Eh Burrell has been shown to be slower then Rawls but I think he put it together when Carver responded with "A daughter?" because after that he refers to Cheryl as Girl which typically means girlfriend in lots of places prominently places similar to Bmore. Also douchey nerd glasses time, Burrell isn't the Commissioner in this scene Warren Frazier is whom is the white old guy.

Yeah that's pretty funny. I guess it goes in line with Burrell being a middle aged dude and not having a lot of exposure to lesbian couples in his day.
