I discovered HEART in 1976 with this album, Dreamboat Annie. I still have my vinyl copy purchased then. I was 14 at the time and this album, this band, this sound just blew me away! To this day, nothing compares. Heart is forever timeless, unique and beautiful in sound and soul. Thanks to them for the many wonderful years of music!
This was near the genesis of Heart The sound is simpler, less layers. Amazing for a band that was unknown at the time. Ann's voice, Nancy's guitar... Insanely good drum solo, a classic. The magic men, Mike and Roger- no words can describe the magic.
Love her, but a ridiculously childish thing to say. Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, Linda Ronstadt, Debbie Harry, Grace Slick, Patti Smith.. the list goes on and on, and you're saying Wilson is "hands down" better than all of them? Ridiculous.
@@generalyellor8188 Debbie Harry with her short vocal range? She had a beautiful timbre and was a beautiful woman but obviously Ann is a better singer!
@@generalyellor8188 Janis was the greatest but today Ann is the better! Ann is the better alive. Many male rock singers with her age don't sing like her today!
Nipple-shirt aside, this band, despite their fame (or perhaps BECAUSE of it), was SO underrated. This was always one of my fave songs ever, and this version was no disappointment.
"HEART": FROM SEATTLE, WASHINGTON) VANCOUVER, CANADA--- ONE OF THE GREATEST ROCK AND BANDS OF ALL TIME... I'VE BEEN PLAYING THE ELECTRIC GUITAR PROFESSIONALLY FOR OVER 40 YEARS...AND THE INTERPLAY BETWEEN THESE 2 GUITARISTS WAS AMAZING. SOME OF THE MOST CREATIVE AND UNIQUE GUITAR LICKS ARE ON "BARRACUDA" AND MANY THEIR OTHER JAMS...
I lived for this kind of concert action! Always looking for HEART! Ann Wilson and Nancy were and still are the Queens of ROCK! ALWAYS HAD A CRUSH ON ANN! I LOVE BBW. SHE IS SWEET! EVEN TODAY I COULD LOVE HER UNCONDITIONALLY!
@@rickgrimes2056 i was high on something to forget the story of Heart. Had they Been remotely able to keep the opening lineup.._.Oh everybody thinks that.
As a man born in the late 50s,rock back in the day was always filled with drum solos, it's what helped define the time. Ooh what a lucky guy I am.💓 Forever
@@slippinjimmy6511 it's true what george says if you went to see the rock bands of the 70s you were going to get a drum solo.i too was born in the late 50s
Heart is one of my favorite bands of all time, Roger Fisher is underrated he's a badass guitar player, Ann Wilson awesome singer she knows how to bring it
I agree. Anne Wilson is the greatest female rock vocalist of all time ! Her voice is clear, has perfect tone, projects with power and her dynamics are incredible!!
This video is fun to watch. I've already watch this video three or four times. I can't say this is the great performance because the energy by them but they are very solid for sure.
Best overall band ever. Everyone is a star in their own right. That's what makes the combo so great. Everyone is super top notch alone. Please get back together for your heartbroken fans. :(
man I'm still in love with Ann, but man does this band rock !! not for nothing but I bet that drummer could have given Carl Palmer a run for the money.... so glad to actually be able to hear and see this song actually being performed live here on video, now to go off and research the p.a. system....
I guarantee that the dude in the bustier is regretting that wardrobe decision to this day I had to take a double take before I spit my coffee all over myself laughing wow

@Flat Earth Punks probably what started the fighting. Like j said roger literally tried to bash her head in lol. Roger is a great lead player though. Unique sound
@Flat Earth Punks yeah. Would be dope to see footage though lol. He may gave three it at her head nstead of batting her. I cant remember it's been a long time since I saw th story.
This sounds pretty bare bones. You can tell they were still pretty new and improving. But that bass players vest??? OMG. If he's still around today I'll bet that's one his buddies never let him live that down. But he smiles all the way to the bank with royalties. :)
When Heart first got to be well known and touring guys would yell "show us your tits" at the shows. Steve Fossen started wearing this shirt to shut them up.
The good old days when Ann Wilson was better looking then Nancy Wilson! I met them both in 1983 in Vancouver...even dated Nancy a little bit and met Ann. I worked at an exclusive ladies shoe store called La Tienda Shoe Saloon in Vancouver where Nancy was getting footwear and accessories for a video or modelling gig.
Wow a very dry sound. That's kind of tough to sound good when you have no acoustics. They pulled it off great. Playing on Tour makes for a tight band. Good percussions there Michael.
everyone in this band is still alive this is by far the best lineup heart ever had (except for howard leese he's a poser now ruining bad company) they should put this band back together!
