@@SonySlasher2468 the point where we knew Kazuya had fallen so far he was literally just amused by how chaotic and evil the blood feud was, was when he found out his own mother hired Akuma to kill him to stop the devil gene. @@fruitylerlups530 well it's the hachijo clan were ones corrupted the mishima bloodline. Now jun kazama is trying cleanse her family from the devil gene curse.
Tekken is basically someone trying to stop a greater evil but became one themselves: Kazumi tried to kill Heihachi because he'll be a ruthless dictator in the future - which made him snap that he became what he is. Heihachi tried to kill Kazuya because he potentially has the Devil Gene like his mother - which only aggravated Kazuya to turn more evil to fight him. Kazuya tried to kill Heihachi for what Heihachi did to his mother - only for him to be the Devil like her later on. Jin tried to kill Kazuya to get rid of the Devil Gene - only for him to wage war against all nations that ruined many lives.
Heihachi was always a Mafia/Yakazuya type leader. So he was never good. He went from bad, to worse. Jinpachi was possessed by evil spirit even before the whole Kazumi thing. The only good part of the family comes from the kazma part. The Mishima fighting style is basically karate made for killing. Sure he was getting a little softer before the death of his wife, but ending the zaibatsu (Mafia Organisation) was never on the agenda. Is why his wife ultimately decided to end him, as he would have ended up a dictator anyway.
@@carloscristero Jinpachi was alive and well during Kazuya's early childhood (T5 Kazuya ending) meaning he was imprisoned by Heihachi AFTER Kazumi tried to kill Heihachi when Kazuya was a year old. @@carloscristero Heihachi wasn’t always evil, he became what he is cuz of Kazumi, it’s safe to say he was just a strict and cold martial artist with a loving heart but Kazumi’s betrayal made him become everything she was trying to stop from her vision. That’s so Raven…
Well if he did kill Kazuya there, he'd just live with the regret. But i think as a father he is somehow relieved that his son lived but at peace in knowing that his son really is a devil
This story was shoehorned to make Heihachi look good but tragic character in his last ever tekken story appearance. I wont believe they thought of this from the beginning.
@@nike_toki7ify I agree. Heihachi was clearly meant to be a villain with few to none redeeming qualities or motives in the firsts installments of the series. His backstory (as well as Kazuya's) was retconned in the latest games to fit this new narrative.
An episode of Ranma used this as a joke pointing at how ridiculous it is. A priest possessed of an ogre tied up Ranma, and threw him into a deep pond to prove if he wasn't possessed of an ogre. If Ranma died, then he was innocent. If he lived, then he was possessed xD Amazing how Heihachi is trying to use this faulty logic as justification of his abuse towards Kazuya (and Jin).

I'm actually amazed how few people even consider that Heihachi is lying here. Other than one saying it was a blatant retcon. I mean, it is, but it makes more sense for the Heihachi we've known in every game before 7 to leave a sappy, tragic story before he dies. I might be giving the story too much credit, but if he is lying, I like the idea that he convinces the world that he was the hero when he was the most inexcusable villain, even placed next to the goodamn devil.
Heihachi was trying to paint himself as a hero before he dies in his Final Showdown against his son, Kazuya. He believes that if he revealed the secrets of the tragedy of the Mishima to the world, he would probably convince the world to decide whether or not they wanted to exterminate the Devil Gene by executing witch hunts against Jin and Kazuya.
It's not just the prophecy they feared it's the potential the mishima family bring to change the fate of people around them. Their blood line or their power origins can be trace all the way to raijin the thunder god. The hachijo felt terrified or trouble how a single family can be dominate, change or end the fate of global powers. So whether the prophecy is true or not, the mishima family is a demigods who can fight fate.
@@MrDibara It was the director that messed it up, the voice actor is okay and wanted to do it differently but made him do it like that. (He is also the stage announcer) Since they were Japanese maybe it didn't sound as bad to them but yeah. Weird choice.
Heihachi thought that killing his family members with the devil gene could have saved the world but in reality i think he's the one who made Kazuya evil, if he showed the same love that Jun has done with Jin,maybe the Mishima family would be more different than now.
Um you do realise that Jin started World War 3? Sure he did it to summon Azazel, kill him and then get rid of the Devil Gene or at least kill himself. But not only did Jin survive this, his Devil Gene still remains and Azazel still survived in spirit forcing Zafina to seal him inside her. Not to mention all the irreversible damage he did and all innocent lives he took were all for nothing. In other words despite Jun's teachings Jin still committed evil for intentions which weren't even worth it in the end.

