I know so many people have these stories. I was sure something was wrong with me for some time. My doctor told me I was making my self sick thinking about it. It was too long until I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I saw him at the hospital I worked at. I’m sure you heard what’s going on with me I said. He hugged me and wished me well. I did really good but that comment from him I can’t forget
Absolutely. I have been very fortunate to find a family doctor who has been so diligent about following up with anything that I feel is not right with me. It seems that is rare nowadays, so you can be sure he's never getting rid of me because he actually listens and gets me the help I need.
Wow! It looks so good. Everyone please take charge of your health! Drs. don't know things a lot of times. Keep making appointments and ask for referrals. It takes time but you will get there.
I have autoimmune disease and I get it. I could hardly make it to the kitchen. I lost 57 pounds, not in a good way, couldnt stand any light and was just about bed ridden. People have no idea how the struggle can be so horrible. Its not being lazy.
Absolutely. I'm so sorry about your condition. I definitely want to open people's eyes to some of the horrific things that people go through and that sometimes people just need a little help to get things back on track. It's so easy to lose control of everything when you're just trying to stay alive and functional as much as possible.
I suffer from horrible migraines, and I get it from my own family, Kathy. I'm just lazy. That's why I can't get up and do the dishes, or the laundry. Or name any household chore that needs to be done. I actually live with my mother, and today, she just refused to drive me to the pharmacy for some much needed medication. I can't drive myself as I can't see properly coz of the migraine I have. When she said no, I actually went out to my car in sheer frustration to go get my medication, and the battery is flat. So my beautiful friend is coming tomorrow to take me.
my youngest son (39) is a licensed master plumber and has said he would never install a garbage disposal. first, nothing but liquid should go down a drain and disposals do not chop up enough at all. so, unless you like paying $200 or more per hour to a plumber to unclog your pipes, best not use disposals. non-liquid waste should be caught by strainers in your sink, so they don't accidentally go down the drain and should be dumped in the trash. also, what you're allowed to put in disposal is very limited, but people don't stop with those items and tend to use for everything! they never fully empty and can cause smells, due to germ build up too. also, if the stoppage is in your sewer drain, in yard, it could cost $10,000 - $30,000 or more to have excavation and repairs done on that! not worth it to me. my son does tell people that insist on having them, that they should be prepared to pay more plumbing repair bills. other places may not allow them for that reason. not only bad for individual home plumbing, but sewer issues, as well. esp in apt bldgs! lol also, Bonnie, i noticed you like to wash your dishes before putting in dishwasher. i saw something on this, stating not good idea. just clean off large particles (chunks) of food. the new dishwasher detergents have surfactants in them to take care of food on dishes and if dishes are cleaned first, the surfactants have nothing to "eat" and will just build up in the machine, which is a problem. sorry for the lectures! lol
I'm in the UK our food waste is collected weekly. It goes to a biomass generator. This powers a high school, 3 high rise blocks, a large housing development, a sports centre with 3 swimming pools ❤
I enjoy hearing the homeowner stories and I have to say, even though I suffer from a few issues, this family has been through a lot and especially Cammy. So glad she is getting better medical care. Really neat that you have a connection through school. And you have the best helper today 👍 great to see Lynnita again!!!
Even though it doesn't diminish your own issues, it does help to have the perspective that we are all dealing with something, doesn't it? Thanks for your comment!
I'm from the UK, and we don't generally have garbage disposals since all of our food waste is taken away and composted, I just scrape my plates etc straight into the caddy I specifically have for it. The waste is taken away weekly by our refuse collection service.
@@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wpI'm in WA state and we have yard waste bins outside - they definitely smell 😵💫 but we keep ours away from the house a little. We have a fast food place (taco time) that uses compostable cups & lids so I save those to keep small batches of scraps in for a couple of days until full. I don't notice the smell as long as the lid is closed. The large stuff (celery, lettuce) I take out in compostable bags or layered paper bags. Sorry for the whole novel!
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp I empty my caddy daily into an outside brown bin that also contains garden waste. It's collected weekly. Goes to a biomass generator
Cami’s story made me grateful for modern medicine. If she was a heroine in a Victorian novel she would have spent her life an invalid on a sofa and dies young. Although her condition must try her, at least it was diagnosed and some symptoms can be alleviated.
