I think its worth it. Im one of those people who built a terrible home made Jumanji butchered from the official game as a kid, and looked into ways of getting a high quality replica as an adult. Full built replica Jumanji games can costs thousands of dollars. Putting one together from scratch involves 3dprinting, wood crafting, painting etc. This one looks good enough to impress friends, and is a great base to customize if you dont want to break the bank.

Honestly, this board just needs a bit of fixing up, for me, someone who is too lazy to make their own replica board, this is perfect, as I am happy to repaint it and alter it to add the magnets and such

A few things I would change; have the start and pieces be magnetized, have a little button on the side that generates the texts in the middle, when the player reaches the center piece, press down and get the Jumanji text. Oh, and when you push the starting button (there will be two buttons) you hear the iconic drums and the Jumanji text.

The instructions on each flap are back to front in the film so they’ve not got that wrong. I totally agree it should have all the electronics that the deluxe version has so I am going to see if I can disassemble both and combine the 2 👍

I have a wooden version of this game and honestly, it looks like it should be sold in stores and it does look half good and not good.

They've got the look of it spot on. I wanted the board to be magnetic, though, and I think the dice and pieces should've been wooden like in the film.

It looks like it plays exactly the same as the original board game... Except the cards are round this time instead of the stand playing cards that the original game came with... also the original game had a card reader in the center of the board as the text on the cards was hidden. With these... they're just fully readable without putting them under that dome. It looks more accurate but some how removes play features. I would really love to see a version that incorporates electronics into the board and an LED screen in the center of the board rather than cards. Side not... one movie prop you didn't mention that I personally would love to own is the mask from the movie... The Mask... I've seen several rubber Halloween masks of the green face that Jim Carrey actually wears in the movie but I'm talking about wooden mask prop. I'd love to have a replica of that.

You’re right with everything that needs to be changed. But I think if they made the I look Electronic it actually made the game pieces stick to the board with magnets would be freaking awesome because that meant there was no turning back on your pieces landed on the board if you liked it or not you’re finishing it . Would also have been cool if they included every time you open it up the drum sound comes on for five seconds even though overtime might I have to switch the batteries out but still would be pretty cool. Then The warning signs on both sides wouldn’t have mattered so much even though they were on the wrong side like you said and I could also overlooked the dice but like you said they just put some thing together because you know I will start to make it affordable for people I guess

Like you said, they totally should see if they can do a less replica titled version of this that's like a trivial pursuit game with a digital add for the prompts and stuff.

I'm not sure about where you live, but here in the midwest, walmart has an all wood jumanji board I'm not sure about its quality, but looks pretty good on the shelf!

Spotted this in Menkind yesterday, I was curious how this is, looked good.

I bought this version and compared to the one available in stores (even the wood box edition) it is perfect. I really like the gameplay better as well.

Quick question. Those “half spaces” near the center aren’t counted as an actual space are they? I did notice the more “squared spaces”just before the end so I assume those are the last ones.

For what you paid I would expect all the bells and whistles, magnets in the game pieces, and LCD screen that replicates what's done in the movie, and the SFX included. Shame, I always wanted a replica of this board game since I saw the film and well, this ain't it.

It really wouldn't be too hard to include a magnet track.... a little wheel for each player, hidden in their corner, magnets on little gear tracks for each path, and boom! You have "self-moving" Jumanji tokens. They don't even need to be super strong magnets... 3D print some hollow, light weight pieces and you can use some cheap magnets so they don't try and grab each other as pieces pass.

If you like that you should see the ones I make. :)

I was literally just about to order this from zavvi, so glad I watched the video first. I’m actually going to disagree and say this is neither affordable nor value for money - At. All. Every single one of your points was on the money, so many wasted opportunities to make this truly great, and I’m sorry but £140 for what is vacuum formed plastic and some resin is expensive, especially considering it is not screen accurate - to be honest for this kind of money I’d expect the box to be wood, nothing fancy, but wood all the same - and the fact they care that little that the inserts aren’t even in the correct sides means that my money will be staying firmly in my pocket. Which is a huge shame as the photos on zavvi’s website made it look incredible.

Its a shame you can't 1. Saw a cap off the bottom of the figures, Then gently drill into it and put a magnet in it, Then glue the sawed bit back on would probably be abit rough 2. Unscrew the board and swap the text boards around, As long as they aren't awkwardly glued down or moulded into it. 3. Place magnets under the starting points (Making sure the magnets are the right way around as not to mess up the poles) But I mean £140 is alot of money to mess around like that... Incase it completely breaks. You could also put a way of clicking that middle section into the middle of the board, Infact your green crystal from your teenage set would look much nicer than the plastic one that came with it.

It is still better than the version we got IRL. Honestly, I prefer this over that version any day.

I feel like a lot of these issues could have been avoided if Sony had either just loaned the company that made this the remade Jumanji prop used in the opening of Welcome To The Jungle or the research folders the prop designers would’ve had to use to build said prop

I was looking to buy it but wanted to see a review first. I really thought the middle section would be electronic. After all this thing is over 100 GBP. I don't think it's worth it without electronic display.

Noble Collection is a far cry from what they used to be. They used to be a company of nothing but high quality products. Something changed around the early 2010s, and they started to make tons of plastic crap with little concern for screen accuracy.

All the issues you talk about come from the fact that this board is a replica from the 2017 movie and not from the original. Also colors differ from the ones you can see in the 1995 movie.

Do you think it’s worth the money? Edit: I watched the entire video and you do not obviously :-D! It could use lots of improvement imho... I’ll wait for a better life sized replica while playing with my miniature game replica. MB or Hasbro could have done a better job for a more affordable price

This is a very atrocious and insulting . The board is not even close to the prop with the die and the board I remember watching jumanji as a kid and always loved a close prop to the one seen in the movie , although the error can be fixed this "replica" is beyond repair at least it's a steal but it's just stupid