They could've and should've worked together to rid the world of the Devil Gene. However keep in mind that Heihachi was already traumatised from killing Kazumi and hesitated to kill Kazuya and only did it after little Kazuya wanted revenge for his mother. @@ninjasolarteam I think that's only half true. I think Azazel was the first devil that roamed around earth then he had a child with someone who either is a member of the Hachijo clan or founder or the child itself became the first and founding member of the Hachijo clan. Either way Azazel was responsible for the Hachijo clan's foundation by conceiving the first devil/human hybrid child who would later become the first and founding member of the Hachijo clan. And over the years more members of that clan would move to Kyoto and have more offsprings. Don't ask me why that family would become assassins. Perhaps for the same reasons as Zafina's clan. Both groups originated from Egypt after all.
So Hachijo clan tried to kill Heihachi because he was a potential world-ending threat? Funny how their attempt not only failed but also made things MUCH WORSE. He was a pretty chill guy and these demonic jackasses just took a gigantic steaming dump on his whole life.
We can say that Hachijo Clan created him.. In the flashback it looked like a normal martial artist without evil intentions.. Also it took some years after Kazumi dead to Heihachi seal Jinpachi. Probably when he saw that his son changed tried to make something and ended sealed.

Alright then. Why did he starve his father to death,at least Kazuya was unconscious when thrown off the cliff,Jinpachi was imprisoned suffering under a rock for presumably weeks, you have to be sick in the head to do this, granted seeying your turn into a devil in less than a second might do the trick,he also shoot Jin who trusted him like a father,he awakened Ogre who ended up killing many fighters and attacked Jin and Jun,he killed Michelle's father for the amulet because he wanted power, abused Kazuya who was rightfully angry before knocking him out leaving him with a giant scar. And finally I am going to use Haradas statement,he actually said that for the story he wanted to find an origin a way to make him evil, while I don't think he is evil it clearly shows Tekken 7 is the origin story to why Heihachi became an asshole and that's where Kazumi fits in.And yes he did in a way start the war,if he hadnt made Kazuya the way he became the war wouldn't have started,he caused Jins and Kazuyas devil genes to awaken.
I’m surprised he just didn’t even asked Kazuya not to be evil or whatever. But then again, Heihachi isn’t that Thule of father we’re he cares enough to think twice if what else he could do instead of throwing his son off a cliff. At least he was being honest and was willing to tell the story of the past of Kazumi’s Death and Kazuya getting the cliff (at least he wasn’t lying though and was telling everything that happened in full detail)
I don't know why but Heihachi reminds me Itachi and Danzo in many ways because even thow he sacrificed his family in order to save the world he truly was a villain by wanted to conquer it and using Jin and especially the Devil gene for his own purposes. Definitely one of the best written characters in animation history and it won't be the same if he doesn't appear in Tekken 8.( It's understandable but still...)
It’s always the same story with different people. “They have to die because they are a threat.” Well here’s a saying, “A threat is only a threat when given reason to become one.” When Kazumi attempted to kill Heihachi, that’s when he was given reason to become a threat to the world. When Heihachi tried to kill Kazuya, Kazuya became a threat to Heihachi. It’s a whole self-fulfilling prophecy.

It's either (1) Heihachi was lying, at least partly; or (2) he really did love Kazumi that much to the point that him having no choice but to kill her changed him for the worse, which also led to Kazuya and Jin to this chain of hatred
Given that he also killed his own father for no other reason than "he was too nice to Kazuya", I'm willing to bet he's lying or manipulating the truth. He killed his wife, his father, his son and his grandson (and those of them who came back did because of unnatural reasons, not because he was going soft on them or anything). Heihachi has killed or triggered situations that end up with people being dead many times before for his own gain. There's nothing but his word to prove that he isn't a power-crazed abusive and charismatic old man. Being betrayed by the love of your life in such a brutal way like this one would leave anyone irrevocably damaged for the rest of their existence. Heihachi is my favorite, i never once believed he was the bad guy back in teeken 4 when i was a kid cause my father told me he was the good guy in tekken, now, i still see it.
At this point, Heihachi has his father, Jinpachi, locked up underneath their estate. He was bringing Mishima Zaibatsu back to its war mongering ways, making weapons and selling them. This is why Kazumi thought that she had to continue the mission because Heihachi was fueling war from everywhere and had his own father imprisoned.
I have a feeling that the Hachijo clan will play a huge role in Tekken 8 and Ryu will be introduced as a guest character from Street Fighter where hopefully he'll kill Jin for good.