Absolutely! I often think about people suffering with different illnesses before all of the modern advances in medicine. It is a blessing, indeed, to have a diagnosis and to know what she is dealing with now.
Bonnie, recently I found my daughter home in this condition. As I was cleaning her home I used so many things I learned from you and Mach doing it. Thank you for sharing this with me and thank you for all that you do for others! Also,,, I have preached the Dawn power wash spray tricks with my girls! While I was doing the totes of my daughters dishes I keep them covered in Dawn power wash so they were easier to wash💞
I love hearing about people helping others from watchIng these videos. My own mom has helped me out a couple times when my living space would get bad during major depressive episodes. That help is invaluable 😊
Hi Bonnie, A friend in need is a friend indeed and you have definitely done your magic here but what was heartwarming for me I felt I was in the kitchen too and part of this rescue. You are all sweethearts but the owner is so sincere and grateful she’s definitely going to have a lovely experience with your caring and gentle approach. Eva from Scotland 👏👏👏👏👌👍🏼😍
It sounds like a nightmare of stress, worry, doing too much and onto full burnout. Doctors are definitely not what they used to be. I'm glad she found you and hopefully she can get back on track again. And hopefully their doctors can help the family in general.
This is an organisers dream Bonnie. Double sink, two large surfaces to work with, outdoor laydown area. I can see you relished this task. All those baking pans! Did all the kitchenware originally have a place? You can categorise, condense and configure this kitchen to a coherent system very well.
Yes, I thought the same thing. There is definitely plenty of room to spread things out and bring in a little at a time to organize. She does have way too much stuff to reasonably fit into her cabinets and she knows that, so the third day we were there, she was going through stuff and letting go of a lot of it. That's sort of her homework assignment for the next week before we go back up again so that we can actually fit everything back into the cabinets.
Both myself and my roommate are on the disability list. Can't work. The apartment fell to ruin. And I got SICK SICK SICK. I spent TWO yrs in a hospital. Pain? Oh honey, I invented the 0 to 20 pain scale. Previously they used the 0 to 10 scale. There just isn't enough pain killer in the world. Heaven sent us an angel, Nordia. We do pay for her services, but she is a Godsend. She hauls out the trash, does our laundry, makes the beds, washes the floor , works on the kitchen. Everything we can't do. She saves us every week.
I'm so sorry to hear that. You've probably already thought of this, but have you considered a hidden toxic mold issue? It can cause illness issues. I hope you feel better soon.🙏🙏
That sounds awful, Sandra. I hope that it's not constant pain and you get some relief. And, yes, thank goodness for Nordia and her ability to help you. 🙏
Cudos to this homeowner, she's going through so much and thankfully reached out for some help! We know from yours and Mack's videos that some many people won't because their ashamed. There's no shame in asking for help! We all at different times in our lives need help of some kind. Thank you Bonnie for being you and having a big heart! You're AWESOME!
And that's why I credit Mack for helping her to have the courage to ask for help because that can be a very scary thing to do. I am so thankful she did.❤️
OMG LOVE the kitchen organizing!!! (more more!!!). Bonnie, you guys are so amazing to be helping out people who are unable for whatever the reason. Not only do you help their physical space, but I think more supporting their emotional health! You are truly Angels-On-Earth!!!
Thank you. As much as the emotional support can be a little draining as an empath, I also know it's a huge part of helping them because they have had almost no one to talk to about this stuff for years since there is so much shame around having someone know about your situation when it becomes like this, so they do really need a lot of that emotional support. As long as there is gratitude, I have found I can continue to give that kind of support. There was one particular homeowner.... I don't think it would be hard for anyone to figure out which one it was😉.... who really showed very little gratitude and needed a lot of emotional support and that was something I just couldn't do any longer. Cammy is a lot easier to support in that way because she is also very gracious.
I loved this cleaning! There was such a difference, very satisfying and I look forward to see more. All my best to the woman in the house, she clearly has had a touch time and I am happy for her and the family to get this help.
