haven’t scheduled an appointment yet, I was in the hospital 3 days ago

@@user-op4rv3zj4c You must do followup with a cardiologist. They can run tests to see what is going on. Dont wait until it's too late. I just had a stress echo and a cta of the heart. Those are the 2 tests you need! They will want to do the stress test first and then they might not want to do the cta, but you need to ask for it! CTA will show blood flow and blockages that a stress echo won't show. But a stress echo can show other things like valve problems and such. So it's important to get both! If they don't want to, you need to be your own advocate and push for it until you get them! Good luck!

I would love it if you guys could do am episode on just heart health and heart attack prevention, as in what diet should we be eating? Resistance training is also important in reducing the risk of a heart attack. it reduces the pericardial fat, the fat in the heart sac itself. cardio reduces the epicardial fat. together you get the best results. 2 days a week of strength training along with 30 minutes of cardio most days is the recommended amount. stretching doesn't reduce heart attack risk, but it is important for being able to perform the exercises without pain and injury. just remember dynamic stretching before exercise, static stretching after. However, a consistent yoga practice of only 10-12 minutes a day can help lower your risk and help with the stretching aspect. 10-12 minutes a day is enough to see results, so you don't have to kill it all the time. Adding 10 minutes of meditation reduces the risk of cardiovascular events too, by reducing the response to stress and lowering blood pressure and heart rate. consider adding it to your exercise routine for those "brain gains." it "works out" your vagus nerve and increases vagal tone, which strengthens your body's ability to calm itself down in stressful situations.

2 yrs ago I had a simple calcium cardiac check because it was being offered free; I flunked but no definite blocks were detected. Dr ordered a stress EKG as follow-up; I flunked in that it wasn't entirely normal but was not diagnostic. A cardiac cath was scheduled as "just as a precaution" but they expected it to be OK. I ended up with 2 stents being placed during the cath, with the comment that they had debated doing 3 but that 3 was their line for doing bypass surgery along with the hints that they felt I very close to having a major heart attack. Upon reassessing my history it turned out that various symptoms I had dismissed for various reasons were actually signs of cardiac trouble: 1) Shortness of breath on exertion (I thought I was just out of shape). 2) Chest pain (I had been thinking I needed to watch my diet because I was having severe episodes of heart burn without clicking that the "heartburn" was not occurring after eating). 3) Intermittent neck/jaw pain (I had been having dental problems and was considering making an appointment with my dentist because I was thinking I had some sort of tooth infection going on). Turns out these are all symptoms, especially when combined, of mild heart attack!

It didn’t show up on echocardiograms until I changed Cardiologists and she heard my murmur right away. I’m 3 weeks away from having my aortic valve replaced. It was brutal. My symptoms before the proper diagnosis was fatigue, and fluctuations in BP. Mostly low, but sometimes high BP. When low it was 90/40. When high it was 180/110. So, if you have a Cardiologist who is not giving you any answers - get a new Cardiologist. Also - STAY AWAY FROM HIGH SODIUM MEALS. If you want to trigger AFIB or heart issues - Eat a Pizza or Fast Food Junk Food.

I went to the ER twice due to anxiety. The second time I told them I had a history of partying and substance abuse plus smoked a pack of cigarettes a day for about 6-7 years. My anxiety was causing me to have shortness of breath, chest tightness and pain, numbness, etc…and my anxiety was telling me because I had a poor lifestyle when I was younger I’m having a heart attack. I got there at like midnight, so by time the doctor got to me it was about 3-4AM. I began passing out I was so exhausted. He came in & I was sleeping. Talked to me like I was a total idiot and seeking drugs. Pretty sure it’s because I told them I had a history of drug usage.

It's so hard. I have a hiatal hernia and gerd. Which causes pain not so much burning like you would think with heatburn. Sometimes I get myself so worked up when I feel the pain. I've been to the ER once and had all of the testing and follow up stress test. Everything was fine. I've never had neck or limb pain just the center of my chest.