That movie is not canon. However is pretty possible that Jin is capable to control the power of the gene since he was seen at the end of t7 with the marks appearing at his will.
If to base on Tekken 8's new trailer Shaheen scene.. This scene from Tekken 7 somewhat tells us that this mysterious guy is none other than Shaheen himself.
Heihachi and Kazumi are both at fault between his greedy ambitions and her sudden betrayal by her Devil. I like the way how this feud of the Mishima family is explained
What if heihachi was being spiritually attacked by demons but they were his demons making him kill everyone he loves. Making him see his own blood as demons? What if his greed and need for power was influenced by the devil?
@@Juanhernandez-zx7kt when he killed Jin and Kazuya, they were quick deaths. But with Jimpachi, he felt the need to give him a slow and painful death. Why ? Well, Jimpachi did say, before his imprisionment, that he needed to finish his bloodline. So, I'm guessing he did try to kill Heihachi, and, as revenge, he not only imprisioned Jimpachi and made him suffer, but stole everything that belonged to his father.
Kazumi is indirectly the main villian for the Tekken franchise. Heihachi is the victim. Heihachi is not a bad guy because of his actions he did because he was traumatized because of Kazumi
Now this makes entirely sense of Father's to husband's unexpected events of his own beloved bloodline ones of his wife Kazumi and only son Kazuya of he was trying to erase his sins of what he wished and hope that he could return to that time of why his own bloodline would be who he did not expected would be the persons differently than he already made family of yet it's already too late for him to get his own wife and child right now of they became. Yet it still doesn't makes sense why his wife was possessed by an evil spirit or have some kind of demon inside of her yet she Kazumi should have told Heihachi about it so it doesn't hurts him deeply of later on regrets in the future of he should have gotten it through of his life as why he has many sons like Lee Chaolan Lars Alexandersson and others as how are they even involved in this Tekken storyline differently from game story to some anime movies I already watched long ago to this new anime of Tekken Bloodline series
You know, this origin for Heihachi works better than most people realize it. Do you remember back in "Tekken 1" ? He said he wanted his son to be strong in order to be worthy of heiring his empire. And when Kazuya proved to be strong and worthy, what, Heihachi all out of the sudden decided in "Tekken 2" "Nope ! I don't want a heir. This is my empire.". Also, regarding his father's death, when he killed Jin and Kazuya, it was quick, but for some reason, he felt the need to make his father's slow and painful. Well, Jimpachi, before his imprisionment, did say he had to kill his own bloodline. If my father had tried to do that, I would have definitely made my father suffer before dying. Do you see where I'm headed with this ?
This fill a few gasp in his relationship with Jin and Lars too because Heihachi treated Jin like a true son (not Mishima's style) and not recieved the Kazuya's treatment until his battle with Ogre when probably was already aware of the devil gene in him in fact Jin Saw him like a father until that and with Lars its implied he was conceived a few time after his battle with Kazuya/Devil in Tekken 2 to make sure the Devil gene wasnt from him
Jinpachi only said that because he found out about what heihachi did to kazumi and kazuya, kazumi is understandable but for a kid like kazuya? Yeah he's having none of that and that's perfectly understandable. And lets not forget heihachi wanted devil gene for himself just so he could rules the world
Also i feel like heihachi kinda knew there was that chance he wouldn't come back fighting kazuya so he would try to explain what is kazuya or something. Tho wanting world domination is kinda well... Hard to cover in a way. Using the mishima zaibatsu to do that kind of thing then theres g corp n stuff. But different issues there lol.
Obviously it all started with Azazel. He basically created the Hachijo clan by sleeping with a human woman who then gave birth to the first devil/human hybrid child and that child would become the first and founding member of Hachijo clan. Then his descendents would move to Kyoto and have more offsprings. I do not know why Hachijo clan would become assassins focused on ending anyone who would pose a threat to the world. But I have a feeling that Zafina's ancestors had something to do with that. They did seal away Azazel after all and he claimed that the humans burned the world to ashes before he was sealed and again after he was freed.
@@zero1324r Who knows or cares? Some Egyptian woman maybe? 🤷♀️ As for Kazumi it's clear that she is part of a very long and extended bloodline that has it's roots back in Egypt. Basically she is a demonic and japanese version of Zafina.
Heihachi's outfit in the flashbacks really should have been like the longsleeved one from Tekken 1 since he tore the sleeves off while climbing the cliff Kazuya in before Tekken 2 for continuity. Also, you a fan of Liquid Tension Experiment? Noticed the username.
