I love Travis' pure bewilderment about Ireland. The man's geographical knowledge is basically entirely determined by which countries have a lot of wrestlers, make a lot of videogames, and have a lot of anime.
he has a near encyclopedic knowledge of irish folklore and mythology but only the parts frequently referenced in anime and he just assumed it’s an ancient lost civilization like the Roman Empire and Greece (he also doesn’t know that Greece as a modern nation exists)

Weird, ain’t it? First you watch a couple of memes, and before you know it, you’re watching a 4+ hour video essay, analyzing the political and social commentary in a game about an overtly vulgar, dead-beat nerd with a knock-off lightsaber cutting some insane people in half. You go from people impersonating the characters of the game and making jokes about them, to a deep, philosophical reading of a scene where a dude starts firing bullets from his nipples before getting chopped in half lengthwise
What I love about Suda 51 is that he throws so much insane garbage at you that two characters being biological brothers despite having different last names and nationalities is the LEAST difficult thing to understand.

I kinda hope we get a sequel set in NMH3 where Travis actually goes through the trouble of learning about Ireland for Henry so they can be closer as bros only for Henry to be like "LOL I'm American now!"
Played NMH since launch- and yeah, you're not too far off. In 3 Travis has a thinly veiled argument about why he dislikes Final Fantasy with one of the bosses.
Not sure if this was intentional, but I find it fitting the person known for doing the "funny Raiden voice" is doing a meme of Henry, who (At least in NMH 1 & 2) shares the same voice actor.

Henry later went on to see a movie to help himself calm down from the stressful encounter with his brother. Unfortunately that movie was Thor. The rest is history.

You could easily replace the original scene from the first game with this version and the entire segment would still work perfectly on a narrative and character building (?) level. Anyways, love seeing more NMH shitposty videos pop up recently. It really supplies me with much needed serotonin 💜
As someone raised in Ireland and who is half Irish I can say that I does not matter if you lived there or not sounding Irish either happeneds to your or not.
