Haleana and her kids were the truly only innocent ones on Team Green and what she suffered through because of this war was a tragedy. Even in the show, she’s the only Team Green character that I fully support, Aemond hasn’t done anything truly terrible yet but as a book reader I know what he WILL do and I can’t respect or like him for it. When Blood and Cheese does happen I will feel so sorry for her.

Helaena's death was foreshadowed in episode 4 when Alicent was holding her near the window. Helena is the only green I like in season 1. It's so sad what happens to her, she was innocent in this.

I don't even remember her character in season 1 I might need to go back and watch before season 2 but ever since they took my sexy Milly away I couldn't get into the show

Aegon did not realise that Aemond actions was gong to affect his family. 😂😂😂 Luce was not just their nephew but someone’s child. His death was going to be avenged. I look forward to blood and cheese. The greens are lucky that it was just a son for a son. It could have been a son for the life of all your family. I was pissed that Daemon did not just ask for that. He should have been ruthless and order the death of all Alicent’s children and grand children after Luce murder. The innocents always pay the price. Thanks to Alicent.

Fun fact the books while being written by a in universe author who is actively trying to make Alicent look as good as humanly possible instead makes her look like Cinderella's evil stepmom. Considering that an eighteen year old Alicent was likely spreading rumors that a nine year old Rhaenyra was not a uhh maiden... yes really.

What upsets me about all this, is that Daemon & Rhaenyra have a right to their revenge, but... Because the show made it look like Aemond One-Eye killed Lucerys ON ACCIDENT, this "Blood & Cheese" incident will once again make Team Black look dirty. 😒 And they already did Team Black dirty, having Daemon kill his 1st wife & choke Rhaenyra out too. Things he does NOT do, in the source material. So when "Blood & Cheese" happens, all we're gonna see is a bunch of Team Green whiners online, crying about how it's "not fair" Rhaenyra killed one of Aegon's kids, even though all us book readers know Aemond is a psychopath, who killed that boy on purpose, and then went home & BRAGGED about it. I'm already sick of these writers. 😩 lmao

@@jjh2456 - It's not disputed that Daemon didn't kill his 1st wife. He didn't! He was still out fighting in the Stepstones, when his 1st wife fell off her horse in an accident, and then died 9 days later from her head wounds. There were witnesses... so there is no trouble w/some "unreliable narrator" situation here. Nor for a lot of this stuff! It's the same w/Aemond One Eye killing Luc & then coming home & bragging about it. Their own maester was around recording people's reactions to these events. And to their credit, Otto & Alicent were actually horrified by Aemond's actions. Aegon was the only one who loved it, and even held a feast in his brother's honor for doing it. So no... not all of this stuff is unreliable narrator. Some things are just facts. 🤷🏻‍♀️😕 And yet the show literally went out of its way to make Daemon look bad. Even going so far as to cut footage that showed him being a loving father towards his children for some reason. It's like they weren't happy just leaving him as the morally gray character that he is... they just HAD to turn him into some mustache-twirling villain, and it's so lame. Daemon is definitely a rogue but he's not evil ffs. Even though he wasn't always the most faithful husband.... he never laid a hand on Rhaenyra that wasn't loving. Getting these characters right is important.

@@KabbalahSherry this is true. Changing the character of Daemon from flawed hero, or anti-hero, to straight out bad guy was a creative choice the writers and director made to "dumb down" the complicated love/hate relationships he really had in the books. Maybe it was to prepare the readers for his future antics, the unfaithful bits, and to actually have some on the side of the Greens. As for Aemon and his "accident", it would never be considered an accident. Like, if you have a dog you know can attack and kill, and you lost control of it, it is still your fault, not the animals. So I doubt Aegon will get any mercy from the Blacks and their fans. What does suck is that is was not Aemond who paid for the loss of Jacerys, it was Helena, who had no part in it nor did their children. The little boy was truly innocent and so was Helena, and even Aegon himself. So Daemon overstepped his revenge bit. IMHO.

Still breaks my heart that Helaena and Rhaenyra couldn’t just be sisters all because of the men in their lives…and Alicent…who is where she is because of the men in her life

"Duh showrunners want you to hate daemon" - yeah no shIt. He's a child killer who spits on his baby nephew's grave and later his Slay Kween wife forces that dead child's mother to committ suicIde. The heroes we need. It's not even funny how much more of a complex character Aegon is compared to them too.