Women compare all body pain to menstrual cramps, which are similar in strength to the “intense, crushing” pain of many heart attacks, so they put up with it longer than men. Combine this with the patriarchal tendency of some in the medical community to think women over exaggerate pain, and you have a recipe for disaster. Ladies, please don’t wait to get checked and INSIST that medical professionals do not ignore your symptoms.

Since then I've looked at the phz safety data that was released after they were died to release it... I was under the impression we had been given the whole story, then I find out after getting the v that they hid all the data from after 6 months in the trial. Over two thousand people died out of under 50k people in the study!!! I feel sick. :(

I have neck pain but only when I move my neck down mostly - like a needle in my neck. I am quite sure it was caused by a visit to the Chiropractor 12 yrs ago and he twisted my neck when I wasn't relaxed and ready. Amazing pain and burn at the time and it never went away. I'll go to the doc this week but have you ever heard of this ? Thanks.

I'm not a medical person, but if you haven't sorted your symptoms out yet, it sounds like you should seriously tell a Dr about them and don't take no care for an answer. Secondly, go to this Dr's website, they mention it on other videos, and see if there's a contact page there, but they may not answer specific questions from viewers. Please seek a professional or Emergency Room. Write down your symptoms and times. Like a diary. Also, write down what your basic diet is. Are you eating or smoking something that could be poisoning to you or an allergy to. Write down the history of your symptoms the best you can remember, and let the Dr read them. Good luck.

@@theeggtimertictic1136 I've had these feelings since January, and my Appointment was on April 21st. That was the soonest I could get. I had a walk in some time between Jan and March. He said everything seemed fine. I was low on Vitamin D though. I had what I thought was a heart attack on March 26th at 12 : 12 midnight. Chest pain, tingling and numb arms, and a crushing feeling on my heart. I yelled and groaned in pain. But then I started to sing, a song to God and Jesus, about my pain, my feelings, my faults, and inabilities. As I was singing, feelings washed over me. First, I felt like a riven, a hand skimming it's surface, separating the waters, causing ripples through my body. Second, the hand reached in, and set my heart on fire, the heat flowed through my body like waves. When I was done singing it was 1 : 11AM. I was singing almost an hour. And then I noticed, the pain was gone, and I heard a woman's voice call my name. There was also, a hymn of energy in the air. Praise the Lord for healing my broken heart! I talked to the Doctor, on my April appointment about it, but he didn't seem worried about anything. It was probably not an actual heart attack, but actually called "broken heart" syndrome. Which is caused by intense anxiety. I had some bloodwork, and I was low on red and white blood-cells, and high Albumin. My next appointment is May 19th.

@@verreal Thank you I appreciate that. I’ve been having strange symptoms these past few months I already was transported to the emergency room but the doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with me. They did do a chest x-ray in EKG and it came back normal. However I have been experiencing the same symptoms that they’re talking about on these video. I have a physical planned out in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully everything comes out OK and it’s not too late for me to start taking better care of my heart. I just wanna avoid surgery as much as possible. But I have been feeling very fatigued and tired. The doctors said it could be due to stress and exhaustion. And aside from feeling fatigued sometimes I feel heavy almost like I’m carrying a huge weight on my shoulders. Not all day though. I have been watching Dr. Eric Berg and he has some videos on his channel and how to unclog your arteries which I’m hoping is not the case with me. I don’t have any shortness of breath or chest pain. Just fatigue and feeling unbalanced. It’s a scary thought but definitely taking measures to help prevent a heart attack.

@@samuelplacensia9979 wow! Is it possible that you could have some occlusion of the carotid artery on the side of your body on which you are experiencing the heaviness? I didn't mean to be a crepehanger with my original comment, just remembering that, in December of 2002, my Aunt Ramona was having problems with dizziness and doctors found that she had a coronary aneurism. I hope you are able to find out what's wrong! Also, my friend Mark in Orlando has seemed healthy as could be, but doctors found a blocked artery. They hoped to be able to do a cardiac cath and insert a stent, but, then, found out the situation was worse than realized and have scheduled him for a triple bypass. Be careful and good luck!
