Shit if I was weebey and taking all the murders shit I want burgers chicken pizza cokes sprites ribs hot dogs shit I want feast before I go. In the pen
James Vickers yer thinking of two different things. Bunk was asking for (and took) the yellow/orange guts. The dead man is the lung thing that looks like fingers.
Either a cheesesteak from Bills or a lake trout sub w/ tarter. But if you goin there to eat it make it quick tho. Cause if the stash get snatched weebay gon go in on you for being in a godamn sammich shop and having y’all looking like biiitches
For anyone who doesn't realize, this is a joke. Avon is confused because Omar called him using weebay's pager number and weebay just arrived letting Avon realize that someone else was calling him.
I have no bidness watching a 9:42 minute video about food in a TV Show. Yet here I am actually pissed that they didn't mention some scenes. Shows how much I love it
I mean, if the difference between bags of chips and greasy fast food counts, then I guess the "kings" ate well. Avon was ordering a damn cheesesteak, and Marlo at least on one occasion had chinese. Everyone on this show ate shit fast food, from the lowest hopper to the kingpins themselves.
This is why The Wire and Soprano's are so good. You have to integrate food scenes if you want to make characters relatable. Lesson to TV and screenwriters!
I'm realizing a lot of the Wire's most infamous quotes centered around food: "Dat peppah steak!" "Cheese fries baby! I got you some.." "No honey nut?" "Medium rare, lotta horseradish" "We even went to Micky D's for him..."
Somehow my favourite is McNulty's bringing crab cakes and Heineken to police officers to keep them watching on Wallace's house. "Faydley's, uh? You all right, McNulty. I don't care what the bosses downtown think".
2:14 People from outside of Baltimore don't get just how effective of a bribe that was. Faidley's has been around since the 1800s and serves one of if not the best crab cakes in Baltimore. Like, to the point that Miss Nancy let someone have their ashes scattered on the Faidley's dining area floor when they died. Get the crab cake platter with double cole slaw, you won't regret it.
“Man these shits is right, yo.” One of many of my favorite lines from the show. I never heard “right” used the way it is apparently used in B’more. But it’s so dope!!!
Nice debut, man. Great idea and well edited. You should definitely make more of these videos as a lot of people tend to binge-watch The Wire (and other iconic TV shows) clips. Your channel will blow up in no time.
True Story: I remember when I was 16 I've been to Baltimore for drama class, I love eating good ass food including breakfast at the hotel. Baltimore got some good ass restaurants.
It always amazed me that this show mentioned good food so many times, yet, not alot of scenes of them actually eating. I guess hood food is still a mystery to me lmao
