"Freedom of Choice" by Devo and then covered by A Perfect Circle is a phenomenal original/changed but still true to form cover. Also, every Me First and the Gimme Gimmes song is a punk cover. They are a collaboration of guys from other punk rock bands who get together and do covers of great old songs. Check out their versions of "Mandy" by Barry Manilow, "Heart of Glass" by Blondie, "Oh Girl" by the Shi-Lites or "Crazy for You' by Madonna are some of my favorites of theirs. Nice reaction. Not a lot of reactors stumbling upon Me First. Only other reaciotions I've seen are from Me First fans.
You might also want to check Leo Moracchioli - Johnny b goode, and Steve 'n' Seagulls' covers. Specially the AC/DC-covers of Thunderstruck and You shook me all night long are great.
