This is my first one with wheels. It's a fun change up from the skids on occasion. The wheel taxi can definitely get interesting with a little wind! Thanks for watching! What have you flown mainly during your career?

Excellent vid. As a 206 guy, I believe that all choppers should only have a single plank over head. :)

way years ago '91 . worked for DEC computers Digital had fleet of 12 Bell JetRangers II flew all over MA and NH .. got great awesome ride over dtwn Boston over Fenway Park strt into Boston Logan to catch my flight..rode upfront w headset.. so cool.. had lot ole Vnam guys pilots then incharge... was awesome.. was rly surprised at amt vibration was in there w blades just aboveyur head.. and pretty loud... miss the days

I enjoy your videos. 430 is the type I want to catch, great looking design and not many built. The cockpit looks from an airplane, what a weird collective grip! I think a walk around video would be great.

Thanks for the comment! It's a fun machine, reliable and smooth. The collective is very odd, but it's surprisingly easy to get used to. What are you flying currently? Appreciate the input, I'll get a walk around video up in the coming weeks!

how do these modern day Bells compare to older JetRangers ?

It's surprisingly similar, it's almost like starting up two Jet Ranger engines! It feels different in flight, but most Bell helicopters share flight characteristics!

So, cyclic forward to move, but presumably kept central side-to-side so less risk of rollover?

Correct! Dynamic rollover is definitely a concern with wheeled helicopters. I will put a crosswind correction in laterally if needed, but otherwise, I try to keep it relatively centered. Thanks for the comment!

How fast are you going on ground?

Thanks for the comment! The helicopter is limited to roughly 30-40 MPH for ground operations like this. Coming through about 20 MPH, the helicopter experiences something called Effective Translational Lift (ETL), which is when it will typically lift off the ground during a running take-off, as it did for me here.