Wow Bonnie that was so touching!!! The home owner was so grateful!!! Both of you have blessed this family beyond measure!!! I love watching!!! You are so amazing!!! What a great job!!!
A person thinks they have problems until you hear stories like this. I feel so sorry for this woman. It would be nice if she could have a bi-weekly housecleaning service to come help her. Hopefully getting her kitchen cleaned will help her maintain it a little better. That kitchen would have been overwhelming for anyone, much less someone who can barely function. I will pray for this woman.
Oh my goodness. So much 2 look forward to. Good scrubbing sounds. Thank u thank u! This kitchen definitely required an assistant. Glad u had help. Its <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="615">10:15</a> & 65° here in the Pacific N.W.. Enjoy the July 4th celebration. 🎆😎 Your Oregon Viewer. 😊
Yes I would love to clean that kitchen but it would take me a while now because of my Fybromyalga and Osteoarthritis, bless her she has had a lot of stuff going on in her house. 💐
@@marie_84 We weren't friends. I had very few friends in high school, but I remember him well. We rode the same bus and I can say he was always very nice, something that I couldn't say about everybody I rode the bus with. 🤔😊
I have Fibromyalgia and run into physicians and other people in my life who simply don’t believe fibromyalgia exists. I’m here to tell you it does. But instead of losing 104lbs that’s how much I’ve gained. All my life I weighed 122-126 lbs. Even after being pregnant 3 times. I carried mail for 22 years on a hill, with a satchel on my back, for 6 1/2 hours a day. Then worked another 10 inside at the window standing the whole time. I lifted huge boxes, heavy trays of mail loading and unloading my truck every day. Pushing around big heavy equipment. I was strong and I was basically doing a man’s job. Until I was in pain, all the time. Everything hurt. Even all the joints in my fingers and hands simply from holding the steering wheel in my car. Then I started feeling sick all the time, like I was coming down with the flu, non-stop. I developed insomnia, and then I started forgetting words. I seriously started to think I was dying. And it was just a matter of time until whatever I had became so obvious that my doctor would finally discover it. That’s when the anxiety and depression really kicked in. This all started after my mom died. She was diagnosed with lung cancer 2/7/14 and died 2/12/14. Then I got to be executrix of their estate in Kentucky while living in California. With a stepfamily that was never close. I guess Fibromyalgia can be triggered by trauma. Either by physical, like a car accident, or emotional, like the loss of a parent. Always be your own best advocate! We all have intuition about our bodies and know when we aren’t well. Don’t let the medical community gaslight you into believing that what you’re feeling is normal. It probably isnt. Don’t let them weight shame you. This is OUR life, and we have to do our best to protect and make sure we get the care we need and that we pay for! Medical insurance is expensive! We aren’t paying these huge monthly premiums to be told we eat too many Doritos when we know that’s not the case! Take care everyone!
I keep wanting to bring this up in a video, but I'm also not prepared for the barrage of questions I might get asked. However, I will tell people occasionally in the comments who suffer with fibromyalgia or other chronic pain about how I manage mine. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 5 years ago and I have had chronic pain since I was a teenager. I just learned to live with it until it gradually got worse and then I had shoulder surgery, a back fusion, and a disc replacement in my neck all within about 4 years, which helped the intense local pain at those sites, but intensified the other pain throughout my body. My pain specialist recommended something to me that has been a life changer and is the only reason I am able to still continue to move and do these types of free cleanings. It's called Low Dose Naltrexone. I am not even going to go into the details of how or why it works, but if you are interested in learning more about it, go to the LDN research Trust website. It has seriously been amazing for my pain. When I went to Illinois, I forgot to have it refill before I left and I did fine for a few days, but I was hurting quite a bit by the time I got back, so I know it works.
@@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp I’m sure you know since you have this too, that you’re willing to try anything to get your life back…or some semblance of it. I was diagnosed in 2015. I take a bunch of stuff. Even opioids. And I know exactly when they wear off. I’m like a wind-up doll in that respect. I can only go as long as the medication lasts. As soon as it starts wearing off I have to lay down I hurt so bad. And take more. I’ll look it up. Sending gentle hugs your way!!
