It's not just heavy equipment auctions Wade...I have lost at auto auctions, estate auctions, government auctions....basically every kind of auction I have ever bid in....won a few and got a bargain but few and far between.....and didn't always have your upbeat attitude but that is what makes you and your videos winners . Thanks for posting
Well Tater we wish you well!. That’s a lot of work your right on them low boys !. But we know you’ll do a fine job. Long haul too . G-man was telling Me that every Peterbilt he’s ever had has damn play in the wheel it must be a Peterbilt thing. Only thing he hates about them. Motor easy trucker/ logger . 🙌🏽❤️🙏🏽
I sold a 2016 peterbilt and went back to my old 87 379. The day they say i have to have a modern engine is the day i retire. All the elogs are are the mega carriers trying to put the little guys out of business.
Awesome video, listening to that caterpillar per climbing Mount Eagle brought back memories I’m about 10 years ago when I was driving and O2 Pete with a six NZ cranking 550 hp with 355 gears I puled mt eagle many a time.
Having fun with that comic book Truck driver HAHAHA. That book reminds me of when I ran 2 to 3 of them. My how times have changed in 30 yrs. Great JOB!. I really do like our channel and keep up the good work.
Greetings from No VT - Wade, once you drop a 48" x 100' white oak tree across it on it on the up side you should be OK! Seriously, once you do the rehab it will be better than new and will give you service for many years so don't beat yourself up too much.
Glad you got ur trailers an comin home an don't worry bout the trailer u can fix it and once u rest alil an it's at shop with u u'll figure out just how to fix it u the smartest logger I know an dam if u not the busiest to logging repairs saw mill father and husband an son an friend I'd be in the nutt house tryn to remember everything that u do my hats off to u sir thank you for all u do an always making the most of what u got. Ur definitely a successful guy. Appreciate u sir thank you.
Hahaha...! Fred Sanford...? I have not heard that name in a hundred years. Used to watch that show with my mom & dad, that and "All in the family" we're there favorite's. Sir you have made my day, making me remember those times, thank you. I have seen your work, those trailers will be like new in no time. Great video. Look forward to the up coming videos of the work on those trailers. Thank you sir...
Thanks for the ride along Wage, I enjoyed all three videos. Don’t beat yourself up over the bent trailer, you will get it fixed and it will be better then new. Also it will make some good repair videos. Glad you had a safe trip.
We’ve been through WV, Tn, Ky, Oh, Ks, and Mo. while traveling from Virginia. We try to travel in early morning or late night. Over the last 10 years the rest areas and truck stops have been filling up with trucks. The last couple years it’s hard to find a place to park even a little ass 4 wheeler.I feel for all the OTR truckers.
My boss for some reason loves buy that auction stuff from them and he does it from the computer and never goes there and we are a multi million dollar company and that junk comes out on job and last for couple days and the the fixing starts and never ends !!!!!
You know what you're doing. It is TOUGH to untwist those beams. Cut em out and over manipulate those webs. It's overcompensation, tack weld, and hope it sets straight. You got some work but it won't be as bad as you think. Cheers Wade! Good vidja!!!
Looks like you got yourself some weekend work lined up anyway. My 98 Pete with a big Cat the fan doesn't even kick on until it hits 217 degrees. When I got it I took it to Cat to get reset because I thought that was a bit warm but they said nope that's where it runs best but when it kicks on the temperature sure drops fast.
There was an auction here in Northern Michigan on Dec 19th. 10 degrees, windy, snowy. Everything wen't a full price, place was packed. Lol - everyone was in full bibs/snowmobile suites haha - Auctions seem to be better for the sellers than buyers these days.
Another great vidja driver!! Glad you made it home, looking forward to the next vidja, kids the family and go to bed!! Wake up and spend the day away from work, hang out with mommy and the kids!! Be safe and God Bless!!!
