I hope you feel better soon, I've become addicted to watching your recipes because they're so simple and clear. I made one last night and I might make this tonight.
I have never made a comment on RU-vid, but, because I follow you, and am inspired by your love ofFood that you to share with us all I have developed a fondness for you. Covid Is affecting everyone and I don’t like to see my “friends” get infected, something we are all trying to avoid. Wishing you a speedy and uneventful recovery, and a reminder to all your followers to mask up and get immunized.
Thank you for such a wonderful, delicious dish! My 91 year old mother loved it so much, that I need to make more! And she is a picky eater....so thanks again! 🥰🙏
I’m sorry to hear that you aren’t well but wish you a speedy recovery.. Love this recipe and knowing you did this vid while not feeling well, makes it so much more appreciated. Thank you so much 🙏
The eyes are the windows to the soul, Alberto. Your energy with Covid is amazing, but your eyes tell the truth of how you feel. Feel better, soon. Soup makes everything better.
This looks really wonderful! I will need to try this out. So sorry you got sick too. Those headaches are NO fun. Hopefully you will be over it quickly. Hang in there Albert! *SHARED*
I’ll be making this for dinner tonight! Thank you for putting out a video even though you’re sick. God bless I hope you get well soon and your symptoms stay mild💖🙏🏼
I made this soup tonight with the mixed grain rice and red lentils I had on hand. Red bell pepper and used vegetable broth because I am tying to find some meat free recipes to keep in my repertoire. This soup is definitely a keeper. Thank you for posting it.
Albert please take care of yourself so you feel better soon. Ijyst bought yesterday brown lentils-what a coincident. Love your easy good explained and very budget friendly recipes and since you lived in California where i live-i have a lot sympathy for You. get better with your cold.
Albert: *_I❤LENTILS!!!_* Delicious! I've made this before (±)... yours just seems to come out better.😋 A WILL-make. Also, take care of yourself - we're hanging in there for you. Thanks again! (Fan from San Francisco, California.) *!!~
I love the simplicity of your recipes. Most of the time, everything I need to make them is already in my fridge or my pantry. I can't wait to give this one a try. I've never put bell peppers or paprika into lentil soup before. I hope you feel better soon! Get some rest!
Oh, baby, NO! Not Covid! I will put you on my prayer list and pray for you to get better soon. I have been looking for a lentil soup recipe just this week! Your timing couldn't be better. I have made several of your recipes and LOVE them! Feel better!
Thank you for a great recipe and video. Being Italian, I’m very familiar with Lentil soup and use to make this for my Dad all the time. This is a great version and will be making this soon, I need to get the lentils. Hope you feel better, stay well!
👍🏻Thanks to talented creators like you I don’t think I will ever run out of new recipes to try. I am happy I found your channel it has so much to offer. I make RU-vid cooking videos too! I love learning new things from talented creators like you!! I’d love to learn more from you!
Oh, no! Sorry you got Covid! Thanks so much for thinking of all your followers who love your recipes, and for giving us another great one even though you are not feeling well. Please take care of yourself!
I hope you feel better soon. I make your other lentil recipe with potatoes all the time but this also looks very good especially the spinach in there is very refreshing. Will try it this week for sure.
Hey bro, when I had covid. Nutrient dense foods all cooked down in the same pan and broth in this style.... Made me "AND MY SON" kick covid's ass. You know what you're talking about man.
I hope you have a swift recovery. We're going through the virus here too. More than half the folks we know are struggling with it. A simple hearty soup is just perfect. From Winston-Salem, NC.
This dish is very close to a dish called "Bisi Bele bath" (translates to hot lentil rice dish) that is prepared here in Karnataka (an Indian state). Only difference is we use tamarind instead of tomatoes for the tangy taste and the spice mix is actually a mixture of 10 different spices, which would up the antioxidant power like crazy! 😁 These simple heart-warming bowls of rice are the best kind!
I think you should give yourself a few days off, my friend. But if you don’t, making yourself meals like this love in a bowl, is the way to go. Feel better soon! 🤗
Best wishes on a quick recovery Al. Recipe looks great. Going to try it tomorrow. The downside about living in FL. is that these houses are not set up to deal with cold weather. Last night it was 34°. Will probably make it for breakfast tomorrow.
I could tell you aren’t feeling well. You’re subdued. Covid breakthrough cases need to be taken seriously. I had one mid-Sept (after both vaccines), and I was exhausted, bone-tired, for two weeks. Please take care of yourself. The soup is definitely going into my rotation.
Every time this man's video's pop up. It's ingredients I have on hand. The simplest ingredients are always the best!🖤💛❤ I'm really starting to love this man.
I just made this using chicken broth and red lentils as that was what I had on hand. This soup is so comforting and nutritious on a snowy Colorado day. Thank you, Albert. Get better soon.
Sorry to hear you're sick. As for your recipe, it looks aMAzing! There's nothing like lentil soup in the winter, and it's one of my go-to recipes when it's cold. Thank you for showing different spices to use instead of using poultry seasonings (it is soooooo yummy that way, too).
I hope you are better soon Albert. Thanks for making and posting videos, even if you aren't feeling 100%. I'm addicted to watching them! 😂 and trying the recipes. 😋 Take care of yourself. 😘
To start, let me say I love lentil soup: Italian, French, Portuguese versions and now the Spanish version which I found to be quite tasty this evening. The only change I made was to use Chicken Stock for the liquid. (Didn't want to suffer from a vegetable overload) I can't wait until breakfast tomorrow to dig in anew.
Hope you feel much better soon, I know how you feel I had it just after Christmas... it's miserable! I love your delicious recipes, thank you for sharing them with us.
Here’s hoping you are feeling better soon. We watched this video yesterday and She Who Must Be Obeyed suggested she would make it today. She did (granted, using a bit of broth from a pork roast as well as vegetable bouillon and water) and we really enjoyed it. It’s very tasty. She made double the recipe, so after lunch we have a good bit of leftovers. This is being added to the list of “keeper” recipes. Thanks!
Be well soon Alberto. Yes that delicious soup is going to make you feel stronger for sure. Kudos to you for cooking while sick. Sending warm wishes from sunny Florida, USA 🙏🏼🧡
Great dish. My grandmother used to make a variation of this with she would add shrimp to at the end. But the recipe is almost identical. Get well soon, Alberto.
Che paisanet. Qué a propósito me ha venido esta receta. Hemos tenido una tormenta de nieve en Albuquerque, NM y temperaturas de -12C así que hoy domingo me tienes preparando las lentejas. Muchas gracias.
Salute, love your beautiful videos, I'm Hispanic and so loving your most yummy recipes, I'm making your roasted red pepper and white beans humous today, I'm loving humous so much 🤗 too!! Shalom blessings my friend, enjoy this Easter Season!!
Here's hoping you get better soon. I just discovered your channel a couple days ago and I'm loving your content. I also just got through my own bout of covid and although it was mild, the first few days really had me down. You did an awesome job on the video while dealing with that!
Chef Albert I made this tonight, really delicious. There are some ingredients I added, I know you are not a fan of. I had some things I wanted to use up so I added some celery and red bell pepper to the vegetables. I had a little sausage I wanted to use, diced and sauteed and added. I used chicken stock instead of vegetable. I added a splash of Worcestershire, and hot sauce. I used basmati rice because that's what I have. You need to mention how many people this recipe feeds because it makes a lot and we will have it again tomorrow night. Hope you are feeling better.
