Henry Big Boy Revolver Review 

.45 Colt/ .45 ACP would be great in this pistol. .44 Special would also be cool.

If you are correct and Henry offers this fine DA/SA revolver in a 10 shot .22 mag they will have a real winner on their hands. That said I will also be keeping an eye out for a .327 federal magnum, and .45 ACP chamberings.

Henry is a very well Operated company with excellent customer relations/service. I truly believe they will own the market on anything that they put out.

I always expect a manual. Knowing that they do this puts me one step closer to purchasing some Henry's. Enjoyed your shows

I was lucky enough to purchase the bird head stock. Shooting is like it’s almost like a extension of your arm. Love it.

The 22 mag sounds like it would be pretty great

I like the fact that it doesn't have big heavy underlug. I feel that it would point faster than my GP100s.

It reminds me of the old Colt Thunderer. I like manuals. The only weakness with them is that sometimes maintenance updates and typos need correcting and a digital version can supply them.

I will buy one when they put sights on it

Thank you for the honest review. I thought the same idea when I first saw these revolvers that they are reminiscent of the old Colt revolvers. I agree that the manual is a practical great addition. As some of the other commentators have mentioned, it would be nice to see a large caliber version of this revolver like the old Colt new service in old western calibers, 44 special, 45 Colt, 38-40, 44-40. Fine review. Very informative. Never been a fan of brass frame or triggerguards. Don't care for the smell that brass leaves on the hands.

A generic DA revolver that's too big to carry at a Guchi price. Boomers gonna LOVE this.

I would love to see an octagonal barrel and a hammer mounted firing pin purely for aesthetics.

If I was new to the sport or didn't have so many revolvers, I might consider one of these. I mean, how many time can you make the same thing over and over.

Those are some smoky 38 rounds. Excellent point about the style being reminiscent of an old DA revolver. When I first saw it I was like WTH? Makes more sense now, except for the brass trigger guard, which is very Henry-esque, but I find out of place on this piece entirely. The Henry is up against very entrenched competition and I don’t see it coming into it’s own.

My only quip is that I wish there was a longer barrel option.

Make A moon clip fed Schofield in 9mm or 10mm with A 4 inch or more barrel.

I just got the one with the gun fighter grip 3 days ago, very accurate right out of the box, it comes with two different sights a medium on the gun with a higher and a lower profile in the box. I was impressed with the accuracy right out of the box I didn’t have high hopes because of the sight picture but I was wrong. It’s a very good looking piece, I also have the bird head grip coming and I’m putting in for the 22 lr.

Good video well done but why does no one want to talk about how you can physically take the cylinder apart from the gun frame with the button inside the trigger guard

What does the latch in the trigger guard do?

I am not sure what to make of this gun. Is it meant for self defense like a K frame? Is it aimed at the trail gun market or is it a Henry collector?

I want to like it yet, i dunno, did we need this on the market, time will tell, when Heny does a single action that looks like a colt yet handle's ruger only loads let me know.

They ought to make 45 colt/45 too

It looks like a old High Standard Sentinel, the fit and finish look like it was made of zinc pot metal like the old German imports..

I've seen a couple of videos about this, and overall I think that they're pretty ugly and pretty expensive for what you get, other than the made in America, which is also shared by some other revolver manufacturers. Now a .22 Magnum might be interesting, provided that the price was cheaper.

Henry has priced this one waaaaaaaay to high

The only thing I don't like about it is the way the barrel was undercut to fit the ejector rod. To me it looks like a gunsmith messed up and tried to save face.

SIG is screwing us on paper manuals…what about Colt?

For .357 magnum $900 is a crazy price, that is why I stay away from .45 like Rugers or Colts.

At close to $1,000 how is this offering twice as good as the Taurus offering?

Sorry but I smell Fudd. Over priced Fudd junk. Buy a used Smith, Colt or Security Ruger. You'll be much happier.
