Here you go! Feel free to watch my cover and follow to see where and what I’m playing with the tutorial to make more sense Please be patient with me. I’ve never taught these songs before, only played them Thank you Ste and Aud
The chord Mathew teaches at 0:15 as an alternative of using your middle finger just use your thumb and the rest of the chord you still use the same fingers. Thought it might help after struggling to do it the way Mathew does it Lol.
You both are so right. I just do the chords the way I do them, because it’s how Stephen did them 😊. But for it to be easier, I most definitely recommend the ^^^
If you ever can make a tutorial remake, can you illustrate the chord diagrams? Not saying now but it would really help! and keep up with the tutorials!
Can I ask how you’ve learned all the songs? Are you one of those who have an excellent ear and can just listen and figure it out? Or are all of these from tabs you’ve looked up? They all sound amazing! I’m eternally grateful for you
Well, overtime, when you play guitar enough you’ll start to build an ear for it. With that I was able to figure out the songs they didn’t play live, by ear. As for the songs they did play live, I was able to closely examine Stephen’s hands through videos and figure out what he was playing by watching him over and over 👍🏼
amazing tutorial thank you so much for this! I was wondering if you could give some pointers for amp settings on this song? im struggling to get the right sound :)
If you're just starting out I'd suggest getting basic chords down first and barre chords. And learning basic fingerpicking patterns. And some guitars have larger fretboards than others and using strings with less tension might be more comfortable.
It is a Blacktop Fender Jaguar HH. A friend of mine got it off of a site called Reverb. It’s always hit and miss to find this guitar. Check every now and then!