I’ll tell you up Wade that old Pete sounds good with them Jake brakes and looks good to. I bet y’all will be glad to get back home. Well y’all have a safe trip back home and as usual a great video brother
Like the content, I remember a few years back running down there to pick up an auction buy for a friend and when we got there it was gone. Spent most of the day trying to find out what happened. My friend was furious and my laughter at the situation didn’t help. 👍
Mount eagle is a pretty good climb and decent. We go around when we can, been a few trucks over the years that burn on that hill. I like that red lowboy you got, not to much wrong with it?
Cool video been a long time since I did that kind of driving, had to laugh when you showed your " comic book " no name no date nothing but plenty of hrs to drive trucking use to be fun but with company's going with paper-less logs & e-logs they took all the fun out
Hahaha thanks Brad I seen this and had to chuckle I called My DOT buddy when I got home told him I'm going to bed in the morning my log book will make it home
Welcome home buddy old boy😂 it always feel so good to get home after a long journey. The best part of the whole trip was? Listening to that kitty cat 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😖 man alive those c15-6nz’s dang old girls are nice.
So for an extra 10K, you could have bought a new unit and have no worries. There are lots of deals at the factory direct. Sometimes they have a new unit that was never sold (and of year) that you can get for a steal.
At the end of the day when trying to settle down after farming and running a feed business, there is nothing like a logger wade vidja to ease the tension and make me laugh.
I had the same experience at Richie brothers. I bought a 55 ton drop deck . Like you said it was worth what I paid for it, but it wasn’t no big deal/discount lol. That was two years ago so this last one I bought at the dealership. It was one that was left over for the previous year. Got a good deal on it. It’s just the luck of the draw I guess lol.
I got to about 4-5 auctions a year and what I find is the better deals can be found at small auctions and estate auctions. The big sales just attract too much competition .
my buddy ritchie is a good friend of mine from nova scotia that owns that auction every location hes great guy his cousins runs the other ones in states
Michael Mac Tavish if you’re referring to Ritchie bros auctions , no one from the original family is from out east lol the company and family resides in BC ...
@@bmc680 he has few odd family in states wich where my gf is for now until she comes home to canada in the summer hopefuly if she dont get called back to the military fields
“You know me and serious we are good at serious” as he drives through a stop sign 😂😂😂 o well useless stop sign anyway wth that thing was even doin there 🤷🏼♂️
I wish only one item I buy at auction, could turn out good enough to make junk. Just one time, always looks way better there. But get it home and its scrap iron. But on the bright side, that left turn signal was good.
There was inadequate truck parking 20 years ago. Then they mandated long shut down periods. Glad I am out of it, and it hurts to think of the ones suffering thru this. Seen where many are fined for running out of hours in areas where there is nowhere to shutdown.
looks like you got a buy on the red trailer! you already have demonstrated that you definitely have the skills to fix the black one, just a matter of when you get the time too! thats just the luck of an auction, you know; sometimes you bite the dog, and sometimes the dog bites you!!!!! stay safe friend!!!!
God wade the lights seem terrible on your truck!!!just looked pitch black on camera with an annoying flashing beacon reflecting on top of window!!!👍🏻👍🏻😂🇬🇧
you've got your work cut out for you. looking forward to the videos on the repairs. Ill be looking for a lowboy soon for my personal use and probably buy something that needs some work unless im able to work a deal on one from the company i work for.
I feel like it's already hard here in Australia to get something decent from auction even for motorbikes and cars so I would think it would be twice as hard when it comes to heavy equipment.
you are right .I more than 1 way ,,.... at 28 trucks a mile on the interstate = 7,600 trucks from Memphis tn. and st. louis mo. with 1,500 to 2,000 parking places for trucks ,,,,.. DO NOT WATE FOR NIDNIGHT FOR PARKING THERE IS NUN
Been across Mt Eagle alot. Respectable mountain going east when heavy. Yer gonna have to talk Dirt Perfect into springin fer a new trailer to use with his dump trk. Keep up the good videos. Stay safe.
Wade I'm afraid you've tooken on a very big project with that trailer getting fixed. I hope you're not planning on cutting an welding a new flange into the middle of that trailer? Cause if so you'll make a big weak spot.
I use to haul pipe for a company that had a 444 cummins a 13 speed and 411 rears and nobody in the company including big motored petes and kw's could out pull that old raggedy international