You can tell Heihachi really isn't that bad. Though he is a dick. No denying that. But he really had no choice. He wanted the devil gene to die. But now he's gone. But deep down he did care for Jin in his own way. He passed the torch to Jin and now it's his turn to kill Kazuya but will it be enough for him to stop what he's doing to help people despite all he's done...well....on that front idk.
"your clan is evil and must be destroyed!" ~Kazumi, groomed to kill Heihachi from youth >the Mishima Zaibatsu is still in Jinpachi's hands at this point in time where it's just doing it's job as a neutral megacorp (Zaibatsu =/= Yakuza) >Heihachi has no real temperament issues or destructive ambitions otherwise >a person whos lust for power and control was born from a place of betrayal at the most intimate of levels talk about a dumb bit of self-fulfilling prophecy. it's a hell of a retcon, but at least it actually provides Heihachi with real motivation? once again, Heihachi is the best told part of the kind-of-bad-overall Tekken Narrative. Kazumi's betrayal sets him down the path of seizing power and the Zaibatsu (invests in weapon development, etc.) from his father (this absolutely happened after Kazumi's attempt on his life), his abuse of Kazuya, who at this point he just sees as another potential monster who will be beset on killing him, and committing fully to a "might makes right" disposition. Tekken 1 and 2 he's facing the consequences of his actions when Kazuya throws him out and TRIPLES down on the violations and criminal activities of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Heihachi's almost just trying to clean up his mess, and chooses a particularly fiery way to do it. once Kazuya's out of the way he's back to ruling the Zaibatsu, committing odd acts of charity (raising Jin and basically sponsoring Xaioyu), establishing the Tekken Force and eventually investigating ways to use the devil gene from Jin and Ogre's monster blood to make immortal super soldiers (the Failed Devil-Human Integration Program), but as a revived Kazuya and Jin rise in power and escalate their conflict, Heihachi is basically left to recovery or cleanup duty from tekken 5 onwards, with his progeny going way further than he ever would have committed to. they even have his non-canon endings where he (and Kuma) attempt to eject Jin and Kazuya into space where they joke about finally disposing of them. it's complicated. he's not a good guy, and leans into shit that exasperates his worst traits and is obviously the cause of a majority of the conflict in the series but he's arguably not the worst of the bunch - for example, he wants to rule the world with the Zaibatsu, but still wants people in it to rule - Kazuya straight up tried to Freiza death-ball the planet in T8. Reina's a new point though. Since she's been confirmed as one of Heihachi's bastard children I'm going to hazard a guess that the Devil-Human Integration Program was restarted and she's the only successful subject from it, because good lord how do you explain *that* coming out of nowhere
So this explains the devil gene, which the recent anime failed to clear up. Now it's clear they're 2 different stories. Then this one is more canon as it's from the very game itself.
There are two things I wonder about in Heihachi's story about why he made the entire Mishima family cursed: First, the real reason why the entire Mishima family was assassinated by a long-standing assassin organization with demon blood, Kazumi, if based solely on prophecy, why did Jinpachi curse? He ran a famous and powerful corporation in his home country and around the world. This man once made mistakes, those things also seem to be known to the world and what he has contributed over the years to world peace certainly makes the Mishima family even more famous and respected. In the end, all he received in return was the betrayal of his unfilial son and the curse of becoming a devil by that family, Assassins, in the name of destroying threats to protect world peace, cursed a family devoted to world peace to turn into demons. Was the Hajochi family intentionally set up?Or are they just making one mistake after another? Second, is what Heihachi said ultimately mostly true? Up to now, the worst father in Tekken still makes people doubt his motives and defenses for his mistakes.Heihachi's relationship with his father is also a problem, the shock of being betrayed by Kazumi has corrupted him, but even so I don't think it's to the point of treating his good father badly. This may have been due to his controlling personality and selfish greed, which may have led to conflict between Heihachi and Jinpachi, this personality of his has not yet been revealed because he had a happy life with Kazumi for a short period of time, it was only after that fateful night that Heihachi revealed all his evil natures, two of which were cunning, trickery, and manipulation, all of which were passed on to Kazuya. Even the story he tells is for planning purposes from the media to create a positive image of the Mishima family while projecting a one-sided evil image on G Corporation
Heihachi started it all Taking over the mishima zaibatsu by taking out jinpachi Then kazumi tried to kill heihachi This created a snowball effect Since she became basically evil She condemned her son too Kazuya will have hatre towards his father and not only that In tekken 2 heihachi throw kazuya in the volcano Jun believing that kazuya died She will flee with jin 15 years later Heihachi had the chance to redeem himself But He still didn't change He tries to kill his own grandson Just to get more power The story got modify obviously in the latest games But heihachi was using everyone Except kazumi when kazumi his Light in his life became darkness He had no more reason to keep that soft spot in his heart
Yes because don’t forget Heihachi still talks half truths and lies. Besides Lars warned him that should he try to commit crimes and do evil again he’d end him heck if it weren’t for Alisa he would have gone through with it. Finally, if Heihachi had not betrayed his own father and seized power he would not have forced Kazumi’s hand. Yoshimitsu once said to Heihachi “Those who tread the path of evil shall face judgement eventually.”
