That's the thing with countries that are close to natively English speaking countries, they all speak English really damn well (apart from maybe France). I speak Norwegian and I have friends from Norway but it's not a useful language to learn really because they all speak English so well since they learn it from school from age 3 so they are all pretty much fluent by the time they are teenagers and they don't want to speak in Norwegian with me because they like speaking in English with a native English speaker such as myself since I'm Scottish
