One of my favorite internet urban myths is Heavy D wrote Big Poppa for Biggie cause BIG didn't know how to write songs for chicks yet. Prolly a lie cause BIG is my GOAT but Hev GOT RAPS
I love how Heavy D embraced being a sexy big man he was so light on his feet, his music is epic, and the fabric he was cut from they don’t make it no more…I will forever love this cut it’s for sure on my daily playlist R.I.P Heavy D🙏🏾❣️
@@jaycesmith7899The silliness of this statement. It's an overall respect towards the gender that provides love, life, sustenance, and nurturing to the next generation. Women do deserve respect as a whole. You don't often hear women trashing men because we run into bad individuals. Those who do are the exception and we deserve to be respected as well.
@@carbonf2051 Shiiiid, the devil is a lie! Also, men provide life as a woman is a vessel for said life. My body, my choice is a statement often used by women who chose to delete said life provided by a man's sperm. If life was so important, then why did women in certain states this past Tuesday go out in droves vote to keep baby deleting as an option. The only women that deserve respect are the ones who are responsible and take accountability for their own actions and carry themselves in a ladylike manner. The girl code and simps are the reason 304's and quality women ladylike women are not distinguished because they are women and must be put upon pedestal just because despite their fkery. Sorry if your sensitivities have been put upon because I don't glorify the sis tahood as you do.
as a big fan of Biggie I can agree. Especially since originally Biggie was street and didnt wanna do all that Big Poppa stuff but regardless he came before Big
Not to mention Heavy D didn’t have to drop one cuss word he kept swear words out of his mouth when he rapped he should show rappers today how it’s done rapping without cussing music today is trash rappers today degrading women calling them the b word but Heavy D didn’t do that when he rapped he should’ve gotten his flowers when he was here if he was here I’d love to see a vs battle he would have destroyed rappers today R I P Heavy we miss you bro
R.I.P. Heavy D! We haven't forgot about you! This guy got me hype about rap music over 37 years ago when I was still a tiny squirt & his music & smooth moves live on forever. He's probably in Heaven entertainin' people!
Me too. I loved this song when it was released but it just never really blew up. Loved Hev too. His music is apart of my childhood soundtrack. He's greatly missed. R.I.P
You can tell where LL Cool J got most of his swag and flow from. If you close your eyes and didn't know better you would almost think this was an LL track. Heavy D was the original mack daddy rapper, on that smooth playa shit....
I was so blessed to be able to enjoy an era of music like this classic RIP Heavy D. I'm a 70's baby so the 80s & 90s in my opinion had the best music. Today's music seems to lack creativity and soul. Of course this generation like today's music because it's about sex, drugs, money. Mindless music. Now don't get wrong, back in the day gangsta Rapp was trash and I didn't listen to it. I loved that feel good Rapp and Hip Hop, and this man pioneered it like the genius he was.
I was born at the break of hip-hop dawn, 1980 to be exact; and I feel every word your saying. Although I can't say I dismissed gangster rap completely... I bumped the hell outta Snoop's Doggystyle and still consider it to be one of the greatest rap/hip-hop albums of all time.
You betta dance boy! Do y'all hear this!?!?! Talk to me babyyy 😍🎶❤ This high yella rhyme spittn teddy bear loved his ppl, the sistas especially. He had us sistas goin. He knew how to act and how to treat the Queens. I appreciate that. Bruthas of all ages ought to take a page from his book. Man I'm glad this mood was captured on video so I can revisit this place in time for eternity. Thanks Big Daddy. ❤SIP Heavy D My King❤
No way you coming out of this without doing a 90s bounce. This is a certified classic especially for the sistas. Talk to me Big Daddy!!!! ❤SIP Heavy D❤
Kids now a days are spending money they havent earned, on things they dont need, to impress people they dont even like!!!!! Back then we were broke so music was all we had. Thats all we needed. Thank you Heavy for supplying the beats.
I loved how Heavy D danced and enjoyed himself. the melody from his song Big Daddy is the same l melody I hear on Case Touch Me Tease Me and on Biggie song Big Papa they just changed up the speed and added a different bump to it instead of sharp they made it more base plus Heavy D with the brim and cigar and look at Biggie same outfit up to date Big Papa brim cigar just I never seen Biggie danced Music industry just keep recycling beats.
Heavy D was smooth with his words. Knew how 2 dance. He ddn't just stand still. His music is better than music dats out 2day. I wish he was still alive 2day.
One of the greatest. When my daughter was 3 she would be sitting in the back seat of our car bouncing to this song throwing her hands up. She loves this song to this day. Miss this time and music.
That dance at 4:05 is all you need to do when you hear this jam. Anybody that grew up with hip-hop in the 90s will wanna do it with you including me 😆 thank you Heavy D 🙏🏾
To bad hip hop right now doesn't sound this good because this man is a legend who made hits. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017
RIP Heavy D you brought smoove music to the game. Know one will be able to compare to what you did for hip hop in general. You weren't old school or new school, you had your own lane and mastered it like a genius.
