Your hair never looked like 4C, rather 4A/4B. And the weight of longer hair causes it to hang a bit more stretched out. So I don’t think heat training has changed your curls. Appreciating your videos. Gorgeous, healthy, straightened natural hair.
Your hair before didn't look 4c, it looked 4a/4b. The only difference now is that your hair is longer so the curls are more stretched out. The ends are definitely heat damaged though.
That’s exactly what I was going to say. It never looked like 4C, rather 4A/4B. And the weight of longer hair causes it to hang a bit more stretched out.
I didn't say my hair was 4C for views! People have been commenting on my videos saying my hair was 4C when I big chopped. Also, I got a recent comment on my video where someone commented saying I went from 4C to 4A, 3C hair since I've been heat training, so I was trying to get other people's opinions on my hair type. I don't need to lie to get views, I work hard on my videos and I take pride in being honest!
Your hair was never 4c, and that was clear even in the big chop video. I have realised from watching these types of videos (especially the older videos) when the uploader ask what's their hair type a lot of commenters would say its 4c even though its clearly not. Now we have reached a point when women with hair like yours which is straight up 4a, claim to have 4c hair there is a lot of backtalk about "you're claiming 4c hair for views" or "women with looser hair taking up 4c spaces". This is why I dont even bother with the curl typing thing, you cant win with these people.
You have beautiful hair and it seems to take well to the care you put into it. As the comments say that hair typing system is based on curl diameter, not how it looks when it’s dehydrated or frizzy but who cares anyway! Your hair looks amazing
Do you use bonding treatment, when women say this, I tell them that do they have these: 1. Bentonite Clay or Rhassoul Clay (you will never have heat damage), use it with As I am scalp shampoo, you will never have heat damage 2. Buy L'Oreal bond treatment kit- prewash, shampoo, condition 3. Deep conditioning product Rather than heat try "Cool blasting" your hair
