Alright so basically no comment on the gameplay, discussion about marketing rights and whether phrases from developers are staged

The OG Helldivers was so fun, I'm 100% here for this one.

He really went into a tangent about reticle pixelation. Holy shit.

I had a lot written that I wanted to say, but why bother. I will just say (instead) that Ive never heard Luke sound so miss informed in a video before.

The first Helldivers is a near perfect co-op experience. One of my favourite games that I still talk about 8 years later. I'm absolutely here for this. Day one.

This was more like a tangent about sony than anything about helldivers or arrowhead but alright I guess

I was addicted to the gameplay loop of HD and when DRG was in early access almost everybody in the HD discord was talking about DRG on how similar it is to HD and always recommended DRG. Now 1k hours of HD1 and almost 2k hours of DRG, I'm totally ready for HD2.

Gonna be playing this with my girlfriend, she’s very hyped for this and so am I but there’s one awesome feature which I think is SO cool is the fact that u can operate a rocket launcher yourself but u can be twice as efficient by having a friend reload it for u making the fire rate that much quicker 😂😂

Those were actual devs playing the game during the bile titan trailer. I don't think it sounded too cringy. They weren't saying things like "this going to be fun!" or trying to sound like how they think special forces military talk. They were telling each other important information because the game is co-op game where the co-op part is actually very important to mission success. Arrowhead isn't a 1st party studio. The Helldivers IP is owned by Sony though. Sony isn't going to give up on live service. Live service is a long term plan for them, not just something they are trying for a couple years.

Fake friendship? maybe. Scripted encounter to show what the game offers? Definitly. But i don't find it dishonest and at least their keeping it low key on the acting. As fan of coop horde game i think this game is looking very tasty. Let's hope it has lots of content and variety.

Wish they released this as a s separate game. I wanted helldivers too to be another twin stick shooter with a way larger. Maybe something with a hub world. Eight-player raid missions. Upgrade trees

Helldivers 2 so far is the game I'm most hyped for. I bought Helldivers again for PC and it reminded me how great it is. I will say though. The marketing around this game has been pretty bad. Especially with the "real gamers playing" BS trailers. The first trailer on steam is better. Helldivers is a really fun game. This is just in 3rd person instead of top view. I'm hyped.

As a previous player of HellDivers....most of that party talk is legitimate. Especially in HellDivers because your whereabouts and who you target directly impacts your friends via the camera. In this case, the callouts are necessary to give you situational awareness on what may or may not be about to splatter you from the back.

Been looking forward to this game for awhile, hoping it’s as fun as the first, skeptical like many though given it’s live service.

I loved how HD1 had this propaganda that you were fighting the good fight, but really obvious that you were the invaders and not the “heroes”.

yeah, i remember back in the day people used to clown on the fake gamer chatter with "real gamer chatter" edits i even considered making one of those with my friends for the helldivers 2 trailer but the idea kinda died on me before i got to asking them

From Sony I'm hoping Stellar Blade and Lost Soul Aside comes out this year. Not big on multiplayer personally so I'm not super into this, but I find it less offensive than some live service pushes since this was made by a studio that actually wanted to make a multiplayer game and it's only $40 at launch.

If any game could be a live service game Helldivers can be one. Wish they could have supported the first one a little longer but I hope helldivers two will get that support.

oh my gosh that's so cool that you need to reload your allies launcher! I wonder if it's optional and it just makes it go quicker rather than somebody having to do it themselves. This game looks fantastic.

Should have kept the “Top down look” ya know “Hell divers” duh… drop in equipment…even the specials like: drop in mech suits and heavy guns is geared towards top down pov. This looks like risk of rain 2…wait didn’t Risk of rain suffer the same? Ask yourself which is more popular risk of rain 1 or 2 😅

Honestly i mostly play on my xbox but im going to purchase this for my PS5. The first one look like something id love to play. Definitely getting into tjis time from day one.

Super Mega preordered, I'm a sucker for IPs taking everything thats cool and mashing into a game. This has ODST, Mandalorian, Warhammer 40k, Destiny Hunter, star wars imperial troops and starship troopers vibes all over it. Mix that that with chaotic gameplay, good gore, vehicles, calling in fire support, tactical and dangerous multiplayer... just GG. Never played the first one but one of my friend was hyping it for eternity, never tried it for some reason, but we got the whole squad waiting now. There no way this is not gonna be good, possibly GOTY for me a at least.

I don’t think this is a live service game. Just like I don’t think the first game was live service. They’re just making a sequel and evolving the formula to a game that they nurtured and supported previously for many years. And it looks awesome.

Really looking forward to this. Seems like it could be a lot of fun in multiplayer, and I don't have anything like that at the moment (I don't play PvP and extraction-based multiplayer games). On the party chat, I agree with Luke. It's definitely scripted, even if it is 4 of the devs who happen to be friends playing. I play a lot of multiplayer coop with friends and also random people. No one is ever this monotone and precise with what you're saying on chat. Sometimes we get completely off topic while playing. Other times there's the occasional swear word etc. Obviously none of that is what you want for a voice chat that markets a game, so they are being very careful with what they say, and what they say is specifically calling out reloading a weapon, working as a team etc, so it is definitely planned. I didn't mind it though. I also didn't need it. I play enough coop to know what's going on from just the game footage. Anyhow, that's neither here nor there for me. The game looks fun and I'm 100% here for it.

"The chat dialogue isn't scripted" Actual chat commenter L. Please, nobody speaks like this when playing these types of games. We all know the devs are following a script playing this, we get it, the execs want this game to sell well, but the fact they're trying so hard to make the bug reveal so "cool" via the dialogue is honestly a turn off due to how forced it is. There's a reason why "show, don't tell" works so well.
