I was SO!!!! glad that Bubbles got back at Herc with a false tip to a church preacher that eventually led to Herc to losing his Sergeant stripes and job.
But Herc got a better paying job while the police department was broke af due to Carcetti playing politics, if anything Bubs unfortunately did him a favor
@@LytsknMessiahLou The man single handedly took down Marlo Stanfield, then deliberately *proceeded to get Marlo OUT of jail* by bringing up the illegal wiretap to Levy which HE (Herc) HIMSELF initiated, ultimately gaining himself a big promotion (from Levy) because of it. If that isn’t coming out on top, I don’t know what is. Too many people miss those little details...
He not a bad cop. He just ain’t shit when it comes to policing but it’s not just him it’s a whole generation of him. If you think about it he’s been a sergeant over three months now and he’s got no one looking out for him.
@@treypowell567 he had a choise between going back to the grouphome or giving up the murder to avoid it. probably wasnt that much worse off if not better. although he did end up there eventually iirc but you get the point. he had to choose between a bad and a worse outcome.
@@jonmacie7581 Yano I always wondered about that. When Mcnulty finds out bodies dead from the report he throws it in anger. My question is, did he throw it knowing he just lost a possible witness/collab or because he actually gave a shxt about bodie. With mcnulty you never know
@@lifeisalie8922 McNulty was definitely working him. In my opinion, he eventually would have gotten around to the subject of WALLACE and that would have woke Bodie up. You touched on something though. Most of McNulty's work with the team has come through SNITCHES. Like Omar for example
Herc is a screw up. He oversaw construction of a housing building that collapsed and killed two people and landed in EM City now he gets people in trouble and loses his job as a cop.
Herc is a few one of the many characters from the wire who doesn't learn anything. Throughout the five season he has no evolution of mentality or character, where carv on the other hand is on the good way
Damn Herc was stupid gives his witness away without even attempting to bluff, then orders his subordinate to call back a homeless man with no phone when he could've just told Dozerman to handle it given he's killing time reading a paper.
Who gave Omar a pass on snitching?💀💀He ain’t no different, i still can’t believe they let his ass talk up on that stand like he was all holy and mighty justifying on why he robbed mfs. He ain’t no different from Marlo, Avon, Joe, or the rest. They all align themselves with drugs
Bubbles was just homeless so that’s understandable in a way. A lot of hobos be informants for the police, that ain’t nothing new in society but Randy was just slow, that’s why everyone including me be getting on his character because he cracked at the wrong time. Yeah he was a kid but majority of kids would know to shut their mouths about business that doesn’t involve them
He really told the principal about those murders like that was gonna save him from getting a phone call to his mom anyways. That just made everything worse literally, her house got burned down because of that little nigga. He knew then to keep his mouth shut and not worry about shit that doesn’t involve him. He also should’ve said no to the boy at the bathroom for that measly $5
@treypowell567 So what you're saying is a grown ass man who didn't have to be a dope fiend. Has more credibility than a child living in the foster care system ( no telling how many times he got moved around) living in poverty, just trying to make a little hustle on candy. A child who got scared because he is probably getting in minor trouble that will probably get him kicked out and back into the city ran group home. Yes, he thought that might not merit a call to his foster mom. Because he is a child. Smh, you give passes to Omar and Bubbles when they snitch or do dirty shit to people on the show. Lol
Herc wasn’t always a bad cop. In seasons 1 and 3 he showed glimpses of a good cop with a lot of heart. It was the pursuit of power and climbing the ranks that led the end of his career Though, he does end up with a cushier job, probably making much more money, as Levy’s bodyguard. Really shows how people can fail upwards
nah he got killed for lien sayin he aint tell nobody about Lex's killing... Marlo already knew who said sum, he js wanted to see if Kevin was gon be a hunnid before he die
"We know you set him up, we know you weren't alone." Basically saying I know that you had help getting the dude in that location to get killed, he's the only one who was there.
