You are clearly someone who doesn’t play the game and are not interested in the hobby: Nostalgia and lore doesn’t matter? Aside for you basing your argument on the lore (custodes and SM being the best). What is the point of the franchise then? Why not make something new? And for the record: the adepts sorority’s are described as the best of the best as well. But since lore doesn’t matter to you, this isn’t worth mentioning I guess. @BoredBystander1234 you are wrong. Have been playing various wargames for over 30 years. Started out warhamner with 40K 2nd edition. Your criticisms are fallacious. I suggest reading my comments more carefully and giving yourself more time to consider what I am saying.

@@Caniswalensis Excellent. Calling someone’s criticism fallacious, without highlighting which part, or what the fallacy is. In an imaginary game, lore is the history of the world the game takes place. You argue that lore doesn’t matter. If you really have been playing 40k since 2nd edition, then you should know that lore and nostalgia is everything. Without lore, without world building, a game has no soul, no progress. And you can stick to playing simple boardgames like checkers. I have been with 40k since 2nd edition as well and noticed the changes, amendments and retcons to the lore over time, e.g the space marines becoming murderous cannibals to a diverse representation of various range of chapter cultures , or the IG of exclusively men to a more diverse set of genders (at least in the lore). Depending on how these lore changes have been adopted, the fan’s reaction were major or minor. Where the changes that happened more naturally (changes that were in line with the lore, where the authors took the time and effort to provide explanations on why something changed) have been in general accepted better, than the ones that were just dropped. I had been reading your comments carefully. And what you don’t seem to understand, despite your years of gaming 40k, is that the issue is not that there shouldn’t be any female custodes or SM. But the redconing of existing lore instead of letting lore (the inclusion of e.g. women) happen naturally instead of retconing it’s rich history..

Also, you should realize that white people are not lacking in representation or inclusion in our media. They dominate it. You are not hurt in the least by the character of black panther, But somehow you just cannot stand to see other people represented. It's not a good look.