@@ricardomarquez4351 actually Jinpachi was imprisoned after Kazumi's attempt. You can see Kazuya's flashbacks in Tekken 5 where he practices with him as a child.

to expound on that, I think him doing the interview was his last ditch effort in showing the world that Kazuya was the bad guy and to make the whole world aware that devils do exist and that G-corp is run by one
I’ll admit I was taken aback by this MAJOR retcon but it STILL makes sense. It seems as if Heihachi’s just been putting on this bravado “look how menacing and scheming I am!” All to try to bury his heartache he had losing someone he ACTUALLY gave his heart too. Dude seemed like he was gonna be a chill guy but Hachijo had to have their foreboding visions of destruction and inadvertently set off a chain of events that would lead to World War III in Tekken…whoops.
I think this devil gene is like a reminder of Kazumi. You might think thats the reason or excuse that Heihachi tried to kill his wife father son and grandson. Not just bcs it was something evil but also left a trauma for Heihachi
The Mishima family has been hunting down humans with devil genes and the devil clan inside Japan for generation. Heihachi though the devil genes remained dormant, but it wasn't and he realize it far too late that his wife kazumi is one of them. The reason he restarted his hunt.
Wait just a minute! How is it that you can kill somebody if they have the devil gene by breaking their neck but they survive if they got tossed off a cliff? 🤔 That makes no sense! 😝😂
@@mrwizzardknight the thing is kazuya has the devil gene and heihachi doesn't Despite have supernatural abilities And i think it has something to do with lineage Between the mishima,Kazama&Hajicho And kazuya stayed "dead" for 20 years It's normal he went insane/evil He had his dark side under control in tekken 2 He was with jun When heihachi came back and "killed" kazuya Jun flee with jin When kazuya woke up 20 years later He learns that jun is dead or atleast missing But the devil gene got more control on him Since it's his instinct that allowed him to survive
@@enterurnamehere27 Trying to justify Heihachi is like to say that Griffith from Berserk did nothing wrong while being serious at that statement. Heihachi is a big pos and that's it. I have yet to see someone justifying Heihachi imprisonment of Jinpachi. This guy was the only good Mishima.
@@enterurnamehere27 i read somewhere that jinpachi agreed with kazumi to kill heihachi. Maybe that's why he imprison his father but doesn't have the heart kill him. I blamed this solely on kazumi and her idiots clan.
Kazumi descendance are the ones who have the Devil Gene. Heihachi is Human with Superhuman skills.. Jinpachi was posessed for one Evil Spirit. For this his appearance is different compared with Kazumi, Kazuya and Jin and does not look like a devil.
Heitachi didn't need any devil gene to beat the shyt out of anybody. lol He just whopped ass. His attacks looked slow but it is extremely difficult to penetrate his defense, and his counterattack is difficult to block or defense against.
It seems to be from a certain lineage The mishima seems to be able to be receptive to the devil gene But they only have supernatural abilities The mishima seems to be able to be compatible but the kazama clan repel the devil gene There has to be some backstory between The mishima, kazama and hajicho I think jun might appear in the future installments What is odd is that kazuya has the pure power of the devil gene And he can control it He had it under control in tekken 1-2 I mean mentally Physically he always had control over it Where as jin is like a beast when he transform Despite being a descendant of the kazams
Heihachi is still a mortal. His father Jinpachi bonded with the fiend during his underground imprisonment thanks to his hatred, rage and thirst for revenge against his son.
@@AnhNguyen-hn9vj I REALLY wanted Heihachi to win in Tekken 8's story mode and end the whole devil thing. He actually defeated Devil Kazuya ( for the second time after Tekken 2 ) but his old age and battle fatigue caught up to him and base Kazuya finished him off.
Seeing as how the official Tekken 7 website was released before the game, I believe the website's description of this conflict is a cover-up, since how it's portrayed in the game IS a spoiler.
I killed my wife because she was in the way of my grind. "I thought you said you killed her because she was a demon." Oh yeah, that too. But the grindset was the real motive.