You're an absolute godsend, Bonnie. You're so sweet and nonjudgemental to the folks you help. The transformations are astounding. Thank ypu so much for what you do and for sharing it with the world. 🎉❤
I'm listening to the story and it is fascinating but I am also amazed by how much stuff Bonnie is getting in that dishwasher! It's like it has another dimension 😮
This poor woman was in a serious health condition suffering for years with it. Ty, Bonnie, for getting her home into great shape again. A new beginning for her & her family. Her husband must be the best to not have given up on her.
This is a lovely video Bonnie, the perfect blend of excellent cleaning and 3 powerful women! Kudos to Cammy for being so candid with her story and to you and Lenita for awesome cleaning. Really looking forward to the next instalment of this house. Continued thanks and gratitude to all in the free cleaning community for the wonderful work you all do. ❤😘
Great video! I do prefer you cleaning with only the cleaning sounds and not people talking in the background. I also like it when you speed up the video a little and doing voice overs when you edit. Ever since a traumatic brain injury from a car wreck. Watching someone do something while they are talking, talking, talking- leads me to only focus on the physical movement or the background talking. And I just realized that this morning. Dear Lord, please don't let me be regressing. I've come too far!
Great new series! It was touching to hear her get choked up over you helping her.... you're bringing hope and help to someone who obviously appreciates it very much!
Poor Cammy has been through so much. Thank goodness she reached out to Mack and found you. Thank you and Lynnita for helping Cammy and her family get their home back in order. Bonnie, you are so amazing in all you do to help others. I have enjoyed every video since I found your channel. I especially love the videos with Mira and the collaborations with both Barbie and Mack. I hope you can get it worked out to do one with Colene, that would be awesome. Can't wait til your next video! :)
Great job, so exciting to see that beautiful island shining like new. This lady is so happy and grateful for your help. You absolutely know that this would have been overwhelming for one person. Kudos to Lanita too. You girls continue to be your sweet selves. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
My heart went out to this homeowner. Poor girl, just trying to get through the day. I just want to give her a big hug. You have a fantastic start on the kitchen. It's so nice to see kindness at its best.
So many good things about this video. It’s so great to be able to help this girl and her family. Sad to hear her voice cracking as she talks about her children and her struggles. Love the camera angle especially looking down at the action. I’m always amazed how you can load a dishwasher! And there’s nothing better than seeing those stainless steel sinks afterwards. I never get tired of thanking you Bonnie. ❤
For the record, I LOVE the 360 view! Flipping back & forth really gives context of what area you’re working on, & gives the viewer full scope of the cleaning. Great work today!😊
So glad she reached out for help and such awesome teamwork. Please thank her for sharing her story, you never know how many people might be helped by knowing they’re not alone. Great job to all of you!
This is so beautiful listening to her story its amazing how we all come into each other lives for a reason its ment to be YOU ARE LIVING ANGEL BARBIE ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
This video broke my heart for this family😢I’m so glad I found your channel through Mack’s. I have been been binge watching and I think you are an amazing person!!
So glad you are able to help this poor woman. I'm so glad she's seeing better doctors now, what a nightmare. If you're reading this, lovely, speedy recovery. And there is no shame in asking for help. I struggle with that too, but it just means you know your limits. Much love 🧡🧡🧡
Wonderful work and results! Appreciate the client's willingness to tell her story and I am sorry the medical establishment failed her for so long: she deserved better! I am of the opinion that the cleaning is super-helpful to someone in this situation but the socialization of other women who are compassionate and accepting is also a boon to the spirit. They both matter and have value. Like your cleaning companion- she is kind and energetic. The laughter y'all brought into the situation is priceless and healing... Enjoyed this so much- thank you for sharing. Bye
I'm glad you brought that up. I couldn't agree more. It can be very isolating to not have anyone to talk to other than family for so many years while you hide away and feel shame about your situation, so this was definitely a much-needed boost to her spirit to have two other women to talk to. And she, in return, helped boost our spirits.😊
I really feel for Cammy. It's so awful when our health goes downhill. I hope her doctors can sort out a good way to help her. It's so good that you ladies are helping her. I can't get over how beautiful American kitchens are (well, some) and how much stuff people have! Maybe cutting down on some of the unnecessaries would help in being able to keep it more orderly.
