Don’t forget to engage that asphalt scraper ! Wire cutters and tree disconnector - go at throttle up.

Number 1... fantastic videos. Number 2 wish I lived closer to take you up.on the offer of instruction and Number 3............. wish I had my own helicopter to be taught in. But would happily move and work for free to learn to fly

Just found your videos, very nice. If there was an impending hot start, or Ng appeared to hang, how does one get the fuel control (throttle) back to cutoff? Is there a button similar to the 206 or MD-500 collar that must be pressed? Or can you simply rely on the FADEC to shut it down?
@adrionaviation
@adrionaviation 3 месяца назад
Thanks for the comment! So we do the alternate start procedure in our 430's, so we start each engine just like a 206, but without a cutoff detent. There is an idle stop in the 430 that you can either advance the throttle to before starting, and let the FADEC control the entire start (introduces fuel around 8-10% NG), or motor the starter like a 206/500 until desired temp/NG, the advance the throttle the stop. In the case of an emergency, you simply roll the throttle back to cutoff. Once running at idle, you'll see me click the electronic idle lockout either left or right for each engine, which allows you to advance the throttle, and then locks out cutoff during flight. The FADEC will shut down the engine under most emergency circumstances, but pilots should still be vigilant as this single channel FADEC system can fail.

HEy man, great stuff. Anthony Here from Australia. Music is good, but can we hear the the sound of the turbines spool-up/down as you introduce / remove fuel on stratup / shut down. Will sound well cooler.

Hey Anthony, thanks for the comment and checking out the channel! You got it, I'll get an outside cockpit one posted, and see if I can get some better audio on the next one I film! Andrew

Thanks for the comment, Tom! I actually didn't even notice it after a few hours in the aircraft. Initially I thought it would mess with me, but it's funny how quickly the brain adapts!

Nice video! What cruise speed do you see in the 430?
@adrionaviation
@adrionaviation Год назад
Thanks Hondo! Can usually get 135 knots in the skid ships and closer to 140 in the wheeled ship. Like your videos, Cali has some better scenery then Michigan! Don't have much time in Enstroms, but the 480B looks pretty cool. The 500 is a blast though!
@hondo500e
@hondo500e Год назад
@@adrionaviation That’s awesome. Thank you for checking em out. Yeah the 500 is my all time favorite. The enstroms are fun to fly but aren’t the fastest ships out there. The piston model cruises about 75-85 knots and the turbine is around 85-95 knots. They are super comfortable to fly though, they have high inertia rotor systems so you have to pretty much enter an auto to get them to come down.

Heck ya, mosquito with floats! No, I do offer free flight instruction in certain circumstances to people in the area to help give back and save people some money during flight training. Feel free to shoot me an email if you're interested!
