Shelby on first race bogged the take off. You can see the car hook and die, a win is a win but put a better driver in that car and you have a different result.
The first race is crazy but I'm on ford all the way bit it's a 12 year age difference and most older cars are slower so know u know if it was a 2023 gt500 shelby vs 2023 he'll cat srt redeye the mustang would have won
1st race you can tell that isn't a stock Challenger at all. Takes aftermarket build to beat a Shelby Gt500 as always. 2nd race Challenger knew he would lose so he got a handicap to leave early. I have had lot of times. Challengers getting an early jump cause they can't beat my Formula. So overrated.
These car makers are taking these small c.i. motors and twisting out huge horsepower numbers combined with anemic torque numbers. Carroll Shelby correctly said, "horsepower sells cars, torque wins races". These cars are also excessively heavy and the design engineers haven't understood that the engines are too far forward. They're nose heavy and that means the power transfer to the rear wheels is crap. They can't take off without blowing off the tires.
