We all know single rep flows with light weights aren't going to build you much muscle.
And it seems there is a huge trend to throw them out there as creators. This is a heavy kettlebell workout using complexes and laddering down reps to create a substantial full-body stimulus.
Lift something heavy.
Build some muscle.
Do it again and again.
You'll see what happens.
Try this Firebreather Kettlebell Complex at least 4-5 times as a less than 30-minute heavy kettlebell workout.
Each set. equals 50 reps of glute working mayhem!
7 Dead stop kettlebell swings
7 two handed kettlebell swings
6 two handed kettlebell cleans left

That's power endurance right there, I know its unrelated to your channel but it'll be cool to see you mountain bike through a helmet cam, also I've been swinging a 45lbs kettlebell everyday I do 30 rep sets totalling around 150 swings everyday, so far I can do this everyday without taking time off but I got a few spasms in my back is there a way to fix them or do they disappear on their own. Thank you love your content it's very motivating.

Love Joe’s workout ideas. I’ve introduced my trainer to Joe’s Page, and he’s building my workout around the Hellion. Starting with an 8Kg and double 6kgs. Working through swing, snatch, hi pull, clean and press. Upping the reps at each week’s training which I then work on during the week.

Thank you, I did 3 rounds with a 28kg/61lb kettlebell. I substituted swings for the cleans as I'm building up my confidence. My whole upper body is sore today. It's an awesome workout!

Trapped in my apartment and all I have is a 50# kettlebell. Already ran through all the routines I usually do so thanks for a new idea. Most of the routines on RU-vid aren’t designed for a heavier KB.

Question Joe-why wouldn’t you start with the hardest exercises ie high pull and o e arm swings and then do the double swings with pause etc last? Keep up the good vids too!

the double pause swings are the most challenging as far as energy usage and breathing. it sets the stage for the firebreather!

Another good one boss. Are there shoes you would recommend for workouts like this with kettlebells and/or a CrossFit workout?

Absolutely. Great question. Anything minimal with wider toebox and zero drop. I id love to get a pair of the vivo barefoot. Ive had several newbalance minimus shoes. Ive used reebok crossfit.trainers. I like vibram 5 fingers for certsin mobility and movement stuff. Or withKB sport, weight lifting. Shoes are good to provide a strong connection to the ground. No squish.

Quick question. I have done kettlebell lifting on and off over the last few years but noth8ng serious and I staryed having shoulder problems. I got to where I couldn't even do one arm presses. I had to stop lifting all together and just do stretching and mobility exercises until the pain finally went away. I recently started a kettlebell program and when I was swinging the 55lb bell with double hand swing I felt a slight pain 8n my shoulder. I suspected maybe I wasn't doing a good job of keeping my shoulder in the socket so the next swing session I dropped to 35 lbs two hand swings and focused on keeping shoulder in the socket but when I do that it feels very unatural and alonst very stiff and machanical. Is it supposed to feel that way or am I over exaggerating it? I am frustrated because I just want to donmy swings and presses and be done with it but I feel like every time I get going I have shoulder issues.

I am lucky I have a home gym during all this social distancing. I have a 48lb kettlebell as my max. So I am doing 4 in 14 minutes. It is hard! Well at least through all this I realized it's time for a bigger Kettlebell. 😄👍

Me and my wife bought a new house last year and I ditched my member ship and started working out exclusively with kettle bells in my garage, with the exception of an Olympic bar and some plates for deadlifting. It's insane how much my functional strength has increased.

Any specific workouts or playlist you recommend for competitive mma workouts/conditioning? I'm thinking about getting a 90 pound lb to start with, thanks in advance

Id go much less weight than that. Perhaps Half of it. You want to maintain if not promote mobility for mma/bjj. And a 90 lb kbell is probably not gonna give you that. You'll have to stay incredibly tense for any exercise other than swings with a 90 lb bells. I have have workouts that will benefit you if you search the Playlists on this channel for kettlebell workouts. Unless you want to go personalized programming. Also look at the COMPLEXES playlist

What's the official opinion on slightly bent arms in a 2 arm swing?

My opinion is its the right way to swing. Allows more muscle use and less ligament stress on elbows. Keeps weight a bit closer to body similar to clean and snatch path. But...... Do sets of both. Thats the beauty.

@@kettlebellmusclegain thank you for the reply. I find that when I try really pack and use my lats, my arms will be slightly bent. Trying to straighten them makes me lose that lat feeling so I'm happy to hear it's not inherently wrong.

48 kgs, awesome! I can do 24 kgs swings with one hand, but it doesn't translate into being able to lift 48 kgs with two hands 😄 Of course, I'm half the size of this guy, both, vertically and horizontally and probably twice his age 😂. But, it's a realistic goal to handle the 48 kgs kettlebell and I'm working to achieve it! What's not realistic is lifting a 75 kgs kettlebell to the shoulder with two hands and then do a one arm press like this guy Victor Blud. To top it off, the dude is not the typical huge russian since he is 5'9" and 185 lbs!!!

I reckon you could do yourself some injury moving around like this. None of the movements are natural. Throwing that kettlebell upwards and putting pressure on either side. Not natural at all. You're a young man, you can get away with this for the moment. You screw your back up, you will wish you never bothered.