This is a great video. I really needed it today. Needed the motivation to do some cleaning myself. First there is always someone who needs help. Our own situations should not cloud our ability to help them even in small ways. Cammy thanks for asking for help. I am just trying to get through my bed linens today. Found a new shower curtain to put up and was shaking so bad had to sit down for awhile. Not sure what is going on with my health physical and mental. Just trying not to give up. Bonnie, Love your videos and look forward to them. They are always natural. You do you and we will be here watching and enjoying your cleaning process. 😊
Thank you, Joann. I really hope you're able to figure out what is going on with your health. We know when something isn't right, so I hope you find the proper help to get your physical and mental health back on track.🙏
That poor woman needs a ton of paper plates, bowls, plastic silverware and throw away containers along with a good selection of foil pans! She needs super easy for bad days! I'm glad you wbe checking in with her...hopefully she can find someone to come clean the worst up every week..just the bathrooms, sheets, and floors would help her so much!
That’s exactly what I was thinking right now for this medical season of life! No shame in paper plates if there’s food to eat on it! I used to think that lining baking pans with foil was wasteful on the environment and my pocketbook…….until I broke my shoulder and couldn’t scrub anymore. I used it guilt free for three years and now I’m back to scrubbing…..except when I’m tired as I’m making dinner.🤭🫤 Also, recognizing what our priorities are.(Saw all of the dead plants in the kitchen window) I took care of my parents for 24 years,my mom’s last five years were bedridden in the living room and my dad’s last five years with dementia (at home). I would gratefully accept fresh flowers but ALWAYS politely turned down potted plants.(I just didn’t have the band width for one more dependent)😵💫😟 Even now, seven years later, just my husband and I to care for, developing more health issues myself, I refuse to have any real plants inside because people deserve whatever energy I have left to give. I’m okay with this and enjoy plants at other people’s homes and Botanical Gardens.👍 I don’t like to resort to takeout too much, sooooo expensive!,but I do keep a few Stoffer’s Lasagna type meals in my freezer for “those nights”. DO WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO TO FUNCTION AS A FAMILY!🙌🏻👏👌👍
These are such helpful suggestions. And, Laura, I love the way you lay that out. It's definitely too much to take on anything that is going to cause more stress. And absolutely no shame in using paper plates and disposable things while in this kind of situation. Thank you for the helpful advice. I know she reads all of these comments, so I am sure she will see it.
I hv two children on the spectrum and my thyroid and my youngest daughter is hypo I did hv over active years ago and I’m told that can be worse as it causes heart failure. We do hv other illnesses too and even in uk women’s illnesses aren’t taken seriously tbh. I hope this helps the lady to get herself back on track
What a heartbreaking story, so much has happened to this family, I can see how things could get out of hand. I hope this cleaning can bring peace and a fresh start to them. Bonnie I know this place will look amazing when you're done. ❤
We really do need to advocate for ourselves. We know how we feel. We know our bodies. I had Whipple surgery 2007 because there was a tumor near the pancreas - NOT pancreatic cancer so I am VERY lucky. Eventually, 2019?, after countless tests because I wasn’t feeling well, it was found I had pancreatic fluid insufficiency. That makes sense! So now I take Creon with each meal or snack and it works!! So I hope your medical issues get resolved!! Wonderful work Bonnie. You are a blessing!
I prefer your house cleaning much more than when a house just needs to be emptied out- to me it’s kind of boring. Love when you show the organizing kitchen cabinets. Also the longer the videos the better because I like to listen when I’m cleaning. Shorter videos I just keep re-watching 😂 Just my opinion 🙂💕
Thank you! I love the feedback. And I usually do have longer videos. The next one will definitely be a lot longer because it will include two days. I just wanted to sort of get this series started with a little bit of the homeowner's story, but I'm sure all of the other videos in this series will end up being at least 35 to 60 minutes long. I prefer those as well because I use them the same way you do, as company while I'm cleaning my own house. 😁
