Very interesting I really enjoyed watching this! My Dad once found a saxon gold ring in the hedge that ran through his garden,he was trimming the hedge & it just fell out!

You’ve had some interesting bits come up and a nice Boxing Day out in the fresh air . Along a couple of my permissions there’s roads with hedges and once you get past the rubbish and tin cans thrown from cars you can get some good finds my best one to date is a Roman silver coin and the chap who detects with me has had two hammered coins all from close to the hedge . My other field theory is to look for a spot where people would lunch by a big old tree and detect around them .
Now that's a great way to spend boxing day with a few finds thrown in too, love the small coil, just goes to show you dont need a coil the size of a dustbin lid, think I will have to find one myself for my ATpro and meet up for a dig
Nice ring mate and you are now called the hedgerow hunter! I agree I think the ring is similar to some rings I googled which are more modern but still one you can wear if it is 😊
@@unearthed-detecting-tv initial instincts said old to me mate but similar modern ones can be googled. It looks crude enough on the design and shape to be medieval though. Well done 👍
